Endless Extraction in a Game-Like World
Chapter 154: Ender Passive Activated! Breaking the Fundamental Rules of the Origin Domain
Caelus’s figure blurred as he crossed the distance.
The edge of the region domain approached. Right beyond that lay the first and second areas of the newbie plains, and beyond that lay the barrier to other domains.
And that specific part belonged to Region Domain 514.
"Good. We are making progress. Kukuku." An arrogant man in armor said with a sneer. His name was Hedan, a knight-class.
He held a greatsword in one hand. In his other grip was a girl who looked to be a healer.
"The Ritewing Kingdom has already issued a reward." A man with brown hair came forward. "If we eliminate these Solaris Kingdom primitive monkeys, we will get a lot of rewards."
He was Jerry, someone close to the region head of Ritewing Kingdom’s Region Domain 514.
They all looked at each other and laughed coldly.
"These Solaris Kingdom dogs are too kind. They have the player association to stop them from initiating war with us, but the player association in our kingdom is urging us to take hits at them."
This region domain was part of the Solaris Kingdom, and their region domain leader had already given them the cue to attack.
"Come, there is another town nearby. Let’s go kill players and NPCs there as well."
"I will be rich. After killing these players, I will finally be able to afford a mansion."
"A mansion?" Just then, a foreign voice echoed out.
They all stiffened as they turned to the source of the voice.
It was a young man with his face hidden. He wore casual clothing with his hands in his pockets as he walked toward them.
The instant they laid their eyes onto his player ID, they froze in place.
"P-Player 555." Jerry spoke with a stutter the instant he saw the ID.
"Those 100 players. They didn’t have a level 3 cabin." Caelus’s eyes were cold. "Why take innocent life? Have you considered that?"
What he said was the truth. This part once belonged to Cyrus. These cabins were all level 2, and he hadn’t bothered upgrading them to level 3 yet.
Caelus felt a pang of distress. If he had done that in time, perhaps these people wouldn’t have died.
"Player 555." Hedan stepped forward. "The lives of the Solaris Kingdom don’t matter. Their royalty once enslaved the people of the Ritewing Kingdom back in ancient times. This is just revenge for our ancestors."
"But, on that note, you should join our kingdom, Player 555. We will give better benefits than the royals of the Solaris Kingdom will give you."
Hedan gestured to the girl in his hands, who looked terrified of Caelus.
"You can also get endless girls there."
"..." Player 555 looked at them coldly.
"Do you guys have a level 2 cabin?" he asked.
"Yes," Hedan said confidently. "We will soon reach level 3 as well. Player 555, how about joining us..."
However, before he could finish, Hedan froze. He felt his head spinning.
"Eh?"
The next moment, Hedan’s head rolled onto the ground. Blood oozed out of his neck like a fountain.
"Y-You." Jerry took a step back.
However, as soon as he did, his face began to bloat up.
BOOM!
He burst into a blood mist.
The girl who was once in Hedan’s hands screamed.
Caelus slowly walked forward. "What about you? Do you also hate the people of the Solaris Kingdom?"
The girl shook her head, absolutely terrified by Caelus’s killing intent.
Caelus took a long look at her before his figure rose into the air.
He opened the map and without hesitation, upgraded all the cabins in the newly merged clusters to level 3. He even included the cluster that once belonged to the royals.
His total resource point count was reduced to 5,024. With all the defensive and barrack placements, along with the cabins, it had lessened significantly.
"People don’t value life at all," Caelus sighed.
That was 100 people dead. And that guy still kept a straight face while trying to recruit him to the Ritewing Kingdom.
He didn’t care at all about the Solaris Kingdom, the Ritewing Kingdom, or their royals. But he was going to put an end to this needless slaughter.
"I think I should stop being passive."
Fwoosh!
Caelus’s dragon wings erupted. He shot further up into the sky, reaching a height where he could see all the domains.
He swiftly sent a domain-wide message.
[Server Wide Announcement: Everyone. The Ritewing Kingdom has already attacked our domain.]
[I no longer plan on being passive. I was a bad region lord until now.]
[I overlooked the players of my domain. But that changes today.]
[To start, I am going to deal with these people once and for all. They only have one option. Submit or die.]
