Arc of Fire - Chapter 5: Injured

Skyler's story was typical. He was publicly labeled a waste with no future as a Light — awakened individuals capable of wielding elemental powers. He thought that would be the end of it. But no, apparently that was not the case.He was teleported to the 'Battle Royal' to fight, even though he had zero powers and his age and potential were 100% ineligible!To make matters worse, he was not even the protagonist or transmigrator! These Gifts, synonimous with special abilities granted people powers beyond comprehension.

However, with these abilities came tragedy that enveloped the world. The Apocalypse!

Jeremy Lewis, a reclusive loner, is mysteriously exempt from this phenomenon and finds himself being the only one without a Gift.

God decides to grant him the last Gift available, [Subspace], and forcefully returns him to a world that has become hell.

Horrifying monsters now lurk around every corner, and inevitable death awaits.

Arming himself with his wits and the Gift he possesses, how will Jeremy survive this cruel new world that he finds himself in?

I put all the warning tags to give myself creative freedom, but the story isn't filled with excessive gore or swearing.This is my first time writing other than for school projects. The gender-bender tag is only for the beginning because I wanted to try writing from a female's perspective and needed an excuse for why my MC reads a little tomboyish. The gender-bender fades into the background over the first few chapters; please don't let the tag keep you from trying out my story.Synopsis:Second chances are rarely earned and even rarer given. He stomped his feet and the land collapsed, looked above and the sky shattered, reached out and captured the stars in his hands.

He possessed the body of the bullied and ostracized Esdras Varthos, who had the lowest talent among his peers and was sold to the mages tower by his sly relatives to steal his title and lands.

Esdras used his powers to divine the fate of the world, and saw a terrifying scene, the apocalypse was about to start.

This world was going to be destroyed in an epic battle between gods, demons and titans.

As an ant he was fated to be a squashed under their feet.

There were a total of eight shards scattered and hidden in the universe, his only hope was to collect them all and ascend to divinity himself before the apocalypse. He was not willing to be an ant for long.

He already had one shard of a divine spark!
