"Just a little more than eleven months and I’ll master it..." Gao Zhen muttered to herself with a grin before closing her eyes.

The reason behind her grin wasn’t the fact that she was going to master the Abyssal Blackglacial Arts in less than a year’s time. It was something she had known for months now.

She grinned because of the completely new possibility Yi Chen’s words had opened up for her.

What would eventually take her three and a half years to master fully would, in actuality, amount to only a week in the outside world!

In this time period, she had acquired a dark spirit root and would be mastering an extremely high-tier Qi Absorption Art related to it.

Either of those feats was something that had never been heard before in the entire continent.

As a result, she became the very first to achieve something like this.

Although in the future there were bound to be people who would follow in her footsteps, she still believed not one of them would be able to beat the speed at which she had mastered it all.

The grin on her face widened as she thought about the future cultivators who would attempt to break her record.

’In the end, seven days is nothing to scoff at...good luck with trying to break that,’ she chortled in thought as her sadistic side momentarily took over her.

However, the very next moment, she rearranged her thoughts, placing the entirety of her attention on mastering the Qi Absorption Art.

Meanwhile, inside the tent, Yi Chen had taken a seat and was looking over his Cultivation Arsenal.

============ END ===========

Glancing at the last section of the Cultivation Arsenal, he found what he was looking for. The next instant, he lifted his hand and tapped ’yes’.

SWOOOOOSH!

A whirlwind of information stormed into his mind that very instant, making him feel like his mind was about to collapse.

While this was going on, a series of fragmented sentences began echoing inside his head.

The path...paved through small steps...

Godhood...can....

Sow....today.....reap tomorrow...

It lasted for two breaths of time, and when it was over, new information had long assimilated inside Yi Chen’s head.

As a result, the exact locations of the Godly meridians became clear to him.

After mastering the Spirit Guiding Technique, he used it to form a mental image of the insides of his Qi pool in an attempt to locate the entrances to the Godly meridians.

However, despite hours of attempts, he had been unable to find anything.

Now that he knew the exact locations, he became even more certain that without the system’s reward, he would never have been able to find them by himself.

The entrances of all the meridian pathways are embedded in the inner walls of the spherical Qi pool. Not too high nor too low, they were always present in the middle portion of the sphere.

As a result, it was not only common knowledge among cultivators but also a blindly followed habit to look only at the meridian pathways along the middle circumferential walls of the Qi pool.

A habit that even Yi Chen failed to break free from despite deliberately searching for the Godly meridians.

Therefore, the thought of checking the inner walls of the Qi pool right above and below the spirit root never crossed his mind.

That’s exactly where the four sets of Godly Meridians were located.

Two sets on the top connected to each of the two palms, and two sets on the bottom connected to the two feet.

Now that the location was clear to him, he finally exhaled a deep breath to stabilise his breathing before closing his eyes. It was finally time to start refining the first of his one hundred and sixty godly meridians.

Days passed by...

On the seventh day, while cultivating before going to sleep, Yi Chen finally opened his eyes in the middle of the session.

"I finally refined one..." he muttered to himself while calculating the pace in his mind.

Compared to before, the speed had slowed down by another fraction. The head meridians took six days each, and had taken him eight whole months to be successfully refined.

So the time it would take to clear this set of meridians would naturally be much longer.

"Well, it can’t be helped...it’s something that has to be done anyway," Yi Chen muttered.

There was no way that he was going to give up on the path of becoming a god by ignoring the Godly meridians.

"Moreover," he smirked to himself and continued with a grin on his face, "I’ve got more than enough time to refine it."

A few moments later, he called it a night and went to sleep.

Starting the next day, he kept to his routine of immersing himself in cultivation for most of the day and handling the incoming waves of Glacial soldiers periodically.

Just like him, Gao Zhen had become extremely devoted to mastering the Abyssal Blackglacial Arts and was making tremendous progress, reaching closer and closer to mastering it with each passing day.

Months passed by, and soon the tenth month was about to end.

The night before, Yi Chen opened his eyes and glanced at his status panel with a wide grin plastered on his face.

"Tenth Meridian Refinement Stage, huh?... I like the sound of it."

He grinned, knowing fully well that in the entire light continent and possibly even in Feng Yu’s realm, he might be the only one to ever set foot in this level.
