Chapter 86: Chapter 86: Disciplining the Profligate

Early in the morning, Lin Yun finished a full set of the Tiger Roar Fist, a habit he’d developed since his time at Iron Gate Pass. Afterward, at Little Ape’s urging, Lin Yun asked the old butler for another whole Tier Two Demon Beast.

"Father, this kid is a complete pig! He eats a whole Tier Two Demon Beast every meal. Even if the Qin Family is wealthy, at this rate, he’s going to eat us into poverty!" Qin Shanlin said to Qin Shitian in the main hall, his face filled with rage.

Hearing this, Qin Shitian appeared quite calm. He too found it strange that Lin Yun’s appetite was so enormous. However, as long as Lin Yun could change his son and grandson, it was a price he, Qin Shitian, could afford to pay.

"Shanlin, you don’t need to worry about this matter. Given the personalities of you and your son, the Qin Family will sooner or later be ruined at your hands," Qin Shitian replied.

Hearing his father’s words, Qin Shanlin furiously shattered the chair beside him. He then stormed out of the hall with a face full of rage. ’I don’t know what’s possessed my father to make him favor this kid so much.’

Qin Shanlin left the hall. A moment later, however, Lin Yun was led into the hall by the old butler. Upon seeing Qin Shitian, Lin Yun first bowed in respect.

"Lin Shan, please, sit. What brings you here to see me?" Qin Shitian said with a smile upon seeing Lin Yun.

"I wish to discuss my plan with you, Senior," Lin Yun said directly, not beating around the bush. He had come up with an idea last night, but it was one that required Qin Shitian’s cooperation to implement.

"Oh? Tell me about it," Qin Shitian said, his interest piqued.

Lin Yun then told Qin Shitian his idea without reservation. After hearing it, Qin Shitian’s expression became troubled. Lin Yun’s method was clearly too harsh, and Qin Shitian felt he couldn’t bring himself to do it.

Sensing Qin Shitian’s thoughts, Lin Yun said softly, "Senior, your son and grandson have turned out this way in large part due to your indulgence. If you can’t bring yourself to go through with it this time, then there is nothing more I can do."

Hearing Lin Yun’s words, Qin Shitian fell silent for a long moment. Finally, he gritted his teeth and agreed.

"Sigh... I suppose this is the only way. I hope your method is effective," Qin Shitian sighed heavily.

With Qin Shitian’s agreement, a wicked grin appeared on Lin Yun’s face. ’The next two months will surely be something Qin Shanlin and Qin Feng never forget for the rest of their lives.’

"Senior, I am confident it will be a success."

After Lin Yun and Qin Shitian finalized their agreement, that very evening, Qin Shitian summoned Qin Shanlin and Qin Feng to his private courtyard. Of course, Lin Yun was also present.

The moment the father and son pair walked into the courtyard and saw Lin Yun, Qin Feng immediately started cursing, "You little bastard! I don’t care what Demon Technique you used to make my grandfather trust you so much. Get the hell out of the Qin Family right now, or watch your back!"

Before Lin Yun could even respond to Qin Feng’s tirade, Qin Shitian roared, "Are you rebelling? Lin Shan is my guest! You little bastard, have you lost your mind?!"

Chided by Qin Shitian, Qin Feng fell silent, but the undisguised threat on his face made his meaning clear: Lin Yun should get out of the Qin Family immediately.

Compared to Qin Feng, Qin Shanlin was more composed. Without saying a word to Lin Yun, he walked straight to Qin Shitian and said, "Father, for what reason have you summoned me?"

Facing his own father, Qin Shanlin naturally had his guard down. In that instant, Qin Shitian struck, sealing Qin Shanlin’s Eight Extraordinary Meridians.

With his Eight Extraordinary Meridians sealed, Qin Shanlin’s Cultivation was completely suppressed. Stunned by this sudden turn of events, Qin Shanlin looked at Qin Shitian in confusion and asked.

"Father, why?"

