Infinite Evolution: Dominating The Apocalypse With My God Tier Items
Chapter 145: Bronze Grade Human!
"Old friend, are you seeing this?" Banished back into the gene space, the Asura ancestor’s voice echoed.
And in the darkness, a new pair of eyes opened, pulsing with ethereal blue light... 𝓯𝙧𝙚𝒆𝙬𝙚𝒃𝙣𝙤𝒗𝓮𝓵.𝙘𝙤𝙢
"He has pushed on a boundary we never believed to be possible!" A new voice carrying compelling majesty spoke.
"None of us believed in the human race. I outsourced to the Asura genes, you did weapons..." the Asura progenitor commented in awe.
Then he smiled. "Interesting. This descendant of ours is truly interesting!"
With that, the space settled into silence, two pairs of eyes staring through time and space, observing in silent awe.
Seth stood on the wind, his robes — or at least what was left of them — fluttering.
His hair, now grown even longer, billowed with the wind. His skin had taken a tanned bronze shade, which somehow felt more natural than alien. His pupils pulsed with an even brighter shade of crystalline amethyst.
He clenched and stared at his fists...
[Race: Human (Bronze)!]
[Details: You have broken through the conditions. You have accessed a higher and more perfect form of your race. You’ve taken your journey through Evolution even further!]
[Boosts!:]
+500% increase in the active racial trait
+900% increase in the passive racial trait
+600% increase in the racial binding trait
+1000% increase to all abilities
+200% effectiveness to all stats
[Beware: all power comes at a cost. You have completely abolished your Asura body in the process of upgrading your race.]
Seth clenched and unclenched. He could feel the raw power streaming through his cells.
He could feel his essence flow with a denser, molten intensity.
Somehow he could feel his blood, while still carrying the crimson sheen, now bearing minuscule properties of bronze. So subtle it could probably only be seen under the reflection of sunlight, but regardless he could feel the overall change.
The glyph across his body stirred — the obsidian tattoo-like dragon slithering all over his skin, restless.
Seth’s will calmed the unique companion pet. "Rest easy, it’s not yet time!"
And with an affirming growl, the dragon settled, coiling back down his right arm, settling in place.
Only now did Seth cast his gaze to his surroundings...
Kaiden felt a chilling cold sink into his gut the moment Seth’s gaze brushed past him.
His breaths stifled, as though breathing less would make him go unnoticed by this predator-like being Seth had become.
If he had hair, it would be standing on end — and it was the same for all the other Bloodborne.
Meanwhile, Brandon and the others examined Seth with their gaze, awe brimming in their hearts.
A few among them clenched their fists. Why was it that anytime they felt so close to his strength, he always progressed a step faster?
Why was he always the one ahead? Why couldn’t they at least measure up to him?
Eyes burned with conviction. No one would give up. One day they would prove themselves as worthy rivals.
Seth might not acknowledge them as equals now, but it was meant to happen.
At least they believed so!
Seth’s figure flickered, causing the Bloodborne to shiver in fear, their hearts racing so fast they almost had a heart attack.
Their vision swayed from left to right, their minds mired in a sinking swamp of dread.
A Bloodborne’s pupils constricted as, with a blink, he felt a shadow cast over him.
Before he could even muster movement, a hand tore through his skull.
To be real, Seth was already a bit stronger than all of them individually. The only reason they had almost defeated him was due to sheer numbers.
But now?
That didn’t seem to matter anymore. He felt so powerful, they feared even numbers couldn’t make up for this gap.
His hand pulled back, dripping with blood and brain matter. But in his grasp was a blood crystal.
The moment the humans saw it, they barely reacted. But the Bloodborne?
They were shaken to the bone!
This was the deepest secret of their race — the secret behind their manipulation of blood and their tight monopoly on vitality.
It was their sacred innate treasure... a blood crystal.
The body of the Bloodborne whose skull had just been pulverized crumpled to the ground.
And this time... he didn’t stand back up!
There was no convergence of blood, no more warmth to his cold corpse.
He was dead!
Figures who had literally been annihilated to mush and still reconstructed, figures who had been burned to ash and still revived — yet now, one had truly died.
Everyone locked gazes on the glistening crimson crystal in Seth’s grasp. Even the oblivious could understand — that was the cause.
The blood crystal was a special core of the Bloodborne, one they were born with. Until it was removed or destroyed from their bodies, killing them was near impossible as long as there was blood supply.
This crystal also had a masking effect. Even after their bodies were destroyed, it remained hidden in a fold of space, elusive to the senses of their foes.
But somehow Seth not only sensed it — he tore through the fold and extracted it!
Myriad emotions swirled in their eyes, from fear to anxiety, then settling on bloodlust.
These humans had to die. Now that they knew this secret, none of them could be allowed to leave.
And though they couldn’t defeat Seth, if they could just stall him until stronger figures of their race appeared, there was a chance!
The Bloodborne all had tactical understanding, and in sync activated a forbidden technique of their race.
A technique so powerful it was said that if the Bloodborne lit up their racial lamp, it would become their racial trait — but then it would have no devastating backlash as it did now.
A terrifying aura peeled from all their frames. A deep crimson aura flared around the battlefield.
The atmosphere grew heavier, their might soared, and their crimson eyes turned shades deeper.
Their figures hulked, their claws elongating, their maws absurdly stretching even further.
Their crusted grey-scaled skin turned obsidian, their scales glinting with a promise of more resilience!
The forbidden technique, Blood Overdrive, had been activated!
