"Everyone, there’s no need for formalities."

Lei Jun and his disciple landed and returned a half bow to the Yuhang School members who were greeting them.

He looked toward a Female Crown in the crowd, wearing a blue Taoist robe. "Master Zhao, I trust you’ve been well."

The Female Crown in the blue Taoist robe was Zhao Xuan, the current Sect Leader of the Yuhang School.

Lei Jun had dealt with her before at some ceremonies when she visited Dragon Tiger Mountain’s Ancestral Court.

Zhao Xuan smiled. "I am well. Elder Lei’s presence brings honor to our Yuhang School."

Zhuo Baojie, standing behind and to the side of Lei Jun, greeted Zhao Xuan respectfully and formally, "Grandmaster Zhao."

He then exchanged greetings with other members of the Yuhang School, who all hurriedly returned his salutations.

Though Zhuo Baojie was young and of a lower generation, he was already an Authenticated Talisman-bestowed Successor in Dragon Tiger Mountain and had reached the cultivation realm of the Fourth Layer of Heaven.

Within a branch sect like the Yuhang School, he would solidly be considered Elder Zhuo.

Other than Sect Leader Zhao Xuan present, only a small number of Red-Robed Authenticated Elders could compare with him.

The other transmission Taoists in yellow robes would have to greet Zhuo Baojie first and inquire after his well-being, even follow his orders, in a different setting.

After exchanging greetings with Zhao Xuan and others, Lei Jun and his disciple were led by their hosts toward the gates of the Yuhang School.

Upon arrival, Yuhang School Elders who had remained behind were there, along with other transmission disciples and a group of little Tao Boys in grey robes, all greeting Lei Jun.

Later, Lei Jun and his disciple rested within the gates of the Yuhang School.

"Lu Boyuan?" Lei Jun turned to a Yuhang School disciple by his side.

The man replied respectfully, "Elder Lei."

He appeared to be in his thirties or forties, more mature than Lei Jun remembered him, no longer the young Taoist he once was, although his facial features had not changed significantly.

In earlier years, after obtaining the Celestial Book, Lei Jun had encountered several Yuhang School disciples in Youpeng Mountain.

Among them was Lu Boyuan.

As for Chen Xi, He Bin, and others who were with Lu Boyuan at the time, their fates varied. Some fell to the hands of the Gao Family of Zezhou, while others were personally dealt with by Lei Jun for betraying his whereabouts.

Back then, Lei Jun had also advised them not to approach the main peak of Youpeng Mountain.

Yet, only Lu Boyuan heeded the warning.

Time flew by, and more than two decades had passed.

The Gao Family of Zezhou had declined because of Lei Jun, truly a case of past events becoming like smoke.

"Brother Chen and the others went to the main peak of Youpeng Mountain and ultimately never returned. I owe my fortune to Elder Lei’s earlier advice," Lu Boyuan recalled the past with profound emotion.

At that time, Lei Jun was still young and of lower cultivation, so the matter of killing the members of the Gao Family was kept secret.

Consequently, members of the Yuhang School were unaware of the exact fate of Chen Xi, He Bin, and the others, believing they perished in a natural disaster in Youpeng Mountain.

Now, with the Gao Family long gone into history, Lei Jun had no desire to bring up the matter.

Upon hearing Lu Boyuan mention it, he simply said calmly, "The will of heaven is unfathomable, and the laws of karma are beyond understanding. As cultivators, we must always be extra cautious."

Lu Boyuan responded, "Yes, I will heed Elder Lei’s teachings."

Beside them, Sect Leader Zhao Xuan also smiled and nodded in agreement.

After sitting for a while, Zhao Xuan invited Lei Jun and his disciple to rest, and she, along with her disciples, excused themselves to leave.

Before departing, Zhao Xuan extended an invitation. "Elder Lei’s visit is indeed a rare opportunity for our disciples. May I ask if you could afford some time to speak at our altar and expound on the orthodox laws of Dragon Tiger Mountain?"

Lei Jun replied, "Master Zhao flatters me; I hardly dare accept such praise.

"As the newly appointed Patrolling Wind Inspector, my role requires me first to travel to various places and visit elders and masters of different sects.

"There will be ample time in the future. I shall often wander outside the mountain, and I will trouble Yuhang again. If it’s not too much to ask, next time we can discuss the laws together."

Zhao Xuan smiled and bowed slightly. "Elder Lei will always be welcome to visit."

The Yuhang School members followed Zhao Xuan out.

After they were gone, an Elder from within the sect whispered, "I’ve long heard that Elder Lei’s temperament differs from that of his master, Elder Yuan. He is said to be considerably more aloof and detached. Now that I have seen him, it seems those words were not false."

Zhao Xuan replied, "I don’t see it that way."

As she spoke, she glanced at Lu Boyuan, who had come out with them.

Other Yuhang School Elders, upon seeing this, seemed thoughtful.

"Elder Lei’s cultivation strength is profound, his mind is clear, and his memory exceptional. It’s not surprising that he remembers Boyuan and the events of the past."

Zhao Xuan continued, "It is rare for him to speak of these matters. Although Elder Lei is indeed aloof and detached, he is still very magnanimous and gentle towards his sect mates and fellow cultivators.

"There are many rumors about him. In both past and recent years, he has consistently been known to show care for his sect members and be considerate towards the younger generation."

After a moment of contemplation, all of the Yuhang School members nodded in agreement. "The Sect Leader is right. Elder Lei is detached and transcendent, unaffected by worldly things, but he has always been mindful of sect relations and fellowship."

The group didn’t delve further into the topic.

However, the symbolism was quite clear with Lei Jun taking up the role of a Patrolling Wind Inspector as a High Merit Elder.

This exceptionally talented individual possesses an aloof yet harmonious nature, and he cares for his fellow sect members and juniors. If he were to take up that position in the future, it would undeniably be a source of great comfort and joy.

Lei Jun had a general grasp of the Yuhang School members’ thoughts, but he did not inquire further.

During the stay at the Yuhang School, he and his disciple, Zhuo Baojie, looked around the area.

Later, when the time came, Lei Jun and his disciple bade farewell to the Yuhang School, ready to continue their journey to the next destination.

But before that, at midnight on the tenth day of the second month, they first arrived in the Qingyu Mountain area on the northern bank of the Yuhang River.

Standing with his hands behind his back at the eastern foothill of the mountain range, Lei Jun gazed upward.

High above in the distant sky, the Great Celestial Mirror was ever present.
