"I’m sorry if I may have hurt you madam Sofie, but I’m here for one mission and that’s protecting my mistress not date you." Osvaldo said calmly, trying not to hurt her feelings.

He had played along with her, trying to act all nice, but Sofie has taken things too far. He wished he was at home now to give her one of his many drugs to erase her brain forever. Maybe make her forget her feelings for him.

Sofie felt hurt by his words. No man has ever treated her like this man. And the more he pushed her away, the more she wanted him.

"He’s right Sofie, what would your father say if he heard of this? His princess falling in love with a bodyguard." Darlington stepped in.

He knew her obsessing over the bodyguard was absurd. It’s a good thing the young man didn’t play along either.

"So what, Penny gets to marry a madman. Why wouldn’t they let me do whatever I want." Sofie rose from her seat and stared at Osvaldo.

"This is not over." She said and walked away.

Maybe she was doing something wrong. Maybe she needs to seduce him harder. No man can ever resist a woman, he wouldn’t be different from the others.

During noon, Osvaldo escorted Penny and Hughes who was far from being comfortable to the hospital. It’s pretty much the first time he’s been to one in so many years.

"Are you sure you want to see everything you’re doing?" Hughes whispered next to her mistress and Penny nodded.

"There’s no harm in this Hughes. Plus Osvaldo is the father of my children." Penny said calmly.

"A man who tried to kill his children is no father. I would be careful of him if I were you miss Penny." Hughes whispered just for Penny to hear. She couldn’t just forget everything that happened and act like her master hadn’t tried to hurt them all of it wasn’t for the intervention of Xavier Bloodsworth.

Hughes had no idea why no matter how hard she tried she couldn’t just trust osvaldo. She’s seen his cruelty first hand and didn’t want him to hurt the Adkins heirs anymore.

The doctor appeared moments later, smiling warmly when she saw Penny.

"Welcome back, Dr. Penelope," she said kindly.

Penny returned the smile.

"Thank you."

The doctor glanced the man beside Penny, the man in mask. "You’re here with your husband today?" She asked and Penny looked up at Osvaldo.

"No, he’s my bodyguard."

"Oh. I’m so sorry ma’am."

"No it’s alright." Penny smiled.

The doctor then stared at the file in her hands, then at Penny’s abdomen.

"Are we here for the ultrasound?"

"Yes," Penny replied. "I want to make sure the babies are fine."

Osvaldo’s jaw tightened at the word babies.

Inside the dimly lit room, Penny lay back as the cool gel touched her skin. The machine hummed softly.

The screen flickered.

Then, there was movement. The doctor smiled. "They’re growing so much." She said.

"And they’re doing well." She added. "Strong heartbeats. Very strong."

Penny let out a breath she hadn’t realized she was holding, tears immediately filling her eyes. The same thing could be said about Hughes, both women were crying and Osvaldo wondered what was happening.

Was this something to cry about?

The nurse they were doing good and had strong heartbeats. Wasn’t that a good thing? Or did his Penguin was him to kill them?

"Both of them?" Penny whispered with tears already spilling out.

"Yes," the doctor confirmed gently. "Both babies are perfectly fine."

Osvaldo stepped closer despite himself, eyes fixed on the screen. Two tiny flickers. These two tiny things were his seeds and they were growing in his Penguin.

These two stubborn demons that refused to leave when he asked them to. His mad seeds.

He didn’t know how to tell Penny they wouldn’t be normal if they came out. His father had done something to their blood lineage, something that couldn’t be altered. She had seen how she turned the moment she fucked him.

How she can no longer control her desires.

Hughes held Penny’s hands as her boss walked over to the monitor and Penny stared at Osvaldo with a smile. She could see the confusion in his eyes and her plans were working perfectly.

Since he wanted her children gone, he’d be here to see every process of their growth. She hoped his mind has changed on seeing them.

She wanted to show him it wasn’t as bad as he thought.

After the ultra sound, all three people stepped back into the car as the chauffeur drove away.

"You didn’t even cry Osvaldo." Penny suddenly said with a frown. Her pregnancy hormones acting up again. Getting mad at the smallest things and even crying for nothing.

"Was I supposed to?" Osvaldo asked innocently and that earned him a slap on his thigh.

"Yes." Penny said. "They’re our children, you we’re supposed to cry and feel happy about their growth." Penny started crying and Osvaldo’s eyes turned wide.

He was getting scolded because he didn’t cry? But how’s he supposed to cry?

"I hate you." Penny muttered and his heart sank. The last thing he wanted was for his Penguin to hate him.

"I’m sorry Penguin." Osvaldo said softly pulling her close to a hug, but Penny slapped his hands off.

"You’re a bodyguard, know you place." Penny said and then turned to Hughes.

"Hughes." She called and Hughes hugged her.

"It’s alright miss Penny." Hughes patted her shoulder.
