Heretic Trainer: The Gym Is My Cultivation Method
Chapter 577: Pirates About To Regret Everything
Then, after several minutes, Alira finally spoke again without Garion needing to start the conversation first. "Oh right... there’s something I forgot to tell you."
Garion looked at her in surprise and turned his head slightly.
Alira sent a file directly to his phone. "I’ve sent you the information about the upcoming tournament."
Garion blinked. "Tournament? What kind of tournament?"
Alira shook her head lightly. "It’s not really a tournament. It’s more like a monthly sparring event held across our territory."
As she spoke, the same information appeared on the hologram screen in front of them.
"And most of the participants are people who recently entered cosmic civilization," she continued. "So for them, it’s a chance to look for strong backers... or advertise their businesses."
The moment he heard that, Garion immediately understood what she meant. A grin spread across his face.
He couldn’t help asking, "The backing here... is it actually good?"
"Of course." Alira nodded. "This event... well, what we call the Newbie Tournament is one of the biggest shows in the territory."
She pulled up a ranking list similar to the entertainment broadcast’s ranking list Garion used to watch back on Earth.
"See? It’s always near the top whenever it airs. That alone should tell you how many viewers it gets."
Garion rubbed his chin thoughtfully. "Now that you mention it... my gym is aimed at people without connections or background support."
Then his grin widened. "So basically, this tournament is one giant advertisement for me. And the more viewers, the better."
Alira stared at him for a moment before reluctantly nodding. "You could say that."
Garion suddenly burst into laughter. "Hahaha! This universe really understands business."
Alira could only sigh quietly in response.
---
Garion suddenly remembered something and turned to Alira. "Wait a second... you know I came from an unknown lower world, right?"
Alira nodded. "Yeah. From what you told me, you got caught in a cosmic storm and ended up sleeping for five years before drifting to our cosmic station."
Garion nodded back. "That’s right. But, well... I already used God Gym back in my world. So if people hear the name of my gym..."
A grin slowly spread across his face. "Some of them might recognize me and probably come looking for my place. You get what I mean, right?"
Alira immediately understood. "I see. Don’t worry about it. If that happens, just call me and I’ll handle their registration."
Garion stared at her for a moment before breaking into a bright smile. "Good. Thanks, Alira."
Alira simply nodded once. "No problem."
---
Several hours later, the ship continued drifting silently through outer space.
The cabin was quiet, and when Garion noticed Alira didn’t have anything else to say, he decided to relax for a bit.
Just as he was about to close his eyes, he heard Alira groan.
Garion immediately opened his eyes and turned toward her. "What happened?"
Alira quickly worked the control panel as several warning screens appeared in front of her.
Even so, she still answered calmly. "Space pirates. A few pirate ships are blocking our route."
Garion raised an eyebrow in surprise. "Pirates? So even the Cosmic Universe has pirates, huh?"
Alira glanced at him briefly before focusing back on the controls.
"Of course. The Cosmic Universe isn’t as peaceful or civilized as you think. Outside the major territories, there are plenty of dangerous groups."
Garion nodded and looked out the window. In the distance, several massive black ships were rapidly approaching them.
Instead of panicking, a grin slowly spread across his face.
"So they’re blocking our way, huh?" he muttered. "This is actually perfect."
Alira turned to him with a confused look. "Perfect? Are you crazy?"
Hearing that, Garion laughed. "I’m not crazy. I’m just excited. It’s been a while since I’ve had a chance to loosen up a little. They’re perfect targets."
Alira stared at him for a moment and could tell he was completely serious. In the end, she could only sigh and shake her head.
"No need, Garion. You’re my guest, and Manager Paren specifically told me to keep you safe."
She shifted her attention back to the pirate ships appearing on the radar.
"I’ll handle them. At the same time, I’ll show you what a real space battle looks like."
Garion grinned before leaning back into his chair.
"If that’s the case, then I’ll sit back and enjoy the show, Miss Alira." He smirked. "Just make it exciting."
---
One of the warning screens inside the ship flickered brightly as a signal from a pirate ship appeared on her display.
Alira’s eyes narrowed, and she quickly accepted it. She wanted to see exactly who was stupid enough to dare block her route.
The moment the connection stabilized, a rough-looking man with a massive scar stretching across his face appeared on the screen.
Behind him, several large men wearing dark armor laughed loudly while clutching booze bottles and weapons.
The inside of the pirate ship looked chaotic and filthy compared to Alira’s spotless private vessel.
The moment the scarred man saw Alira, his grin widened. "Well, well... what do we have here?"
His eyes slowly wandered around the luxurious interior of her ship. "A private ship? Smooth design... high-grade materials... and only one woman inside too?"
The moment he said that, the pirates behind him immediately burst into loud cheers.
One of them whistled sharply. "Boss, looks like we hit a rich target this time!"
Another laughed crudely. "Probably some spoiled young lady from a wealthy family sneaking around alone!"
Garion quietly watched from the side while resting his chin on one hand. It seemed the pirates hadn’t noticed him at all.
Still, he said nothing and simply continued watching. Alira had already told him this would be a show for him.
Meanwhile, Alira’s expression remained completely calm as she waited for the pirate captain to continue talking.
"Listen carefully, little miss. We’re the Black Fang Pirates. Hand over your valuables, your ship, and everything inside peacefully..."
His grin slowly turned darker. "And maybe... we’ll let you leave... if you’re entertaining enough. Hehehe."
The pirates behind him erupted into even louder laughter, already imagining all kinds of disgusting things.
Alira, on the other hand, only sighed softly while wondering how to turn this into a proper show for Garion.
