An unnamed 34-year-old Japanese NEET is evicted from his home following his parents' death.

Walking down a street he intercepts a speeding truck heading towards a group of teenagers, in an attempt to do something meaningful for once in his life he manages to pull one of them out of harm's way before getting himself in the way of the truck and dying.

Awakening in a baby's body, he realizes he has been reincarnated in a world of sword and sorcery.

He resolves to become successful in his new life, discarding his past identity for his new life as Rudeus Greyrat.

Thus, Shang Ke started a never-ending (forced) cycle of constantly throwing away his miserable life.

He would always show himself as a martyr while letting others cry over his death.

It was because of a woman’s curse that Shang Ke was hit by a car and turned into a human vegetable. This led to him becoming bound by an unlucky system in which he was cursed to die. The most unfortunate part was that he never cheated on anyone’s feelings. The reason for why he was cursed by a woman was because of a guy named Qi Chen. Qi Chen was a ladies man, and he would always use Shang Ke as an excuse to break up with any woman that he was with. As a result, Shang Ke was always blamed for the breakups. Since then, the main character could only be forced to cross into different worlds. He would thus experience for himself, the hero’s “thrill”.

In the Bog forest, dangers were in every corner. During the nighttime, the thick white mist blinded the eyes and the chilling air froze you to the bones. Once morning arrived, thousands of ferocious mutated animals as big as the hills roamed for prey.

Moku dreamed of having these powers. He used rituals, magical lore, and all the things that were considered myths and fairy tales in his home world to make him and his tribe stronger.

A promise was deeply engraved by him. One day, he would bring the war to those who underestimated them.

Dionis endured soul-wrenching torment at the hands of his bullies, enduring daily humiliations and brutal beatings that left his spirit in pieces. His transformation journey encompassed both mental and physical training.

After defeating those who once tormented him and reclaiming his dignity, he peacefully graduated from middle school, progressing to high school. But as he stood at this new point, an emptiness gnawed at his soul.

“Why do I miss that feeling?” he pondered aloud.

“I forced myself to become a weapon, yet now i lie dormant,” he added.

Thus, Dionis, reaching out for something that gave him thrill and enjoyment, he entered the world of illegal businesses, trying to get back the excitement he felt back in middle school.

He entered the world of illegal business blind, yet Dionis utilized his brilliant mind to emerge as a formidable presence, evoking fear and commanding a growing following. The birth of a shadowy organization marked his ascent to evil, conquering everything in his path.
