The name of the game that threw the world into disaster. 3 months after its release it descended onto Earth, merging with it and creating an apocalypse.

Hordes of bloodthirsty monsters were let loose onto the waking world, killing and destroying everything in its wake. Landmarks were torn down, whole continents left desolate in the destructive wake of the Cataclysm.

As the Cataclysm descended, every human regardless of age heard a monotonous voice in their heads...

The story follows Jayce, an accomplished Swordsman who is killed by a boss monster 10 years after the apocalypse began. One of his last sentences before his death was how he dreamed to be a Chef when he grew up.

After his death, he returns back in time to the release day of Cataclysm. Having 3 months to try and figure out a way to improve his odds of survival this time around.

And the day finally arrived.

However, along the way, Earth is transformed by the touch of the World Tree, injecting it with magical Ethera and connecting it to a much larger universe via the System. More importantly for Elijah, though, it also causes his plane to crash, stranding him on a deserted island. But all is not lost, and through the System, he gains the Druid archetype that may be enough to allow him to survive a hostile environment filled with powerful monsters as well as more mundane threats like starvation and the elements. Meanwhile, his sister, Alyssa, must survive the collapse of civilization as she knows it while trying to keep her family safe. Follow them as they try to navigate an apocalyptic world full of game-like stats, classes, and threats aplenty. Current Release Schedule is one chapter a day (7 days a week) at 11AM CST. Patreon is currently 70 chapters ahead, with an extra chapter (for 8) each week.

The whole world is subjected to a highly dangerous standardised exam called the Global University Entrance Examination. Answering questions by putting their lives at stake, they would live if they passed the test. Every month the exam will undergo reformation while, occasionally, it is random.
