Chapter 153: World Of World Accquired! Abyssal Void Trial Reward, Tavern of Endless Food and Drinks

The sky violently split apart as an ocean of Darkspawns began spawning across the entire world.

It was a terrifying, apocalyptic sight. The newly merged players across the adjacent region clusters screamed in terror, hastily bracing themselves for the sudden invasion.

However, since Region Domain 513 was still technically designated as a Tier 2 Domain, the maximum power level a spawning beast could reach was Bronze III. Hence, Caelus and Sylvia alone were more than enough to effortlessly wipe out the vast majority of the horde.

BOOM!

Caelus’s power erupted as he forcefully ignited his Holy Ignition.

With Projection Frame activated, he blurred, arriving directly in the center of the region cluster where the densest horde of beasts was dropping from the massive spatial rift. He was going to aggressively spawn-camp them.

He would let the few escaping stragglers be dealt with by Sylvia, Mia, and the others.

SKREEEECH!

A massive, corrupted Darkspawn Hound lunged directly at his throat.

Caelus didn’t even draw his sword. He casually backhanded the beast across the jaw.

CRACK!

The Bronze III monster’s neck snapped instantly. It fell to the ground, dead.

"Holy shit! How strong is Player 555?! He just casually slapped a peak Bronze III beast to death!" Several veteran players hiding behind barricades watched the scene in absolute, jaw-dropping awe.

Caelus hovered in the air like a descending god, observing the chaotic battlefield with utter calm.

Then, the players’ eyes widened even further the following moment.

A brilliant, multi-colored light erupted from Caelus’s core. His chaotic red eyes flickered with the vibrant hues of the four base elements.

The following moment, he spoke, his voice echoing like thunder.

"DOMAIN EXPANSION."

BOOM!

The very center of the region cluster violently shifted. A massive, swirling force field erupted from the ground, rapidly expanding outward. A terrifying, multi-colored dome snapped into existence, covering everything within a 30-meter radius around Caelus.

The hundreds of beasts aggressively spawning from the sky rift all plummeted directly into the churning domain one by one.

All the trapped monsters glared at Caelus with absolute slaughter intent. They aggressively bared their fangs, ready to pounce and rip his flesh apart.

"Since all of you are so eager to die, I will gladly allow it," Caelus smiled.

He pulled his index and middle fingers together and performed a sharp, upward motion.

BOOM!

Blinding, multi-colored light shot violently out from the ground. Lethal, highly unstable elemental power erupted from everywhere at once.

It was an absolute massacre. The unstable fusion of Fire, Water, Wind, and Earth violently overloaded the physical structure of every single monster. Not even a fraction of a second had passed, but all 500 Darkspawns were instantly reduced to vaporized mist and minced meat.

More and more poured from the rift, the density even higher than before. But Caelus simply stood there with a menacing, indifferent look on his face. He didn’t even give the new Darkspawns a single second to breathe before the domain instantly obliterated them.

The other players in the distance had completely stopped attacking. They lowered their weapons, looking at each other wryly.

Player 555 was simply too powerful. Not a single beast managed to escape his terrifying domain. They were completely useless here.

Then, a few moments later, they watched the multi-colored domain naturally crumble away. Caelus stood perfectly unharmed in the middle of the carnage.

The following moment, he stretched his hand upward toward the massive spatial rift still spewing monsters.

Multi-colored light condensed rapidly in his palm.

"Elemental Fusion Attack."

A terrifying, catastrophic beam of pure, unstable elemental energy shot directly toward the dark clouds.

Across the entire merged Region Domain, everyone stopped to watch as the clouds above violently burst into a blinding, multi-colored explosion, completely shattering the portal.

All the players were stunned into absolute silence by the ridiculous display of power.

Soon, a collective server notification rang out.

Ding!

[You have successfully cleared the Void Trial.]

[You have eliminated 5,300 Darkspawns]

[You have obtained the following rewards:]

[1. +5,000 Resource Points]

[2. 5x Resource Level-Up Cards (Legendary)]

[3. Wonder of the World: Tavern of Endless Meat and Drinks (Mythical, Tier 2)]

[Resource Points: 12,345 -> 17,345]

"Oh? A Wonder of the World?" Caelus raised an eyebrow in genuine excitement.

Was this not exactly what he was hoping for?

"What the hell?" Caelus was genuinely surprised.

An endless amount of free, stat-restoring food and drinks?

The Abyssal level difficulty really didn’t joke around with its loot table! NPCs and players alike constantly required food to survive, especially to rapidly replenish lost Aura after a grueling, long battle. This Wonder would single-handedly solve his Kingdom’s entire logistical supply chain. It would come in incredibly handy.

Speaking of which, now was the absolute best time to finally use the Town Building Update.

He acquired this specific update from completing the Land of Snow quest given by the Mysterious Figure. It allowed him to remotely and instantaneously mass-place Barracks, Tower Defenses, and even civilian cabins across all affiliated towns at the simple cost of Resource Points.

But before he started burning points, he claimed the daily automated Resource Points given by the system.

But this time, the payout was noticeably different.

"I got a flat 650 points from the daily log-in?"

[Resource Points: 17,345 -> 17,995]

"Does that mean when the physical size of your conquered territory increases, the daily passive Resource Point generation scales up as well?"

Now that he thought about it, he did faintly remember seeing a highly upvoted theory related to that exact mechanic on the Earth forums.

With his budget secured, he opened the massive holographic map of his merged Region Domain.

He rapidly began placing high-tier military structures. He dropped down heavily armored Barracks, each automatically generating and housing a powerful Chaos Drake, all around the perimeters of his towns. Each Barrack cost 10 Resource Points.

He then mass-placed automated Defenses, which also cost 10 points each. Massive X-Bows, heavy Magic Cannons, and Hidden Sniper Towers sprouted from the ground in flashes of blue light. Now, all of his primary towns were heavily fortified and fully equipped for war.

However, just before he was about to place down his Mythical Tavern Wonder all around the towns and instruct players to level up the troops, a harsh red notification rang out.

Ding!

[Warning!]

[100 Players of your Region and 300 Faction NPCs have just been killed in action.]

"???" Caelus’s expression instantly turned deadly serious.

He violently swiped his hand, expanding the holographic map. He immediately spotted a massive, flashing red zone near the far border. It was Town 922. It had completely fallen.

Every single civilian marker there was dead. All the newly spawned Chaos Drakes had been slaughtered. All the automated defenses he had just placed down moments ago had been destroyed.

"Who?" Caelus’s voice echoed with coldness.
