Abyss Sequence-Chapter 461 - 36: Speculation
Everyone was stunned by Yan Luo’s words.
Currently, the extraordinary power system of Blue Star relies on Magic Power. Both Engravers and Yan Luo, the only Saint, require Magic Power as a foundation.
Without Magic Power, nothing can be done.
But what did Yan Luo just say?
Develop a superpower system that doesn’t require Magic Power?
Alright, everyone has a Magnetic Field, but everyone knows that the human Magnetic Field is extremely weak. Only Yan Luo, the Saint, can use Magic Power to strengthen his physical capabilities, thereby enhancing the Magnetic Field to a considerable degree.
"Now I have some confusion about the development of this system and need brainstorming and your help."
Yan Luo was not lying; he did have the idea of developing a new extraordinary power system.
This was a thought that occurred to him after hearing from Fuer Hongfeng that interacting with Magic Power could potentially nurture an Evil God, although he previously didn’t have a clear concept.
Now, in order to develop Magnetic Field power, he has put the development of a new extraordinary power system on the agenda.
Since using Magic Power would nurture an Evil God, wouldn’t not using Magic Power solve the problem?
When using Magnetic Field power, Yan Luo could distinctly feel that apart from enhancing himself, purely using Magnetic Field power doesn’t require Magic Power.
If that’s the case, the Blue Star Civilization could completely switch to cultivating Magnetic Field power to prevent the birth of an Evil God.
How to allow ordinary people to access Magnetic Field power and activate it can be left for later. For now, what’s needed is finding methods to train the Magnetic Field power.
Yan Luo introduced the concept of Magnetic Field power to those present and asked for their help in figuring out how to enhance one’s cells without using Magic Power.
After listening to Yan Luo, the Hunters glanced at each other and soon engaged in a lively discussion.
They could treat this as a game; after all, when they gather here, it’s either to exchange information or to brag.
Yan Luo provided them with a topic for bragging, one around which they could unleash their imaginations.
The Hunters were chattering away, and when their ideas clashed, they would even roll up their sleeves and start fighting.
Yan Luo was accustomed to this chaotic scene, found a table to sit at, and quietly pondered amidst the noise.
In the eyes of other Hunters, Yan Luo was already seen as a ’bigshot,’ and whatever he said, they had to find a way to implement.
Thus, this discussion went on for more than three hours until it halted for dinner.
The consensus was that to enhance cells, one must start with Magnetic Field power, but opinions diverged on how to use it.
Some believed that constantly using Magnetic Field power to the extreme would gradually familiarize the cells with this intensity, allowing them to strengthen themselves; others thought that physical exercise would naturally make cells stronger, while some felt that the focus should be on willpower and that Yan Luo could try to guide Magnetic Field power to enhance himself using a method similar to commanding Magic Power.
Which method is effective can only be determined through Yan Luo’s personal trials.
After thanking everyone present, Yan Luo announced he would cover the entire dinner bill for the evening.
There were at least two or three hundred Hunters present, many of whom had big appetites, so the dinner would cost at least hundreds of thousands.
With someone willing to pay, the Hunters were naturally delighted and cheered Yan Luo’s name.
After having dinner with the Hunters, Yan Luo returned to the villa and immediately began testing the methods proposed by the Hunters.
Each method would take several days to try out, so he would be busy for a while.
......
While Yan Luo was experimenting with Magnetic Field power, Sasa, in Alfheim, ran into some trouble.
The convoy encountered a demonized Catastrophe Level creature whose strength and destructive power were formidable. Even if Yulia could handle it, some damage to the roads was unavoidable.
The original road was destroyed by the Catastrophe Level creature, forcing the convoy to detour.
[There seems to be an increase in demonized creatures lately.]
It was Mirel, the father of Julia and Suniya, speaking over the convoy’s communication channel. He was driving a truck, leading the way ahead of the convoy.
As an Intercity Messenger, Mirel hardly gets to spend time at home throughout the year, mostly shuttling between Elf Cities.
Previously, he could only rely on his legs, as no magical creature could endure such high-intensity activities, so Mirel had to run through the Elf Cities in this region on foot.
Having a truck now made his work much more manageable, allowing him to deliver items to several Elf Cities.
Moving the entire population of Mayin City to Blue Star left Mirel with one less place for mail delivery and a supply point, but the demand for mail deliveries remained unchanged.
Many Elves knew that the first stop of Human trade caravans in Alfheim was often Gass City. They would find ways to have the caravans deliver letters to the Elves in Mayin City, and if no caravans were available, they’d entrust the letters to Mirel to take to Gass City so that when caravans returned to Blue Star, they could deliver them en route.
While the communication between Mayin City’s Elves and the other regional Elf Cities wasn’t severed, the frequency of communications had decreased.
Regularly traveling among several Elf Cities, Mirel had a say in this matter. Leaning on the steering wheel with a cigarette dangling from the corner of his mouth, he spoke through the communication channel about his recent observations:
[Although demonized creatures occasionally appeared in this area before, their numbers seem to have increased recently, encountering at least one every day.]
Listening to Mirel’s complaints, Sasa and Yulia exchanged glances.
After sending Mayin City’s Elves to Blue Star, Yulia acted as their ’guarantor’ and discussed matters with the United Government.
The United Government took the opportunity to share some intelligence obtained from the Bota Star people with Yulia to help her maintain order if disturbances arose on Blue Star. 𝓯𝓻𝓮𝙚𝙬𝓮𝙗𝒏𝙤𝒗𝙚𝙡.𝒄𝒐𝓶
Through this, Yulia learned about demons having ’marking’ abilities.
Upon returning to No.2 Crimson, Yulia informed Sasa of this, since matters concerning Alfheim generally involved decisions by Yan Luo and Sasa.
With Yan Luo engaged in the Bright Silver Abyss campaign, it fell upon Sasa to make the decisions.
The Elves once summoned demons and later expelled them.
Since demons possess ’marking’ abilities, could they have already marked Alfheim?
Thinking carefully, the previous parasite incident seemed suspicious, perhaps related to demons?
On this trip to Alfheim, besides ferrying the international students gathered by Yevgenia, Sasa intended to inform the Elf Saints about the demons’ ’marking’ ability.
Based on the demons’ behavior, they seem to be allied with the Evil Gods.
Even if they aren’t allies, they likely share common interests.
The experience of the people on Bota Star shows that demons appear to guide Bota Star’s civilization towards degeneration and corruption, seemingly to facilitate the birth of Evil Gods.
If so, then recent events in Alfheim might be connected to demons.
Fuer Hongfeng mentioned that the Evil God belonging to Alfheim is imminent, and demons targeting Alfheim at this time might be to shift the Elves’ mindsets sharply.
Why hadn’t they acted before?
Perhaps because they also feared the Elf Saints.
[What should we do? Should we tell Mirel the truth?] Sasa used her thoughts to send this message to Yulia.
Yulia answered immediately, without hesitation: [It’s best not to, because knowing these things will only harm Mirel with no benefit. Right now, he’s simply feeling helpless and anxious. If he learns the truth, he might fall into despair, and at that point, his actions could become unpredictable.]
Sasa couldn’t help but sigh.
They knew a lot but had to keep those things bottled up inside, unable to tell anyone.
Sasa looked out the window, contemplating how to persuade Julia to go with them to Blue Star once more.
Julia was her friend, and she didn’t want anything to happen to her.
