Chapter 311: Setting Up Huo Qingze

Watching Xu Mumu leave, Su Yue’e bit her lip but didn’t follow. Xu Mumu was clearly planning to sever ties with her.

Back in the classroom, Xu Mumu was in a good mood. She found an empty spot and started reading.

The weather was getting hotter, and she wondered if she could get the air conditioner working.

If she could manage that, not only would she not feel so hot in the summer, but she could also make a lot of money.

However, there were still many things she didn’t understand, though she had a general idea of the principles.

Xu Mumu sat alone reading, while others in the class wanted to disturb her but felt a bit embarrassed. So they hung around, and it was class time before they knew it.

Even though Xu Mumu was reading, she noticed the changes in those people’s expressions. Su Yue’e would tell them about the subsequent events, and if they kept bothering her, she wouldn’t hold back from being rude.

At dismissal, no one approached her, but Lin Shuxue gave her discontented looks and glanced at her several times during class.

However, Xu Mumu wasn’t bothered by her at all.

The next day, when Xu Mumu arrived at school, she noticed many in the class were looking at her differently, and no one came over or even talked to her anymore.

Though she didn’t care much, Xu Mumu was curious about the rumors they were spreading behind her back.

Just as Xu Mumu was about to ask, Su Yue’e apologetically came to her again.

After hearing what Su Yue’e had to say, Xu Mumu was silent. She didn’t remember offending Shen Ya, yet Shen Ya had badmouthed her repeatedly. Did she really think she was that easy to bully?

Yes, it was Shen Ya spreading the rumors, telling people that if they sought Xu Mumu’s help finding a job, Professor Song would fail them in their courses.

Xu Mumu touched her chin. The only interaction she had with Shen Ya was when she asked her about investment. Shen Ya didn’t agree to her terms, and they hadn’t interacted much since.

Over such a trivial matter, was she really that petty?

Xu Mumu touched her chin again. Did she really think she was that easy to bully?

In the evening, Xu Mumu told Yin Yang about this incident.

"Mumu, what do you want to do? If Grandpa finds out about how they’re bullying you, it won’t be impossible to give them a failing grade." Yin Yang said calmly.

"No need to involve Sir Song. Can you find out if it was indeed Shen Ya who spread this?" Xu Mumu asked Yin Yang.

"Of course, no problem. If it turns out to be true, Mumu, what do you plan to do?" Yin Yang asked softly.

"I’ll take away what she values most." Xu Mumu smiled. She’d been at the school for so long without looking for trouble, yet trouble seemed to find her.

"Okay." Yin Yang nodded gently. It was easy for him to investigate a few students.

The next afternoon, Yin Yang shared the results with Xu Mumu. It was indeed Shen Ya because of jealousy. Shen Ya was envious of Xu Mumu’s looks, her lack of financial worries, and that professors favored her as a disciple.

"Yin Yang, what do you think about teaming up with Huo Qingze for a tutoring class? My notes are just sitting around anyway." Xu Mumu said with a smile.

"We could, but just selling notes is too simple. It would be better with proper tutoring from suitable teachers." Yin Yang smiled.

"That’s what I was thinking. When should we talk to Huo Qingze? After all, he has ready personnel." Xu Mumu smiled, referring to Huo Qingze, who had recruited a team for setting questions.

"Tomorrow." Yin Yang replied with a smile.

"Sounds good. It’s getting late. Let’s go have dinner." Xu Mumu nodded with a smile.

Neither of them mentioned this to their families, so Professor Song and Professor Jian weren’t aware of anything.

Early the next morning, after class, they went to find Huo Qingze.

Seeing them coming, Huo Qingze’s mouth twitched. What did these two want? They better not think they can order him around just because he owes them a favor.

"What brings you here again?" Huo Qingze said disdainfully.

"We have something to discuss. Do you have class later? Can we talk?" Yin Yang looked at Huo Qingze, feeling he needed some sense knocked into him.

"No class, let’s go." Huo Qingze glanced at them and was ready to hear what they needed from him, seeing they came personally.

Yin Yang directly brought Huo Qingze to the small courtyard, which was Huo Qingze’s first visit.

"I didn’t realize you lived so close." Huo Qingze remarked. The courtyard was quite nice and tidy, looking fresh and clean.

As they walked in, two small dogs dashed over, barking in their little voices, posing no threat.

"Do you have dogs?" Huo Qingze raised an eyebrow.

"Why not? If you like, you can take one home." Yin Yang glanced at Huo Qingze, wishing he’d take both dogs away. They constantly vied for attention, which was annoying enough.

"No thanks, I’m staying in the dorms, not a place for dogs." Huo Qingze shrugged. He was living comfortably without bothersome stepmothers and brothers causing trouble or rebukes from his dad, living life freely.

"Even if you wanted, I wouldn’t let you." Xu Mumu rolled her eyes at Yin Yang, annoyed by his habitual antagonism towards the puppies.

"Come in, my grandpas have class, so they’re not home." Yin Yang shrugged, indifferent to Xu Mumu glaring at him, as it had no real threat.

Xu Mumu went to make some tea and brought some fruit.

"What did you come to me for?" Huo Qingze looked at them curiously.

"We wanted to see if you’d be interested in making some money. Want in?" Yin Yang asked Huo Qingze with a smile.

"Are you sure it’s making money and not a scam on me?" Huo Qingze raised an eyebrow. "Don’t you have people of your own? Whatever you’re planning, you could muster a team yourself." Huo Qingze looked at Yin Yang.

Though he wasn’t sure about Yin Yang’s background, he’d deduced that it was something extraordinary based on what he knew.

For instance, during the professors’ rehabilitation issue, they weren’t the initial nominees yet managed to forcefully make the list, and his father’s intel suggested higher-ups were involved.

"You have ready teams; it’s too troublesome to specially arrange people on my end." Yin Yang shook his head.

"So, what exactly do you want me to do?" Huo Qingze wanted to roll his eyes, wondering if the two had come to him out of sheer laziness to do the work themselves.

"We want to start a tutoring class. You probably have a lot of people on your end, and with the college entrance exam a month away, a lot of students will be seeking extra classes post-exam." Xu Mumu said with a smile.
