Chen Shi reached the top of Lingjiao Peak, outside the Great Leiyin Temple, where a Venerable stepped forward, signaling him to stop.

Chen Shi halted; the Venerable was seven meters tall, exuding a strong sense of oppression toward Chen Shi, reaching out to grab the ancient scroll, saying, "Please, Master Ci Yun, take Mr. Chen down to rest."

An aged monk beside him complied and was about to lead Chen Shi down. At that moment, the voice of the Great World Venerable sounded, "Are you called Chen Shi? The top of the Immortal Slaying List in the Earth Immortal Realm, Chen Shi?"

Chen Shi paused, bowing slightly to the Great World Venerable, "It is Chen Shi from the Immortal Slaying List."

The Great World Venerable peered at him, "I've heard you made a mistake, and East King also vouched for you. Houtu Earth God even said you are her adopted son."
