He shifted his weight and angled his body, letting the blade skim past his side instead of cutting straight through him. Pain flared, hot and sharp, but he pushed it aside and drove his elbow forward.
Crack.
The impact snapped the skeleton’s skull sideways. Arthur didn’t pause. He followed with a low sweep, knocking its legs out from under it, then brought his dagger down hard into the base of its spine.
The skeleton collapsed and went still.
