ARC THREE: SAVIOUR OR DESTROYER?
"Quite the good place..." The words echoed beside Ryuk as a humongous figure appeared beside him, both overlooking the vast plains.
"We'll be spending the next week here, Isha..." Ryuk said, as Isha's silvery-blue eyes flashed.
"I'll go for a stretch of my wings. If you need me, just summon me to your side." Isha said, and then—
BOOOOOOOOOOOOM!
The air flapped wildly as Isha soared into the distance, gliding through the air before quickly disappearing from Ryuk's gaze.
But he wasn't too much worried about her.
He could summon her back at any time, and she was an A-grade Beast. There was no need to worry about her.
"Seems like it's just the two of us, then?" Ryuk said with a smile as he looked at his shoulder and found the cute kitten whose tiny claws were currently holding tightly onto him, its black eyes looking bewilderedly at the ground, which seemed so far away.
Ryuk chuckled.
"Not good with heights, huh?"
"I guess you'll have to get used to that soon," he mused as he began stepping downwards on an invisible stair, soon stepping onto the snow.
The cat finally jumped off his shoulders, flinching faintly when it touched the ground.
It then jumped back onto him, but soon after, Ryuk took a seat in the snow.
After endless touching and jerking back, the kitten finally got used to the snow, soon stepping completely in.
A few moments later, it was running around the snow, opening its maw occasionally and blasting out dark balls that sent bursts of snow into the air.
"Really an interesting one. Now, let's see what you can do..."

The system notification flashed to Ryuk, whose eyes flashed in response.
Immediately, Ryuk stretched his hands out as his eyes closed, and he muttered.
"Activate Void Vortex."
In the next instant, the air on Ryuk's palm began undulating, as if it had been set on flames.
The undulation began until the space itself suddenly collapsed onto itself, the air seemingly being sucked in by the collapse.
Something spiraled out—a small, dark, rotating vortex.
Slowly, Ryuk opened his eyes to look at the vortex of energy, and his eyes flashed.
Finally, he could feel a connection to another place through the vortex.
Unconsciously, his second hand moved toward it, but then Ryuk stopped as he turned his gaze to the side, only to find the Void Kitten wobbling on its feet.
It suddenly collapsed into the snow.
Immediately, Ryuk stopped using the Void ability as the Void Kitten fell onto his palms, and his eyes narrowed when he looked at its dimming fur.

"Hmmm..."
[While new Void Veins had been formed inside the host's body, the host has yet to cultivate Void Energy.]

Ryuk mused to himself as he ordered a Void liquid and gently poured the content into the kitten's tiny maw, watching as its dark fur began flaring with dark light once more.
Right now, the creature was still very weak, and its Mana seemed to be very low—lower than a normal E-grade creature, but that made sense to Ryuk based on the beast's birth circumstances.
"It's also too immature to understand what cultivation means, and I don't have any evolutionary cards. The only thing I can do is get a Void Art to increase the Void energy in the Pet Space."
'If it's always in a Void-field energy space, its natural instincts of cultivation will likely awaken. I'll also need to get it Void Dishes with a very high concentration of Void Energy. The Void energy will fill it up and hopefully increase its normal Void energy containment...' Ryuk thought to himself.
After successfully raising Isha, he wasn't clueless about what to do with the Void Kitten.
In the next instant, the Void Kitten disappeared as Ryuk repeated his command to enter the Pet Space.
Entering the Void Cave, he laid it within, as a couple of new objects appeared in his hands."
One was a lamp, which brimmed with dark Void energy, and another was a total of five two-meter-tall crystals of pitch-black color.
The crystals seemed to shimmer as they came into the cave.
The Void energy in the cave seemed to have been increased by thousands of folds, and Ryuk got to work, placing the lantern close to the kitten's sleeping space and burying the crystals up in the roof.
His eyebrows furrowed when he noticed the overwhelming Void energy in the cave going outside the cave's walls. In the next instant, another object appeared—a bizarre dark curtain filled with swirling spheres in his hands, which he hung on the mouth of the cave.
Now, with the overabundant Void energy completely trapped in the room, he watched as bizarre cultivation runes began appearing on the kitten's fur.
"Seems like its natural instinct for cultivation is beginning to awaken..." Ryuk mused with a smile, looking at the runes that began sucking in the overabundant mana into the creature's fur.
He waited as he watched the Void Kitten slowly covered the kitten in a cocoon of dark energy.
"Now, I just need to get a good Void Art."
