A Weird Way To Cultivate: Birth Of A Legendary Sage-Chapter 33: Warning from the Elderly
Sitting in the chair with food on the table, which was a vegetable dish with broth, the two of them had already started eating.
Seraphina was still hungry, eating most of the food and rice, while Vladimir didn’t feel hungry at all.
He decided to eat, but only a little, since it wasn’t his habit to eat much when he wasn’t hungry.
Aeloria, who had already forgotten the embarrassment of their activity in her room yesterday, looked at Vladimir and noticed he was eating less than usual.
“Umm, honey. Is the food not to your liking?” she asked, since it was just some vegetables without any meat mixed in.
Hearing his mother’s concern, he gave her a bright smile as he responded.
“Mother, it’s not that the food is bad. I just feel like I’m still full from eating last night,” he said while touching his stomach.
Hearing this, Aeloria sighed in relief. If her children refused to eat, she would have no choice but to buy some meat, which would add more strain to their expenses.
But it was still better than letting her precious children go hungry. They were her two treasures, after all. She could always work harder to balance the expenses, even if the work would be much more exhausting.
“Your mother will be very busy this morning and also this afternoon. Why don’t you go out play some games?” Aeloria suggested as she sipped some warm broth from her spoon.
Vladimir was about to decline, but his thoughts stopped him as a good idea came to mind.
This time, instead of the usual scene where he would say no and insist on helping his mother and only for her to gently force him to go play while he was still young, he decided to agree this time to change that part.
“Sure, Mother. I’ll take Seraphina with me to go and visit Uncle’s place,” Vladimir said.
Hearing his reply, Aeloria thought her ears must have deceived her. But after confirming that he had truly agreed this time and didn’t argue, she had to swallow the words she had prepared to convince him to go.
While it was a good thing, she couldn’t help but feel a little sad. Her son was slowly learning to let go of his mother.
“That’s good,” she said with a bittersweet smile and a very sad look in her eyes.
After finishing their meal, the two left the house. But of course, before leaving, Vladimir did some chores so his mother wouldn’t have to overwork.
Seeing her son take the time to help out before going, even though she had tried to stop him many times, made Aeloria’s heart feel warm.
As she watched the two walk off together from the house, she couldn’t help but smile softly to herself.
With a quiet sigh, she cupped her boobs with one of her hands. She opened her hand flat and slid it just beneath the soft underside of her breast, gently lifting it.
The weight settled into her palm which is somewhat heavy and soft. She let it drop slightly, then lifted again.
up… down… up… down.
It bounces and jiggle then bounces and jiggle again, showing how amazing the feeling would be if you can sleep in those two jiggly melons.
“What reward should I give him for being such a big boy” She muttered in a low tone.
She repeated the motion once more, using both hands this time palms pressed beneath each curve, slowly pushing them upward, then letting them rest again.
“Since he loved sucking her mother’s milk so much, I’ll let him suck again tonight,” she said feeling excited about it since the feeling her son was giving to her was so addicted.
It’s more like her reward rather than his son. Remembering the taste of his semen made her salivate.
Being conscious in how perverted she was at this moment, she slapped herself and decided to just start her work which is washing the clothes.
Back to the two who had already arrived in the village after some time, they watched other kids playing. When they reached a nearby stall, Vladimir stopped as he noticed his little sister staring at a toy.
He could see the sparkle in her eyes as she looked at it. It was a small, fluffy cat with fur that was an uneven patchwork of faded gray and white.
The stitching on its seams was coarse, the thread slightly frayed in places, giving away the craftsmanship typical of a humble village.
Since it’s in a village, so hope that makes sense. The button eyes were securely stitched, shining faintly under the dim light of the stall.
The tail, although slightly lopsided, added to its charm, her fingers hovered over the toy, brushing its soft surface.
“It’s so pretty,” she whispered, her voice barely audible.
“Do you want it?” Vladimir asked, standing beside her.
The stall keeper, that is none other than an elderly woman wearing a frayed apron, smiled gently.
“Oh, if it isn’t you two younglings. That one was crafted by me especially,” the old woman said with a proud smile.
Even though it might not be considered fine by city standards, it was still a piece of good craftsmanship.
Vladimir nodded with a smile as he saw his sister already holding the toy, brushing her fingers over its head with a happy expression.
“How much is this, Grandma?” Vladimir asked.
The elderly woman responded with a kind smile, “That fluffy cat costs about twelve bronze coins.”
Vladimir’s expression turned stunned, and upon hearing the price, Seraphina reluctantly placed the toy back on the counter.
Since she knew they had no money when they left, and their mother couldn’t afford things like toys, barely even clothes so she understood their situation.
Seeing Vladimir’s stunned look, the old woman sighed. If she were given the chance, she truly wanted to help these poor children.
But if she did, there would be nothing left to feed her own family, placing her in a very difficult position.
The price was fair, and there was no scam involved. So she steeled herself, knowing she had her own family to care for too.
This village is not considered well off, as everyone works just to survive. Having a family means more mouths to feed.
That’s also why most families in the village have only one child. Having two is already a challenge.
And having three? That would drain your money fast, especially if you don’t have a stable or well-paying job.
The reason it’s hard for people to find good work is because anything beyond the village borders is dangerous for an ordinary human.
Outside the village is where the beasts reside, since they live in the mountains.
Even a simple job like being a lumberjack can put someone in danger. As for hunters, the risk is even greater.
They have to go deeper into the wilderness, where they might encounter creatures far more terrifying than a Direwolf.
Vladimir, after hearing the price, thought it was actually pretty cheap.
He looked at his system panel to check how much money he had.
…
Money: 220 Silver Solaris| 5 Gold Solaris
…
So with that, he decided to take out one Silver Solaris. He reached into his pocket, and a silver coin appeared.
“Grandma, I want to buy one,” he said.
Seraphina, who had her head lowered, looked up when she saw her big brother buying the toy for her.
“What!” the old woman gasped, especially after seeing the silver coin in his hand.
That is because having one silver coin was already a big deal, which made her even more shocked.
She quickly glanced left and right, then covered the coin with her hand.
“You little guy, don’t show your money so openly. If people see you can take out a silver coin, you’ll be in trouble,” the grandma whispered, reprimanding him in a low voice.
Seeing her serious expression, Vladimir quickly apologized and nodded his head.
“Young child, it’s not that I’m angry at you. I’m just worried,” she said gently.
“If you don’t know, there are bad people who come and go to our village months ago. If some of them see this, your family’s life could be in danger.”
The reason she said this was because, normally, people used bronze coins for buying and paying.
In fact, everyone in the village used bronze coins, so for a poor family to suddenly have a silver coin was very suspicious.
Even though the old woman was curious about where he got the money, she didn’t ask.
Instead, she took the silver coin and gave the proper change, placing it in a small pouch.
“Here is your change, 88 bronze coins. Don’t lose it, and especially, don’t you dare show you have so much money in public,” she warned again.
Vladimir nodded as the two of them left the place. Watching them go, the old woman looked around her surroundings again.
She sighed in relief once more, so glad that no one had been there to witness the scene.
