A Bastard's Allure-Chapter 129: Wounded By A Woman!
They crossed the remaining distance without exchanging a word. Gabriel’s thirst had skyrocketed while Elena’s pulse had drastically increased around her mark.
He held her by her hands, his red eyes locking with hers as if to savor the moment. His claws had also grown long, softly grazing her skin as he caressed his way up to her neck.
He softly stroked her mark with his index finger making her swallow hard. He pushed her messy hair to her back to reveal the vein popping on her neck. Her scent had never been this stronger.
Leaning in, he let his warm breath trail on her skin, his sharp fangs sending a jolt around her entire body when they grazed her neck. Strangely, she wanted him to bite her as much as he did.
Her hand instinctively flew to the back of his head to tug him closer, as if he wasn’t close enough already.
Gabriel took that as a cue, and without warning, he sunk his fangs into her flesh. Her blood filled his mouth, the heavenly taste making him take more than he was meant to.
But his beast savored the taste, urging him to run her dry. This taste, it was too good to let go!
Elena felt a sense of satisfaction wear over her in the mixture of pain. There was something about being remarked that felt calming to her soul. But right now, he was still clinging to her like a tick, not ready to let go.
It was a pattern she had come to realize whenever he tasted her blood. But this time, she was determined to control him.
Holding him by his hair, she tried to pull him but his free hand held hers with a strong grip. His claws intertwined to seal her both hands in position. Damn, he was strong!
Elena felt the dizziness creeping in as he continued to suck from her. Fear kicked in when she remembered what he nearly did the last time he marked her.
"Gabriel?" She called, her voice now hoarse. Taking in the fact that she was already thirsty before only heightened the situation for the worse.
She hoped he’d stop after calling his name but all she could see was the nook of his neck buried into hers. She knew she had to try something different.
Mustering all the energy she had, she kneed him in the stomach. It seemed to work as Gabriel withdrew his fangs from her neck. But the next thing she knew, he pinned her against the wall, her back crashing against the solid rough edges of the dungeon pavements. Blood poured out through her mouth.
And as if that was not enough, Gabriel lifted her by her neck. She was lifted a few feet from the ground as she choked on her own blood.
Gabriel’s still red eyes stared deathly at her as blood dripped from his fangs. He run his tongue along the edges to clean them, but he was not done yet.
Elena struggled to breath against his hold. Her eyes found his, but all she could see was hunger and thirst for her blood. This was not the Gabriel she was used to.
She struggled to choke some words out but it was all in vain. At this rate, she could feel the life slowly slipping out of her.
As a last resort, she held his hands with the little strength she had and whispered, "Allicent."
A frown settled on Gabriel’s face at the mention of the name. The vivid red in his eyes slowly turned into amber before returning to their normal gold.
The sight in front of him felt like one he’d been reincarnated into. He let go of Elena, the fear clouding his eyes. His hands were full of blood, he noticed. And the woman he loved was kneeling in front of her! This was his doing!
"What have I done?" He asked, still staring at his hands and back to Elena.
Darion stepped into the pavement, his back leaning against the wall for support. His left arm was broken, and standing appeared like a challenge to him.
Blood dripped from his scalp to his face, leaving a trail up to his neck. The only thing that kept him standing was the fact that Gabriel was okay and Elena was unhurt.
Their eyes locked with Gabriel’s but his was filled with terror and regret. He crossed the remaining distance between them and said, "I’ll get someone to tend to your wounds."
Without waiting for a reply, Gabriel left the dungeons. Darion crawled towards Elena and leaned back so that they were both staring at the same direction.
"I never thought you had it in you," he said, a smirk on his lips. He wanted to scoff but coughed out more blood instead.
"Defeated by a woman," he added and snickered.
"At least it was your princess," Elena intoned. She turned to look at him and he smiled back at her wryly. They both stared back at the ceiling.
"I just wanted to get to him. At that moment, anyone who stood between me and him appeared to be a distraction," she explained.
"I understand. I tried to stop you because I thought he’d hurt you but you were his cure all along," he scoffed.
A group of knights appeared from the end of the corridor and rushed towards where they were.
"My queen? What happened?" The one dressed like a captain asked.
"Help him first," Elena said, referring to Darion. The captain gave the knights a nod and they rushed to help him.
"Easy lads. I might have broken a few bones," Darion said as they helped him back to his feet. They leaped away headed for the physician’s chamber.
The captain lifted Elena and carried her to her room. She was expecting to find Gabriel there but he was not.
"Has anyone seen my husband?" She asked.
"Let me fetch the physician My queen," the captain excused himself. The maids who were replacing the bloodied sheets avoided her eyes and busied themselves with folding them and throwing them in the basket.

Darion was resting in a makeshift bed in the physician’s chamber, all bandaged up now. The old man had given him a sour liquid for the pain but he knew it was a matter of time before his wounds would be completely healed.
He tried moving his limbs but the pain that shot across his body was too much to bear. Beads of sweat formed on his face as he lay down panting like one who had run across a field.
The door creaked open, and when he painly turned his head to the other side, he saw a person he least expected. She came with a basket as was her usual norm in Mysthaven, her hair now braided in a single knot like the rest of the humans.
His eyes followed her from the door until she sat by her side, setting the basket on the floor. Her eyes met with his, the pity in them making Darion to hate himself. She touched his hand and leaned closer.
"I heard what happened to you," she said, her voice low.
But to Darion, this felt like mockery. What happened to him was nothing any man would wish upon himself. He was lying here all thanks to a woman. Back in Eldoria, he could have been labeled a weak vampire. But again, Elena was the queen.
"Have you come to laugh at me?" He asked, his eyes everywhere else but her. "Go on then."
Jophiel stood abruptly, the warmth of her touch now being replaced by the cold he was used to.
"If you want me to leave, just say it," she said. The anger was evident in her voice. And why couldn’t she be? He had treated her badly after having her body and all she was trying to do was being nice to him.
"Stay," he replied.
Her mouth opened and closed, the words she wanted to say disappearing in her throat. Hesitantly, she sat on the edge of the bed, now close so that she could see his face. He smiled at her, a nervous smile she noticed.
"I brought something for the broken joints," she said. Leaning over, she rummaged through her basket to fetch the medicine. Darion’s eyes flew to her curved back and settled on her ass. In his painful state, he felt something stir in his groin.
"Take it after every meal," Jophiel said, turning to look at him. She caught him staring at her ass before their eyes locked. A blush crept up her cheeks.
"You’re still a jerk," she feigned anger. 𝘧𝑟𝑒𝑒𝘸𝘦𝘣𝑛𝑜𝘷𝑒𝓁.𝘤𝘰𝓂
"A sick jerk," Darion scoffed. He watched her reaction but she was a master in hiding it.
Taking the medicine, he added. "After every meal you said?"
Jophiel didn’t know why but when their eyes locked again, she felt a jolt run through her body. There was something about his eyes that told her his statement held a deeper meaning.
"I have to leave," she said. At this rate, she couldn’t hide her red cheeks anymore.
Darion held her hand before she could leave. "Will you come visit again?" He asked.
She gave him a nod before leaving. Darion’s eyes were fixated on her retreating figure all the while until she left. The pain shot back again after she was out of sight.
