70s Delicate Girl: A Guide to Being a Rich Woman-Chapter 197: Yin Yang Borrows Notes
The two new kids at home made the place even livelier; at least Xu Mumu really liked her little brother.
During Li Caixia’s postpartum month, the weather was quite cold. It was much more comfortable than the hot summer. With the baby’s arrival, the Li Family also sent over some things.
"Hai, do you think we should throw a full-month celebration for our baby?" Li Caixia sat on the bed discussing with Xu Hai.
"Sure, let’s invite your father and the others, and your elder sister. We can also invite my younger and elder sister from our side," Xu Hai didn’t object at all; he even wanted to show off a bit.
Life at home was going well now, with many children; people believed that more children brought more blessings.
Xu Mumu looked at Yin Yang, "Why did you bring more stuff again?" Mumu looked at Yin Yang with some confusion.
"I heard you have a new little brother. I was away for a few days and didn’t get the chance to bring a gift." Yin Yang handed the basket to Xu Mumu, his eyes intensely focused on her. After being away for half a month, he had thought about her every day.
"What is it?" Xu Mumu curiously lifted the cloth covering the basket, finding milk powder, some meat, and two sets of small clothes inside.
"This milk powder isn’t cheap, is it?" She looked at the milk powder; it was quite different from the local ones.
"It’s okay. A friend of mine told me that this brand is favored by babies." Yin Yang smiled lightly.
"Thank you." Xu Mumu looked at Yin Yang; he’d given her a lot already. She had accrued many favors, and she didn’t know how to return them; it was a headache.
"Would you like to come in and sit for a while?" Xu Mumu asked Yin Yang.
"Sure, I don’t have much to do today." Yin Yang nodded; it was quite a progress that Xu Mumu was willing to let him stay.
Walking into the yard, Xu Minglei was holding the little one, playing with a toy drum in the living room. Seeing Xu Mumu and Yin Yang walk in, he simply called out, then continued to entertain the little brother.
"Is this the tea I picked and made for you? Haven’t you finished it yet?" Yin Yang was a bit surprised while drinking the tea.
"There’s still a bit left; my family doesn’t drink much tea. My grandma doesn’t use much of it." Xu Mumu said with a smile.
"No need to be frugal. If you like it, I’ll go up the mountain to pick some more for you next time." Yin Yang said earnestly, knowing about Xu Mumu’s family situation.
"That would be too much trouble. It’s okay." Xu Mumu shook her head.
"It’s no trouble at all. I’m not that busy usually. When spring comes, I’ll climb the mountain to pick some spring tea." Yin Yang earnestly said.
"Alright, I’ll go with you then. I remember you said your grandfather also enjoys tea." Seeing Yin Yang’s expectant look, Mumu’s heart skipped a beat. His eyes were so captivating, making her feel like she might fall for them.
"Yes, in that case, let’s make some for my grandfather too." Yin Yang nodded.
"Why did you leave during the New Year holiday?" Xu Mumu took out some snacks.
After the New Year, Yin Yang left just two days into the New Year, asking the team leader for an introduction letter to leave. Many people in the team saw it.
"I went to visit a friend of mine; they live in Hai City. It was quite a distance, so I was away for a while." Yin Yang said gently.
"You have a lot of friends." Xu Mumu teased with a smile.
"It’s alright." Yin Yang nodded.
"What have you been doing lately?" Yin Yang looked at Xu Mumu, trying to find a topic to chat about with her.
"Not much, just organizing some notes and taking care of the kids." Xu Mumu looked at her little brother, her eyes soft.
"What’s his name?" Yin Yang’s gaze also fell on the child watching the toy drum, he was so tiny.
"Xu Mingfeng, I named him," Xu Mumu said with a smile.
"That’s nice." Yin Yang smiled too, his gaze falling on a pile of books on the table, "Have your classes started?"
"Yes, it’s the last semester." Xu Mumu nodded.
"Then you have to work hard. By the way, Luo asked me to check with you if you still want to do the translation work? You can earn a bit more."
"Not for now; I’ve been busy organizing my notes lately." Xu Mumu shook her head.
"I’m reviewing too; could I borrow your notes to take a look?" Yin Yang looked at Xu Mumu with anticipation.
"Sure, you’ve helped me so much; it’s just notes." Xu Mumu agreed readily.
"Thank you. I promise not to stain or damage them." Yin Yang’s smile grew, it was good to have favors to return, giving him a reason to seek out Xu Mumu again in the future.
Xu Mumu had no idea about Yin Yang’s plans. When he left, she lent him a small portion of the key points and common mistakes she had organized, planning to lend him more after he finished with the first part.
"Sis, why are you and Yin so close?" Xu Minglei curiously looked at his sister, noting how Yin always focused his gaze on her.
"It’s okay, he’s helped me a lot." Xu Mumu said helplessly.
"That’s not true, he keeps staring at you like he wants to take you away." Xu Minglei argued honestly against his sister.
"I didn’t notice that?" Xu Mumu slightly raised an eyebrow. It seemed he really did gaze at her quite a lot.
"Sis, you should stay away from Yin; you shouldn’t marry an educated youth." Xu Minglei earnestly advised his sister with a small adult-like seriousness.
"Get out of here, little brat, I don’t need your advice." Xu Mumu rolled her eyes, but secretly made a mental note of it.
Next time I’ll have a good look at Yin Yang to avoid overthinking on my own.
Carrying the pile of books back to her room, Xu Mumu was still pondering Xu Minglei’s words. Yin Yang indeed interacted with her a lot, intentionally getting closer to her.
Previously, she hadn’t given it much thought, but now, she realized that despite apparent friendliness with other girls in the team or female educated youths at the youth point, Yin Yang seemed to want something specific from them. They couldn’t expect to get anything from him.
Was it genuine interest in her, or something else? It felt like there was nothing about her worth Yin Yang’s fixation.
Her face hadn’t matured fully yet; if he wanted to see beauty, he could just look in the mirror or at Huo Qingze, whom they lived with.
But he had indeed helped her, which made it impossible for her not to think more about it.
Thinking of Yin Yang’s face, if he really showed up before her every day, she’d probably surrender in no time.
She liked good-looking people, and Yin Yang’s face was entirely her taste. However, thinking of the things described in books prevented her from having any other thoughts about Yin Yang.
