A Mate For The Last Lycan-Chapter 284: BAD NEWS
Chapter 284: BAD NEWS
It was only a matter of time before those warriors reached the Great Palace. Lucas was pretty much sure that they would be able to break it eventually. After all, here he was and also there was Gayle.
The shadow and the black mist were only a detraction, it was not completely a prevention for the enemies to come.
Khaos look at Lucas and then glanced at Rian, who was still sleeping on his older brother’s back.
"Don’t get involved in the war, get out from here as soon as possible."
And that was the only thing that Khaos said to Lucas. He didn’t even answer his question and for the first time Lucas watched how the lycan disappeared before his eyes as the shadow engulfed him and then he just vanished into thin air, as if his whole body was being sucked into a black hole.
"What the fuck..."
He was stunned and then stood there for a while, but then he knew what Khaos said was right. He couldn’t stay there for long. It was already impulsive enough for him to come to the Great Palace in the first place.
That was why he immediately left. By this time, Rian was still sleeping. He was scared shitless when they had to face the shadow and enter the black mist.
On the other hand, Khaos met with Gayle and Dezgar. Both of them had been waiting for him.
Meanwhile, Zuri was high out of her mind. She was giggling at the corner of the room, while staring at the fire.
Somehow, the fire little move made her very happy. She talked to someone beside her even though there was no one there. Needless to say, she had another hallucination again and this was not even something weird to see her like this, it almost felt very common right now.
"Khaos, are you sure to do this?"
"Yes," Khaos replied without any hesitation. "This is what she wanted." In a way, he was right. This was what Zuri wanted.
However, Khaos conveniently forgot about one crucial thing, which was the fact that Zuri didn’t want anyone from her previous life to be around her. Yet, he disregarded that.
He had said that he still wanted to be in her life, he wouldn’t let her go. He had given up the whole chance to revive his old dynasty for her, there was no way in hell he was going to let her out of his grasp.
If this was a business, he was going to take all the profit he could get his hand on. And more importantly, something that Zuri didn’t know wouldn’t hurt her.
Khaos then walked across the room. He approached Zuri and kissed her forehead. "Are you ready?"
"Ready for what?" Zuri stopped giggling and then looked at Khaos seriously.
For a moment, they only stared at each other before Zuri burst into a fit of laughter. She looked joyful. She looked happy, but unfortunately, her happiness was only a hallucination too.
"You look so cute when you make that face," Zuri said, she then kissed Khaos and that was it, Khaos kissed her back.
He kissed her deeply as he breathed into her scent.
"I like it when you are kissing me like this," Zuri said againts his lips, she pulled him even closer, as if she didn’t want to be away from him even for a mere second.
"I know..."
"Give me more kiss..."
"I will. I will."

The march finally arrived at the Three Deadly Ways and they saw this black mist that surrounded most of the area. They had known about it from the report they had gathered in the past few months.
The mist was not poisonous, so there was nothing to be worried about. At most, it would obstruct your vision, causing a misstep that would lead you to your demise.
Declan was the one who led them here. He brought ten magic users with him and divided the magic users into four groups, in which group was led by himself, king Eyren, king Logan, and then Rhett. frёewebηovel.cѳm
With the help of the ten magic users, they marched toward the black mist, as if it was nothing, while the magic users guided them and as much as possible dispelled the black mist, so it wouldn’t really be a problem for them to move forward, preventing them from running into the cliff.
The weather was rather cold because it was the beginning of winter and some of them were shivering because of the coldness and the fact that they were getting closer to the lycan.
They couldn’t help it, after all, with the help of Rose before, as she spread rumors about Khaos, in a way, she had helped to instill fear in their bones, not to mention with how Khaos lived up the rumors, exacting it to be true.

Rose was five months pregnant and she already could feel the kicking from the baby. She was very excited to be in this stage of her pregnancy, especially when she knew everything went rather smoothly at the Three Deadly Ways.
When she heard the news that the Join force managed to reach the Great Palace she rewarded her personal servants with a luxurious bracelet for each of them.
"It’s only a matter of time." Rose caressed her bulging stomach. She was beaming and there was no one could ruin her mood.
However, two weeks later, a warrior rushed toward the palace. He looked dirty and frantic, as if he just saw a ghost and Rose immediately knew there was something wrong with the whole situation.
"What is it? What’s going on?" Rose asked. She looked down from her throne to see the warrior was almost fainted. He couldn’t even catch a breath.
Rose was being very impatient right now. She stood up from her throne and all of the people there, lowered their head when the queen walked closer to the messenger.
Rose was furious.
