10x Cashback: Your Wealth Is Mine-Chapter 89 Apotheosis
89 Apotheosis
I had woken up to a beautiful day.
My acquisition of Walk Shop had somehow made the news overnight. The news had turned the tech and business world on its axis.
Headlines splashed across every news outlet proclaimed it as a game changing move with the analysts tweeting to speculate about my next steps.
With this news out in the open, there was no way I could hide anymore. Whether I liked it or not, the news will get back to my family but that was okay. I now had enough financially to begin my crusade.
I studied my status with a grin on my face.

The system had given me $1.5 billion in cash and had added the remaining $3.5 billion to my assets. Which was why I was here. To learn what my reward was now.
I dismissed the screen and focused back on the conference room of my Sunset Inn office.
On one side sat Michael Lincoln, my trusted legal counsel who was currently shuffling a stack of documents and on the other side was Romulus Gray who took care of Cooper Real Estate for me, sitting with his arms crossed and a relaxed smile on his face.
Lincoln cleared his throat, snapping me out of my thoughts. "Congratulations on the Walk Shop acquisition, Nico. That was a masterstroke. It was a smart decision to begin negotiations the moment the ransomware attack hit the company."
"Thank you." I smiled at Lincoln.
And this is where my… fear of the system began. Now, I could understand and appreciate just how powerful it was. It has been able to rewrite the past to fit the present, including implanting memories into my head. Memories that felt so real, it was as if they actually happened.
Apparently, I had triggered a previous clause, netting myself the fifteen billion I had used to purchase Walk Shop. And now, I had to receive the remaining five billion.
"Well," Lincoln began, sliding a thick folder across the table toward me, "your next inheritance clause has been triggered. This one's big."
I opened the folder, my eyes scanning the bold heading at the top.
Universal Sports Group.
A sports group? I studied the document. Let's see what this is. "Go on." I said, motioning for Lincoln to explain.
He cleared his throat. "The Universal Sports Group, USG, is valued at $3.5 billion and has full ownership of two football clubs, one in London and one in Spain. It also holds minority stakes in a Major League Baseball team and an NBA team."
"Impressive." Gray muttered from where he sat, his smile still on his face.
"There are no legal complications with the transfer." Lincoln continued. "The group has been operating profitably and the current management teams are competent. From a financial standpoint, it's a clean slate for you."
I leaned back in my chair, a grin covering my face. I was now the proud owner of a global sports group. With my hands now in the football, baseball and basketball pies, I can now expect to feature regularly in the news.
The group wasn't just an addition to my portfolio but also an increase in my influence. That's how powerful sports was. A new weapon to my arsenal. All I needed was a media vehicle to push my agendas. That will come with time.
"What's the revenue breakdown?" I turned back to Lincoln.
He flipped a page and began explaining. "The London football club generates significant revenue from broadcasting rights and merchandise and the Spanish club benefits from its loyal fanbase and frequent appearances in European competitions."
"But the MLB and NBA stakes are more about long-term growth and consistent dividends."

I nodded in satisfaction. "Good. Let's keep the existing management in place for now. I'll review their strategies and make changes only if necessary."
It was time for the next step of my plan. My apotheosis. My evolution into who I wanted to become. "For now," I glanced at both men seated at either side of me. "I want to focus on consolidation."
"Consolidation?" Gray asked, raising an eyebrow.
"Yes." I said, leaning forward. "It's time to put everything under one roof. I'm creating a holding company."
The room went quiet for a beat. Lincoln and Gray exchanged glances before Lincoln spoke. "A holding company makes sense. It'll streamline operations and create a unified structure. But… are you sure?"
"Absolutely." I nodded confidently. "The world needs to see a single entity that represents everything I'm building. Sunset Inn, Cooper Real Estate, Walk Shop, Universal Sports Group, they'll all fall under the same banner."
Gray rubbed his chin as he worked through it in his mind. "You'll need a strong board of directors. If this holding company is going to command respect, its leadership has to be top-tier."
"Which is why I'm tasking you with building that board, Gray." I said. "Reach out to candidates who have the required level of expertise. A good mix of hospitality, tech, real estate and now sports. I want visionaries, not just yes-men."
Gray nodded, trying to keep his expression neutral but I caught the pride in his eyes. "Consider it done."
"Lincoln." I continued, turning to my legal counsel. "You'll handle the legal framework. Register the holding company, ensure compliance with all relevant laws, and oversee the transition of assets."
"Understood." Lincoln said, jotting down notes.
"Oh, and Gray," I added like I'd forgotten, "I'm investing a billion dollars into Cooper Real Estate."
He blinked in surprise. Why not pour a significant portion of my new cash reserve into building up a weapon I already have?
"Use it to transform the company into a Real Estate Investment Trust. With the REIT structure, we can attract institutional investors while maintaining control through the holding company."
Gray's eyes widened slightly but he quickly regained his composure. "That's a smart move. REITs are lucrative and it'll help us position ourselves as a player in the real estate market."
"Exactly." I said, leaning forward. "We're not just building companies. We're building an empire."
"And this holding company will be the throne."
He who controls the throne controls the kingdom.
