Abyss Summoner-Chapter 71 - 69: Kill Until They Submit!
It’s late at night.
A candle was lit in the air raid shelter. Some people went to sleep early, some were tidying up, and others were curled up on the ground, occasionally letting out suppressed sobbing sounds.
They missed their families.
Most of these people were students studying away from home. After the disaster broke out, communication was lost, and they couldn’t contact their distant parents and relatives. Those monsters were terrifying, and the chances of their parents surviving were slim. Even if they were alive, how could they reunite now with transportation paralyzed, and the distance spanning thousands of miles making a reunion impossible!
Some people were wallowing in self-pity, trapped in the corners of their minds, unable to emerge, living in a daze every day like the walking dead.
Yet, some understood the importance of strength. These were mostly athletes who initiated group training. Although it was almost ten o’clock now, they were still doing exercises like push-ups in the available space. The effect might not be significant, but the effort was commendable.
Ten people per group.
Forty-seven people were divided into five groups, each with a leader responsible for daily chores and combat tasks.
After experiencing the ghouls, these people somewhat adapted to the surrounding environment, resulting in their faces showing less timidity and more bravery.
This is the halo of confidence given by the strong.
As the saying goes, a single courageous soldier leads a courageous platoon.
If ordinary people managed this place, forget about destroying the ghoul camp, even killing one of those creatures would come at a huge price. But it’s not like now; killing comes as easy as raising a fist, with the Mourners easily ending countless ghouls, leading to their demise.
Riding on others’ power.
These people gained immense confidence because of Chen Feng, believing there was nothing he couldn’t solve.
I ignored the crowd’s thoughts and called Wei Xun to the corner, discussing my plans!
"What? We’re going to find Wang Yong early tomorrow morning, sir, isn’t this a bit rushed? You must know he has considerable strength and has two professionals under him..." Wei Xun had somewhat learned about the professionals during his time with Chen Feng.
Chen Feng looked at him calmly.
Wei Xun took a deep breath, gritted his teeth, and shared all the information he knew: "Sir, before the rat came trying to persuade me to switch sides, he mentioned that among them, he was the weakest. Wang Yong could control two exceptionally resilient cockroaches, reportedly the size of millstones, not only with hard insect armor but also with extremely sharp mouths. Wang Yong often feeds wrongdoers to these insects, which can cleave the opponent’s body in two with a single bite."
"Furthermore, under him, there’s someone who can manipulate electricity and control the growth of nails. The former can easily electrocute someone, while the latter can harden their nails to the point of even shattering stones with a press!"
Wei Xun spoke without reservation, laying everything out, knowing they were now in a relationship where they shared the same fate.
"Cockroaches? These insects are extremely resilient but come in countless species. Millstone-sized with sharp teeth, are they Langlin Cockroaches? Spotted Cloud Cockroaches? Or Corpse Rotting Cockroaches..."
Even if they are the same species, they can have different evolutionary paths. So, before meeting Wang Yong, it was hard to determine what he had.
"However..."
"Even if they have three professionals, so what?" Chen Feng sighed, his eyes suddenly sharp, like a tsunami descending, exuding an aura that made people fear to resist.
"Sir..."
Wei Xun wanted to elaborate on the opponent’s situation.
Chen Feng waved his hand, his face emotionless: "A bunch of ants-like guys, if anyone dares to resist, they have lost their reason to exist and can be crushed easily."
Wei Xun’s neck shrank, also aware that he wasn’t joking. It was because Chen Feng truly had that capability. Wang Yong, no matter how strong, was merely advertised by the untrustworthy tongue of the rat. But Chen Feng was different, a living fear, having himself witnessed Chen Feng’s combat style.
He simply formed a hand seal and summoned numerous terrifying assistants, each formidable on its own!
Wang Yong strong?
Stronger than the ferocious Mourner? Stronger than the arrow-firing Dark Elf, or that... heretical being with a human face and clay body? 𝘧𝓇ℯℯ𝑤ℯ𝘣𝓃ℴ𝓋𝑒𝑙.𝑐𝘰𝑚
Wang Yong’s strength was merely hearsay, but Chen Feng’s means were seen with his own eyes. The ghouls were strong, and he barely escaped with Yuan Wen, suffering eleven casualties, but against Chen Feng, they were like chickens and ducks, with no chance to fight back, reduced to mere flesh and blood.
This is a true strongman.
Wang Yong merely controlled some bugs, how does that compare to his master?
Thinking of this, Wei Xun took a deep breath, unreluctant to kill his best friend in order to survive. Such a person was inherently rebellious, merciless and unfeeling, willing to tear off chunks of flesh even in death.
Facing Chen Feng, he was as humble as a house dog, eager to lick Chen Feng’s shoes, but to others, he was a ferocious wolf, holding on until the opponent was dead.
Wei Xun’s eyes were dark, laced with a bit of cold light. With Chen Feng as backing, he was utterly brazen: "Sir is right, if anyone dares to resist, kill them all! No! Wang Yong’s camp still has many of his old supporters, if one disobeys, kill two, if two, kill four, let’s see who dares object!"
Carried away by his own fervor.
Wei Xun’s entire body suddenly turned red, with some jagged scales spreading over him, a lizard tail emerging at the back, striking the wall with heavy thuds.
Wei Xun’s bloodlust was heavy, both a flaw and a strength.
A double-edged sword.
The downside was, such people had little principle, never leaving a way out in actions, but the upside was, ruthless and decisive, just needing some training to be a useful talent.
Chen Feng didn’t care about Wei Xun’s ruthlessness, for he had the strength, no matter how venomous, Wei Xun couldn’t escape his palm.
Wei Xun wasn’t wrong in one aspect.
Kill until they comply!
Chen Feng’s eyes were deep, his mind already wandering to tomorrow’s battlefield, those who submit will thrive, those who resist perish. All unstable elements should be destroyed, what professionals? Resistors? Trusted followers?
Those who are sensible will surrender obediently, otherwise, become fodder for Inferior Demons, turning into fertilizer for their evolution...
