My Billionaire Husband Claimed Me His Precious
Chapter 1090 - 1000: Don’t Take It Too Seriously
Yan Lv listened to her but didn’t give up; instead, he felt the answer she gave wasn’t very satisfying. So he continued to ask, "I noticed you didn’t look very well just now."
"I must have been frightened."
Mu Sha said without blushing or her heart skipping a beat, her expression as natural as could be.
Yan Lv gazed at her, seeing she had nothing else to add, and some words in his heart were hard to say directly. After all, she wasn’t alone now; there was a small life growing inside her.
His gaze continued downward, resting on her belly. In his mind appeared a warm picture of a family of three, which suddenly brought a contented smile to his lips.
Mu Sha didn’t know what Yan Lv was thinking at that moment but felt bewildered by her mood. She hadn’t been placing much importance on this conversation, but Yan Lv’s next words caused her to worry.
"I hope your life isn’t all about work. You spend too much time in the lab, I hope you can adjust your schedule. Mu Sha, you’re not single anymore."
Yan Lv’s words completely woke Mu Sha up; in Yan Lv’s eyes, this woman was too career-oriented. Although he always advocated in the company that modern women must be ambitious and have their own careers, with Mu Sha, some things weren’t so easily said, causing a dramatic shift in his mood.
"My time is arranged by the lab, and everyone’s schedule is the same. My colleagues even work overtime more than I do. I don’t want special treatment just because I’m not single, the work I do is very safe, you don’t need to worry there will be a bad impact."
Yan Lv heard Mu Sha’s misunderstanding but didn’t rush to explain. Instead, he carefully listened to her and started to seriously think about their current relationship.
"I may not know what you’re thinking, but I hope you can slow down. Work, life, and family are inseparable. You should still remember my mother’s words."
Suddenly mentioned Yan Lv’s mother, Mu Sha was caught off guard.
From the beginning, his mother wasn’t very approving of this marriage, but the elders were so firm that she reluctantly accepted it. But Mu Sha knew very well that Yan Lv’s mother always had a critical eye on her. Adding to that, Mu Sha wasn’t someone who knew how to sweet-talk or make others happy, so often she was left speechless.
"I still remember what mother-in-law said."
Mu Sha’s voice sounded weak, and Yan Lv felt a bit of heartache hearing it. Looking at the woman’s profile, seeing her thin face, his expression showed a different kind of concern.
"I will take care, I’ll balance work and family. But... I can’t learn to cook for now, I’m sorry."
Mu Sha apologized to Yan Lv again, lowering her head guiltily.
The woman before him looked like a stranger, someone who was unwilling to get close to him. Yan Lv had wondered more than once, was the cheerful, smiling Mu Sha he met the first time really this woman in front of him?
They looked the same, but their behavior was completely different.
Even though he was worried about Mu Sha, Yan Lv was too embarrassed to say it aloud. He accepted her apology, though unsure why he needed to. When he saw her apologetically mention not being able to cook, he felt it unnecessary to argue with Mu Sha, after all, she was nominally Mrs. Yan.
