Fated To The Dark Alpha
Chapter 203. Lord Dmitri
Reluctantly, Darren and Levi dropped Kora and Emily at the Blood Moon Pack and then left after having a little discussion with Alpha Lazary and his mate Luna Dana.
Kora and Emily walked inside the house and made themselves comfortable. They looked around the place that they had been away from for a while and remembered the feelings and memories that they had here, their childhood, and tried people whom they grew up with.
"I miss this place," Emily said and smiled being able to feel at home here even after finding her mate.
"You are the ones that don’t want to come to visit," Dana said with a chuckle. She glanced at Kora who seemed distracted by something different. Though she held Aziel in her arms and had a gentle smile on her face now and then, she still seemed distracted. "Are you alright, Kora?" she asked but there was no reply. "Luna Supreme," She called in a teasing tone but it was enough to snap her out of her thoughts.
"You look distracted, what is it?" Dana asked again. Concern marred on her face. They stopped walking as she stared at her. Even Emily now looked worried too. Kira had told her that there was another reason why she wanted to come here but she did but knew what it was, making her worried and distracted like this was concerning.
"Are you alright? You haven’t told me anything yet, Kora, and seeing you like that makes me worry," Emily said l, finally realizing that whatever her friend was here to do was more important and serious than she thought.
"I am fine," she replied and gave a half smile. Shebresuned her steps and they did the same.
"Then what are you thinking about?" Dana asked. Not letting go so easily. From afar, they could see Rosie placing snacks on the table with tea and a jug filled with fruit juice. She smiled when she saw them and then smiled back at her.
"I am not so sure myself," Kora replied and they both looked at her. It was unlike her that she should say she was sure of something, especially after giving so much thought to it.
"Can you give us any hint? We might be able to help," Dana suggested. They arrived at where Rosie stood and exchanged hugs before sitting down.
"I..." she paused, having seconds about it. After a moment, she nodded. "Okay," she said and they smiled.
"Okay, what?" Rosie asked feeling lost as she didn’t know what they were talking about before getting to her.
"The reason why we are here," Emily replied while taking a bite of the cookie in her hand. "I don’t even know why we are here,"
"Here you thought you two came to visit but there was another reason why you can’t over," Rosie said with a pout.
Kora gave no reaction which was no surprise to anyone sitting there but Emily laughed which was enough to lighten the mood.
"Gaia wanted to come here, and she didn’t want our mate to know, she wanted to confirm something, and there is another reason too," Kora said and the mood in the living room became serious again.
"What is it that she wants to confirm?" Dana asked. They waited for a reply as Kota seemed more interested in feeding the pup in her arms with milk at the moment than replying to them.
"I don’t know, so I also have to wait. She is sleeping now, she sleeps a lot lately," Kora finally replied while placing the cup on the table and taking a napkin to wipe his mouth. The baby liked her holding because of how relaxed he looked and he didn’t give any trouble when she carried him and even now, he was being a good and obedient little boy, something that was rare to see in him lately.
"So what is the second reason?" Dana asked, if she could not help with the first then she should be able to help with the second. She thought.
"We want to meet someone," this reply caught them off guard. Who was it that wanted to meet that she had not already met or that she didn’t want her mate to know she was meeting him?
"Alpha was right, you want to do something dangerous," Emilu said, folding her arms across her chest in a disapproving manner.
"He did not call because he wants a fight, I didn’t feel that and neither did Gaia, so we want to hear what he has to say," Kora explained.
"Who is he and when is he coming?" Asked, Dana. She didn’t like the fact that Kora would not even tell her mate something like this but she knew she was capable of protecting herself no matter what he was meeting. She had Gaia with more experience to protect her so she did not have to worry but which mother would their child do something potentially dangerous and wouldn’t be worried?
"Tonight, hear the crystal lake begin the pack house," she replied, and they nodded and continued staging at her writing for her to answer the first half of the question but she didn’t. That alone made them understand that she didn’t want to tell them.
"Okay, then, who?" Emily pressed on, knowing her friend very well she wouldn’t say anything again. But she wouldn’t sit here and be silent when she could get an answer by probing.
"Yi don’t have to worry about him," Kora replied and they all frowned.
"Have you ever heard of reversed psychology?" Rosie asked and Kora drowned. "That is exactly what happens when you tell someone ’don’t worry’ or ’you don’t have to worry’ they become worried or more worried," she said.
"She is right," Dana chimed in. "Tell us and we won’t stop you, we just want to know who," she assured her and they all nodded as they practiced it.
Kora stared at them for a while before nodding too. Though she knew Dana could easily take back her words and she knew she would after hearing who it was that she would be meeting she would tell them. She can still get away from them whenever she wants anyway.
"Lord Dmitri," she said and their expressions changed immediately at the mention of that name.
