Chapter 55: Chapter 53: Death’s Chime

Divine evil descends.

Rose.

Queen of the Dark Elves, Spider Goddess, Sovereign of the Demon Abyss Hell

Alignment: Chaotic Evil

Divine Office: Dark Elves, Spiders, Evil, Darkness

Believers: Dark Elves, High-Intelligence Spiders

Domain: Chaos, Destruction, Evil, Deception

Almost every Dark Elf household worships a shrine to Rose, at the very least, a statue in the image of a spider or Rose elf. The Rose Temple is typically designed to resemble a reclined spider. They are used for meetings, sacrifices, and also serve as entertainment venues for High-tier Dark Elves.

The Dark Elves inherit the domain of chaos; to these beings, they disdain conservatism and chastity, believing that living in the moment allows them to get closer to their goddess.

In a sense, Rose is the spiritual pillar of the Dark Elves; it’s precisely because they have such a towering presence behind them, that they dare to roam unrestrained in the Abyss.

Devotion.

Dark Elves kneel on one knee, right hand clenched in a fist and placed on their chest, chanting prayers aloud.

Rose’s figure begins to coalesce, ferocious body and lovely face, Rose’s figure appears above the "Breeding Room."

This is merely a shadow of Rose.

Her figure takes on a hazy form, like smoke condensed, giving one an extreme sense of unreality.

Rose is the conspirator in the Abyss, many evil gods have died at her hands; most frighteningly, you’re never sure why she kills.

Chaos.

She is inherently chaotic, detests all peace and friendliness, adept at instigating wars, engineering countless bloody battles; the Abyss has its share of such madmen, but only a few become known and survive.

Chen Feng suddenly felt someone’s attention on him.

He lifted his head, instantly shocked, only to see the descending shadow staring at him with a playful gaze, somewhat curious, but mostly scrutinizing.

An evil god’s gaze.

Rose sensed something.

Her devout follower bore someone else’s imprint.

A human?

Strength barely surpasses a skeleton.

Rose’s shadow is merely curious, nothing more; her followers are as numerous as stars, the little elf before her just a drop in the ocean.

She does not care about the relationship between Dark Elves and Chen Feng, worry? It’s entirely pointless.

The Dark Elves’ strength has yet to reach a level worth her attention.

Rose’s gaze quickly shifted away from Chen Feng, and the pressure on him immediately returned to normal.

Chen Feng seemed somewhat silent.

The Abyss possesses the power of rules; a powerhouse like Rose cannot break dimensions, but these monsters, who’ve lived in the Abyss for untold years, all possess bizarre methods.

You may choose not to worship it, but don’t anger them either.

Being noticed by an evil god is deeply troublesome, so until his strength is sufficiently accumulated, Chen Feng does not intend to become enemies with any evil god residing in the Abyss.

In the Breeding Room, as death came, the Insect Demon larvae within began to agitate.

The woman’s corpse abruptly split open; then, a pitch-black, thick worm slid out, lacking facial features, possessing only a spiral-like mouth.

More and more worms attempted to escape the corpse; for a moment, the body seemed like a deflated balloon, suddenly collapsing, and those worms fell like raindrops.

Yet...

Rose’s significance is undeniable; though just a shadow, she’s not something mere ants can defile. Her eyes flashed, a formidable force emerged, preventing those worms from reaching the ground, suspending them a centimeter away.

Thud.

On the worms’ bodies...

A bloody streak abruptly appeared, as if sliced by a razor; each worm’s body simultaneously ruptured.

"Hiss! Hiss! Hiss! Hiss!"

Bright red blood spurted from their bodies, floating into spectral, vibrant blood flowers.

The blood sacrifice begins!

Rose accepted the Dark Elves’ delight, naturally, a powerful force also descended upon the Dark Elves!

The Insect Demon larva’s body suddenly split, the blood plasma spurting in the air seemingly found new hosts, beginning to slowly coalesce.

The viscous blood plasma enveloped the Dark Elf in the center, suddenly, her pupils turned blood-red, the surrounding blood surged like waves; her scream pierced the sky, even the dark moon was tinged with a flush.

In that moment, her power emerged.

Her appearance also instantly changed.

Clear bright pupils, long eyelashes slightly trembling, ebony skin exuding full elasticity, lips rosy as a tender dripping rose, long legs as if in a dream.

Only, her brow contained a hint of blood redness.

Making her resemble a siren, pure and enchanting seamlessly merged.

At this moment, her power began to climb, on her body, a chilling radiance arose, Silver!

Following the Inferior Demon, the Dark Elf finally completed her transformation, achieving Silver Level strength!

What’s going on...

The Insect Demon remained eerily tranquil.

In just a moment, the Insect Demon’s consciousness was completely frozen; before Rose, it lacked even the courage to wail, helplessly watching its painstakingly cultivated larvae being slaughtered one by one, utterly powerless to retaliate.

"Kill it!"

Seeing the Dark Elf’s successful ascent, Chen Feng tightly clenched his fists; he wanted to test her strength, and the Insect Demon, unfortunately, became the experiment’s target.

The Insect Demon grew increasingly cold, feeling as if plunged into an icy cave, frozen through and through.

It lifted its head; before it was a face beyond description, it smelled a hint of blood, and a raised longbow.

Simultaneously, the Inferior Demon released its arms, tossing it directly away.

"Boom!"

Suddenly. An icy stream of light mercilessly shot forth, as if piercing the void, faster than lightning!

Like a comet smashing the Earth, rippling vibrations spread, shattering into a powdery mist dropped in anger.

"Thud!"

Then came a heavy, tooth-grinding thud!

Yet, the previously arrogant Insect Demon unexpectedly suffered a powerful, frenzied impact, scraping a five-meter long, one-inch deep mark into the ground with its soles, as though hit by a siege vehicle; the Insect Demon spurted dark blood, the bones in its chest echoing with crisp "crackles!"

The Dark Elf fired an arrow that exploded the Insect Demon’s chest, the large intestines shot out of the body, quite shocking, as they had already turned to mushy pulp.

Energy shot!

Compared to the previous raw power, the now Dark Elf grasped some new abilities, her arrows imbued with extraordinary energy, exploding upon contact with enemies.

If a regular person suffered such an arrow, they’d instantly become a mist of blood.

The Insect Demon’s body almost shook uncontrollably; never before had its nerves tightened to such a degree, as if inhaling vast amounts of poison with every breath, unbearably uncomfortable, under the death threat, it scrambled to stand, disregarding the black blood dripping from its mouth, attempting to flee from this place of turmoil.

It could no longer care about anything else.

The survival instinct within urged it to escape as fast as possible.

"Boom!"

The second arrow.

The Insect Demon’s body maintained its running posture, but its head directly burst, brain matter and blood scattered onto the ground...
