Chapter 1335 All Matters
Hannah had three days of rest at home.
After the three days, she returned to the film set.
This time, Arnold accompanied her throughout the entire journey, bringing luggage with him on the day he arrived.
Two suitcases, one and a half were Hannah’s, and half was his own.
Without letting an assistant follow, Arnold pushed them himself.
Jack Stewart came out to receive them and, seeing Arnold, was reminded of how he had looked searching for someone by the seaside that day.
His eyes were as heavy as a skyscraper filled with storm clouds, on the brink of collapse.
Since the interactions between him and Arnold were not many, they now simply greeted each other politely.
Arnold went to the front desk to handle the hotel check-in, and occasionally turned to ensure Hannah was still within his sight.
Actually, Jack could quite understand this feeling; Hannah’s kidnapping had scared him too.
Otherwise, he wouldn’t have hit Jimmy Simmons with a rolling pin.
Jack reined in his wandering thoughts and asked Hannah, "Why not rest at home a few more days?"
Hannah replied, "I was worried it would affect the progress of the movie’s filming."
This was her last movie, and she needed to devote herself even more.
Jack knew about Hannah’s plans, but still teased her, "You haven’t filmed for a week, are you sure you’re up to it?"
Hannah returned her own maxim, "How could a woman say she can’t do it?"
Jack laughed, "Alright, you’re the boss, and your man is the big shot, what you say goes. I’ve covered for you at the set, saying you went home sick, so be careful not to let slip if others ask later."
Jack had managed to keep Hannah’s disappearance tightly under wraps.
Nobody in the crew knew, neither did the media, and he had even kept it from his close friends.
Hannah nodded and agreed.
Just then, Arnold had finished the procedures and walked back.
Jack didn’t linger and soon left.
...
The next day during filming, Hannah quickly found her groove.
Due to her absence for a week, her subsequent workload as the female lead was packed.
From wire stunts to crawling through mud and falling into water, for an entire month, she did all these scenes herself without a stunt double.
During filming, Arnold would stand by and watch.
When the shooting was over, he would be the first to run over with a blanket to wrap around Hannah’s damp body.
Although it pained him, he respected Hannah’s work and all the effort she put into it.
For the next three months of filming, Arnold stayed by Hannah’s side, never leaving her for a moment.
As time passed, the crew got used to his presence.
Sometimes Jack would initiate a chat with Arnold.
He would gossip about how Arnold and Hannah met.
And Arnold would be curious about Hannah’s stories from when she was studying.
At this point, it was Jack’s stage.
As Hannah’s classmate and close friend, he was most qualified to speak on this.
Jack was naturally talkative, and when it came to topics he was interested in, there seemed to be no end to his chatter.
At first, he was worried Arnold might become impatient or jealous, but Arnold listened very intently.
So intently, in fact, that Jack worried he might suddenly pull out a notebook and start taking notes.
The conversation went on until it was time for Hannah to remove her makeup and finish for the day.
The "not jealous" Arnold ended up pestering Hannah that night, asking over and over again about her college life in her ear.
About failing exams to being late for class.
He wanted to know every detail about the things he missed out on. 𝐟𝚛𝕖𝚎𝕨𝗲𝐛𝚗𝐨𝐯𝐞𝕝.𝐜𝗼𝗺
Afterward, Hannah covered her blushing face.
