When the three reached the Lost City, they saw that the Master of the Deep Sea had already devoured his Divine Temple.

Wu Chang immediately felt something was wrong. The tone of the Great Saint Mother’s speech sounded too much like "you’ve been empowered, so go sacrifice yourself."

He brought the Great Saint Mother along for a powerful sacrificial pawn, so why was she now encouraging Erin to be the sacrificial pawn instead?
