A Serpent's Tale-Chapter 202: Dinner with the Vestra Family
"And this is my room." Aria announced as she opened the door to her room with gusto. She had been saving her room for last ππ«ππ²ππππ§π πππ₯.πππ
"Nice." I said plainly as apart from the details and format of the room, it wasnβt all that different to everyone elseβs, Kind of empty to be honest.
It had a simple king-sized bed at the back of the middle of the room, a large makeup desk and several other bits of furniture dotted around the room such as sofas and wardrobes.
It also had a small on suite bathroom like everyone elseβs.
"So, what do you think? Pretty good right?" She asked with a hint of pride in her eyes.
"Kind of plain and simple to be honest." I stated bluntly, as I had seen similar such scenes many times already in the form of the rest of her familyβs bedrooms.
She seemed rather downtrodden by my statement by the way her arms and face drooped down as she gave of a quiet "Oh..."
"Look, it just isnβt all that impressive compared to some of the other rooms in this house."
"Ugh... Iβve been saving decorating for when I finally got a man for myself, but it seems like that wonβt be happening anytime soon." Aria said depressed as she sat down on the edge of her bed.
"Why donβt you just decorate it then? Iβm sure that itβll help you decide who you want your mate to be based on how he reacts to your room." I suggested as I sat down next to her, though I sat a bit awkwardly due to my tail.
"Thanks for the advice... I guess Iβm just bummed that I canβt get a boyfriend or a husband for that matter." She said dejectedly as she leaned her arms on her legs and held her head in her hands.
"Well, why are you so desperate to get one in the first place? Itβs not like Youβll never get one, you just have to wait."
"But Iβm tired of waiting... Iβve waited since I was like twelve or something, and Iβm nearly thirty-five for crying out loud. I just want to experience the happiness of being with someone like everyone else. And... I fear that Iβm running out of time. Iβm already past my prime, so, I doubt a younger man would want me, and that leaves only the older men, but most of them are supposedly not for me."
Aria explained her feelings despondently as the mood around her sunk.
"Do you... Have a type that youβre looking for in particular?" I asked, trying to console her in some way by helping her advance however I could.
"I mean, not really? I kinda just want a strong man like... Lisa... I do have a type." She realised, her mood only plummeting further.
"Maybe just look for a good man? Doesnβt have to be strong or anything. Hell, it doesnβt even have to be a man, could be a woman or a futa." I suggested in a somewhat cheering tone.
"Eh... I mean I guess I could... But Iβm not really into feminine features all that much..."
"But... You were attracted to me, werenβt you? And I have some pretty feminine features." I said as I groped my chest.
"Thatβs... True..." She pondered what I said, but before we continue, Kronia called everyone for dinner.
We went down and the whole time, Aria was contemplating my words, what did that mean for her? I donβt know, Iβm not her.
When we arrived at the dining room, there were many more people than I expected, I think around twenty to twenty-five-Ish? Something like that.
Anyways, there we enough seats for all of us, even another, or rather the same chaise for me except, backwards? Flipped around so that the arm was on the other side... Why?
Whatever, I sat down and coincidentally I was sat next to Aria. Beside her was her sister Lisa who was blushing a little as her wife Sheryl teased her. After that was a well build handsome looking man with a well kempt dark brown beard.
There was a child after the man and then his wife Iβm assuming. I couldnβt quite make out who was after that as it was too far away from me, and there was also too many people in the way to see that far from where I was.
Opposite me was an elderly couple, though, not nearly as old as Kronia. A man that seemed to be doing very well for his age with his body being even more built and defined than the guy a few chairs down from me. Next to him was who I assumed to be his wife, who was also well built for a woman her age. She didnβt have nearly as much muscle, but she was clearly still very strong despite how she looked with a defined and tined body.
Before I could get a proper look at the rest of them, Kronia appeared at the head of the table, which caused everyone to go silent as she stood at the head of the table, which just so happened to be to my left.
"Thank you all for coming on such short notice. As you can see, Lyra isnβt here. And thatβs because the guest that Iβve invited over tonight is a very special one, and Iβm sure you could tell who she is when she came in if you havenβt seen her already. If you wouldnβt mind introducing yourself please."
I lifted myself up so that I was basically stood atop my seating, looking down at the table, just so that everyone could get a good look at me.
And then I introduced myself. "My name is Traytora Arizaraa, itβs wonderful to meet you all." Then I sat down, and that was it. Nothing fancy, just a quick and simple greeting.
There were a few helloβs and some people introduced themselves. The man a few chairs down was called Arthur, his wife was Alice and their daughter was called Jessica.
The half elderly couple opposite me was called Alfred and Isabelle. After them was their children, Johnathan and Stacey, who were in a relationship, then their last and oldest child Ethan.
A few others introduced themselves but they didnβt speak all too clearly so I couldnβt quite hear them properly before Kronia raised her hand to silence everyone again.
Then, she snapped her fingers and a bunch of food appeared in front of us alongside some drinks and utensils.
"I hope you all enjoy this meal. I made it from some special ingredients today, so I please, dig in." She announced and then sat down, signalling that everyone could eat.
And so, everyone dug in.
