Qiong Xing still wondered how the topic of quitting as an adventurer had somehow turned into becoming their grandson.

"Oh, you came. And today there are even more people with you. You said you had something to talk about?" Katarina said after they entered.

Besides Albe and Cari who were always with Qiong Xing, Brat was also there today, so Katarina looked surprised.

"Yes. But before that, would you like some tea? As thanks for the other day, I brought a small gift," Qiong Xing said with a gentle smile.

As the tea and plates were brought out, Qiong Xing then opened his bag and began handing out the items one by one.

Cari who already knew what it was happily started eating right away.

The others who didn’t know watched him curiously as he enjoyed it.

"I finally managed to make it properly, so I wanted to bring it to you. It looks similar to bread, but it’s softer and a little sweeter. If you like it, I also brought some honey, so please try pouring a little on top," Qiong Xing explained.

What he placed on the plates was something very simple.

It looked like sponge cake, though it was actually closer to a pound cake.

Even so, after a lot of trial and error he had finally managed to complete it.

Since Qiong Xing did not have much appetite lately, he only accepted a cup of tea.

"You might feel hesitant since it’s something you’ve never seen before. But as you can see, it’s safe enough for this child to eat, so it’s perfectly fine," Qiong Xing said.

It almost sounded like Cari was acting as a taste tester, but seeing Cari happily chewing encouraged Albe to gather his courage and take a bite.

Hearing that, the other three were encouraged as well.

They each took a bite and then looked surprised.

Soon they were taking another bite and continuing to eat.

"This is amazing."

"To think you can make something this delicious... our grandson really is amazing," Sarin said proudly.

"Seriously though," Katarina said as she narrowing her eyes a little, "you didn’t take a single bite. Was it really okay for us to eat everything?"

As expected, Katarina had noticed.

Her words made Brat and Sarin suddenly realize it as well and they stopped eating in surprise.

"It’s fine," Qiong Xing replied calmly. "But that is actually related to the report I wanted to give you today. The truth is... I’m going to have a child. It’s my biological child and the baby is inside me right now."

"Wha—WHAT!?"

The shocked voices of the three of them echoed so loudly that the entire guild reportedly heard them that day.

A child? A child, he said?

They wanted to ask what in the world he was talking about, but looking at how calm Qiong Xing was it was clear that he was not joking.

"When you say the baby is inside you... you mean you’re pregnant?" Katarina asked carefully.

Even though it sounded unbelievable, she wanted to confirm it.

Qiong Xing simply nodded with a gentle smile, which only made the confusion grow stronger.

When she glanced to the side, she saw that Sarin was just as shocked as hr.

He was frozen in place as he staring at Qiong Xing in disbelief.

"I always thought you were a man," Katarina said slowly. "Was I mistaken?"

"No, you’re not mistaken," Qiong Xing replied calmly. "But I did say before that my mates is a man. If I add more details, he is a beastman. And in some special cases, even a man can become pregnant depending on the mates. That’s the situation here."

None of them could close their mouths.

At this point, they didn’t even know what they should be most surprised about anymore.

She had no intention of pushing him into taking dangerous jobs.

"Honestly, you really do keep surprising us again and again," she said with a laugh. "Not that I mind. I actually enjoy it."

"I’m not trying to surprise anyone... but I’m glad it’s not causing trouble," Qiong Xing replied.

He sipped his tea with a gentle smile.

The calm way he did it made him look strangely like an old man.