[At the same time, you all have an option too. Stay in the domain and let me handle it, or come with me as I overtake the other domains.]
Everyone across the domain looked at the server-wide announcement.
"We are willing to come, Boss 555." In an instant, Caelus got his answer.
This sentiment was shared by everyone in the domain, NPCs included.
"You are the reason we are still alive and well. Without you, we would be nothing."
The players’ blood boiled. They picked up their weapons and began marching toward the border of Domain 514.
A red light shot into the sky.
"Are we going?" Sylvia asked sweetly.
"Of course." Caelus smiled.
The entire 513 server had been unleashed.
On this occasion, he had to give it his all as well.
He was going to unleash the chaos dragons too. He left some of the strongest ones to guard the main area and other borders in case enemy players crossed over.
Caelus and Sylvia flew down, arriving before a massive crowd of thousands.
"Everyone. Let’s go." Caelus turned forward. One by one, they crossed the border.
Inside the main town of Domain 514, Seth, the town leader, sat in his cabin with his girlfriend Mira.
"Hedan and Jerry should be back already." He chuckled softly, embracing his blushing girlfriend. "Do you see now, Mira?"
"As the royal prince of the Ritewing Kingdom, you won’t have to worry about anything. Just obediently become my wife, and I will make sure you reach Silver or even Gold rank in no time."
"The other players are like our dogs. They will do whatever we tell them to without fail. We just need to be a bit assertive."
Seth smirked.
"In this world, a lord’s status dictates others’ lives. If you take away their cabins, they will die. Controlling them through fear is easy."
However, just then, he froze.
[Jerry and Hedan have been eliminated.]
"What?" Seth cursed as he shot up from his seat. He couldn’t believe it.
"I told those idiots to come back as soon as they eliminated one town. Did they encounter Player 555?" Seth clicked his tongue.
"Disgusting Solaris humans," he spat. "They dare eliminate the people of the Ritewing?"
The next moment, his face paled completely.
The town around him shook violently.
A barrier surrounded his town, directly connected to his walls. It was a domain wall upgrade used for sieges, leveled up to grant massive HP.
[Warning! Warning! The Wall is at 500 HP.]
[It will crumble at any moment. Please be prepared for invasion.]
BOOM!
A terrifying explosion rang out right next to his cabin. The shield shattered. A glitched voice followed.
"Town leader of Domain 514. Come out."
Seth’s expression turned grim. The instant he stepped out of his cabin, his face drained of all color.
He felt his knees give out. Terrifying and tyrannical auras pressed down on him from the front.
He looked up to see several flying dragons breathing fire, and below them stood thousands of players and NPCs, all unleashing their auras.
All these people belonged to the Chaos Faction. They were battle-ready, their stamina nearly endless thanks to their aura.
"People of Solaris?" Seth asked coldly, masking his fear.
"No. We are the people of the Chaos Faction," Caelus replied with an icy grin.
Fwoosh!
The following instant, Caelus shot forward at blinding speed. Seth couldn’t even react.
Even though Seth had a Silver 1 combat score, it didn’t matter. Caelus’s combat score was Gold!
There was no way Seth could win.
Caelus looked down at the man with pure anger. "Are you the one who ordered those two to eliminate the people of my domain?"
"What if I am?" Seth shot back, his face twisting in arrogance. "Do you know who my father is, Player 555? He is a Gold player! If he finds out you tried to kill me, he will destroy you!"
Caelus just stared at him with cold indifference.
He glanced at Seth’s cabin. He knew it was a level 3. Seeing it made Caelus’s blood boil even hotter.
"A level 3 cabin, huh?" Caelus spoke in a dead tone. "People like you shouldn’t get a second chance."
"I’ve never wished I could kill someone until now," Caelus said, clutching Seth’s throat hard.
"Let go!" Seth choked out in disbelief.
Even after hearing about his father’s status, Caelus wasn’t letting go.
The pressure on his neck hardened instantly. Seth felt his vision blacking out.
At that exact moment, a golden power that had been hidden within Caelus for a long time activated.
[You are an Ender.]
[Your Ender passive has activated.]
[Your emotions fuels the power of the ender passive to break the rules of the origin domain.]
