A Husband For Killer Mom-Chapter 265 - Loraine’s Torture Room
265 Ch. 265 Loraine’s Torture Room
(Flashback to the previous night)
Mei Yin always accompanied Elliot in the boy’s room per her promise to Anxia. While Elliot was asleep, the girl played some games on her phone while waiting for Anxia to return.
Just as the clock struck midnight, Mei Yin’s sharp ears caught a sound of rumble from outside the balcony. Feeling curious and not wanting the sound to wake Elliot, Mei Yin decided to step out onto the balcony for a while to find out what was happening.
When Mei Yin opened the balcony door, she heard at least three to five voices whispering from downstairs. After gently closing the balcony door to avoid making a sound, Mei Yin walked to the balcony’s edge and looked down. As she expected, the five maids had not yet slept and were gossiping about something.
“Hey, why are you girls doing here?”
The five maidservants gasped when they heard a voice from above them. In unison, the five raised their heads to look at Mei Yin. Strangely, when they realized that the person who called them was Mei Yin, they looked agitated, which confused Mei Yin. She felt as if the source of their gossip was her.
“Are you guys badmouthing me or trying to plot to get rid of me secretly?” Mei Yin’s voice sounded cold and had a threatening element to it.
“No… no. Of course, we dare not speak ill of you.”
“So?” Mei Yin demanded an answer, patiently waiting for one of them to answer her.
.....
“That… Miss Mei Yin… currently Lady Shu… she…”
“What’s wrong with our mistress?” Mei Yin did not care about the mistress of this place, but she couldn’t let it slide as the gossip involved her as well.
“Your foster mother….” Please visit ƒ𝐫𝒆e𝓌𝒆𝚋𝗻૦𝘷𝑒𝙡. 𝑐𝘰𝐦
Without hearing the continuation of one of the maids’ words, Mei Yin jumped down from the balcony making the five maids jump in surprise because they did not expect Mei Yin to jump down.
They wore adoring looks as they saw Mei Yin land on the ground so skillfully without getting hurt, but that wasn’t what they were concerned about.
“Where are they now?” demanded Mei Yin trying to hold back her anger, hearing the mistress decided to torture Jamie at a time like this. She was worried about her mother and momentarily forgot about her promise to Anxia.
As soon as she heard that Jamie was currently in the torture room in the basement, Mei Yin directly dashed over there, leaving Elliot alone.
Mei Yin could hear screams when she entered the basement and opened the detention room door. She quickened her pace and kicked one of the doors. Her bloodshot eyes were filled with great anger as she saw her mother huddled in a corner with her clothes covered in blood.
“Oh, you came faster than I expected,” stated Loraine Shu in a flat tone and again swung her hand to whip back the mute woman who had been seriously injured.
Mei Yin moved and held Loraine’s wrist before this demonic woman inflicted another wound on her mother.
“Stop!!” demanded Mei Yin, half ordering and half pleading. “What wrong has she done for you to punish her like this?” Even though Mei Yin wanted to snatch the whip tool from this woman’s hands and repay Loraine’s actions with dozens of harsher whips, Mei Yin still controlled her emotions.
After all, the owner and ruler of this place were Loraine Shu. Her and Jamie’s lives were in this woman’s hands as long as they were in this place. Mei Yin would not dare to act outside her boundaries and tried so hard to turn a blind eye every time this woman tormented her adoptive mother.
But… Jamie was no longer young, and her body was basically fragile and covered with old wounds that were still not fully healed. If the mute woman were tortured until Loraine Shu was satisfied, Jamie would leave this world sooner or later.
“Wrong? Do you want to know the mistake? She has made a huge mistake!” Loraine hissed as she jerked her hand away from Mei Yin with all her might.
Loraine might indeed be a coward, but she was not in the least afraid of Mei Yin, who was just an ordinary child and had no strong backing behind her.
Unlike Anxia, who had the backing of Deke Shu and could only harm Elliot through other people’s hands, Mei Yin had no connections with anyone, so Loraine wasn’t afraid of the young girl.
“This woman made my daughter hate me and persuaded my grandson to come with my daughter. You think I don’t know what you’ve got planned?” Loraine sneered at Jamie, who was now sobbing because her body was attacked by excruciating pain. “I will make sure none of you ever leave this place.”
Again Loraine raised her hand to swing the rope of her whip to hit Jamie. But Mei Yin knelt to block the target of the whip rope that was swung so that it hit her body.
“This is my fault. I was the one who urged Anxia to leave you. You better punish me. Don’t hurt her!” Mei Yin could no longer hold back her tears seeing the pitiful condition of her adoptive mother.
“Good. I will do as you wish.” Loraine smiled contentedly and swung the rope of her whip, repeatedly hitting Mei Yin as if she was never tired.
The young girl’s clothes began to be torn, and long lines of red appeared on almost all of her body―the skin of her cheeks, neck, arms, and stomach were now torn and bleeding.
Mei Yin didn’t struggle and didn’t budge from her spot even though she felt a weak hand from behind trying to shake her away. She also heard the sobbing of her mother trying to persuade her to leave her place.
Even though Jamie couldn’t speak, Mei Yin felt like she could hear the woman’s inner voice.
‘Go. You stupid child! Why are you standing here?’
Mei Yin’s consciousness faded the moment the whip rope hit her head. As her already injured neck was struck by the whip again, her vision darkened, and her body swayed sideways before she finally lost consciousness.
“Phew! Finally!” Loraine’s comment made Jamie’s cries even louder. “From now on, you will be locked up here, so you will no longer be able to cooperate with my daughter.”
Jamie tried to raise one of her trembling hands to hug Mei Yin’s neck without applying pressure.
“If you guys plan to betray me again, I won’t be so kind as to let you live. Keep this in mind.”