Looking at his son, a flicker of affection flashed in Qin Shitian’s eyes, but he quickly concealed it. In a deliberately calm voice, he said, "Shanlin, for the next two months, you and your son will do as Lin Shan says. If you cannot change your rotten character, then don’t bother coming back to the Qin Family."

"What? Father, have you gone mad? You want me to listen to him? Me, a dignified Qi Sea Realm Martial Artist, taking orders from a mere Fifth Layer of Opening Realm brat?" Qin Shanlin roared.

However, Qin Shitian paid no mind to Qin Shanlin’s roars. Having dealt with Qin Shanlin, dealing with Qin Feng was child’s play.

In just half an hour, both Qin Shanlin’s and Qin Feng’s Cultivation had been sealed by Qin Shitian. They were now no different from ordinary people. At this point, even a Martial Artist at the First Layer of the Opening Realm could easily crush them.

"Senior, have them drink this." Ignoring their furious expressions, Lin Yun picked up two bowls of Medicinal Liquid he had prepared earlier.

This was a Medicinal Liquid used for sealing Cultivation, guaranteed to prevent the father and son pair, Qin Shanlin and Qin Feng, from breaking through Qin Shitian’s seal for two months.

"I won’t drink it! Father, do you really trust this kid? He’s a fraud, Father...!"

"Grandfather, you’ve really gone senile! To think you’d trust an outsider! We’re your own son and grandson!"

Qin Shanlin and Qin Feng shrieked and protested, but it was useless. Lin Yun still forced the two bowls of Medicinal Liquid down their throats. 𝘧𝑟𝑒𝑒𝘸𝘦𝘣𝑛𝑜𝘷𝑒𝓁.𝘤𝘰𝓂

"Alright, I will not involve myself in what happens next. I’ve already spoken to the old butler; he will follow all of your instructions." After one last glance at Qin Shanlin and Qin Feng, Qin Shitian turned and walked back into his room.

"Father, you can’t go! You can’t trust him...!"

"Grandfather, you’ve really gone senile! I, Qin Feng, disown you as my grandfather! I’m no longer part of the Qin Family! Let me go!"

Despite their roars, Qin Shitian never looked back. Once he had returned to his room, only four people remained in the courtyard: Lin Yun, the old butler, and the Qin father and son.

"Don’t want to be a member of the Qin Family? I can grant that wish." Lin Yun walked up to Qin Feng, a wicked grin on his face.

Following Lin Yun’s instructions, the waiting Qin Family guards trussed up Qin Shanlin and Qin Feng and carried them directly to a carriage parked outside.

Lin Yun, along with five Qin Family guards, escorted the captive father and son out of the small town. Based on their direction of travel, their destination was none other than the Mysterious City.

Not knowing what trickery Lin Yun was up to, Qin Shanlin and Qin Feng cursed furiously from inside the carriage, but no one ever responded to them.

Traveling by horse was naturally much faster than walking. In just three days, Lin Yun and his group arrived at the Mysterious City. He familiarly led the father and son pair into an alley and untied their ropes.

"Lin Shan, I swear, I, Qin Shanlin, will kill you one day!"

"That’s right, Father! We have to kill him! He’s just a fraud!" the father and son duo shouted angrily at Lin Yun. However, with their power sealed, there was nothing they could do to him.

"This is the Mysterious City. I’m sure you’ve heard of it. You’re going to experience life here for a while. Of course, it’ll just be the two of you. Whether you live or die is up to you. If you want to return to the Qin Family, you’ll have to rely on your own abilities. I’ll be waiting at the Qin Family residence for you to come and kill me," Lin Yun said calmly, ignoring their curses.

(A note from the author, Wufeng: Brothers, regarding the ads in the comment section, I feel I need to say this again. I’ve deleted many of the ads they post, but it doesn’t seem to do any good. I want to solemnly remind you all not to believe them so easily. Just think about it, if you could really earn three hundred a day, who would still be an author, right? So, brothers, you absolutely must not believe them, especially if they ask for money upfront or something like that. You absolutely must not believe it.)
