Accidentally Reincarnated in Cultivation World-Chapter 256: Happy Birthday Yu Lingluo [1]
The Next Morning after the Golden Sky Phenomenon
Dawn had barely brushed the horizon when Yu Xuan stirred awake.
His mind felt slightly groggy — the aftereffect of digesting Old Yu’s memories and experiences from the night before.
He exhaled slowly, adjusting his breathing. When he checked his cultivation base, a small smile formed on his lips.
He hadn’t broken through yet. 𝒻𝑟𝘦𝘦𝘸ℯ𝒷𝑛𝘰𝓋ℯ𝘭.𝘤𝘰𝘮
That might have frustrated most cultivators, but for Yu Xuan, it was a relief.
According to Old Yu’s calculations, his foundation should have advanced a stage overnight. Yet, for some reason, it hadn’t.
Perhaps it was fate... or his body’s refusal to let his realm rise.
Satisfied, he gave a mental command:
’Status.’
A golden-black interface flickered before his eyes, then glitched.
[ The system is undergoing maintenance. Until completion, all functions will be temporarily unavailable. ]
Yu Xuan stared at the glowing message.
"It didn’t even specify how long it’ll be down," he muttered, rubbing his temple.
"A system that cultivates itself... really impressive."
Shaking his head, he circulated Qi through his body, refreshing himself and clearing the lingering drowsiness. The dark black and white hue in his pupils dimmed slightly as they now appeared normal black, he then stepped outside.
The morning air of the Chaos Heaven Peak was refreshing.
Quietly, Yu Xuan made his way toward Lingluo’s cottage and, being himself, he activated [Immortal’s Gaze] to peek through the walls.
Not because of any "evil" intentions, of course.
Inside, he found Lingluo sleeping soundly — not a hint of snoring, which was suspicious in itself, while Ming Tianmei sat cross-legged in meditation.
Her aura was steady, soft waves of spiritual energy flowing around her like petals.
Just as his gaze lingered for a moment too long, her eyes snapped open and turned toward him.
Yu Xuan didn’t even flinch.
She had told him before that anyone who looked at her with intent would trigger her Perception Spell, a spell meant to detect "wanted and unwanted gazes."
Yu Xuan privately called it the Professional Stalker-Detector Array.
He even asked her, if she could make a talisman for that spell, because he wanted a PTSD (Professional Talisman for Stalker Detection) himself, but currently it was impossible.
Ming Tianmei emerged from the cottage, a faint knowing smile curving her lips.
"Did you too come at this time, because of that?" Yu Xuan asked, his tone cryptic.
"You too?" She tilted her head.
"Me too."
A moment of silent understanding passed between them.
Without another word, they both descended the mountain path, walking side by side toward the town market.
Ming Tianmei didn’t comment on how Yu Xuan seemed slightly taller, his shoulders broader, his aura denser — as though he’d aged nearly three months, twenty days, twelve hours, overnight.
She noticed, of course, but chose silence.
After wandering through the streets for nearly an hour, the two returned carrying a small feast — sweet buns, flaky pastries, and delicate spirit cakes infused with tri-colored spirit cherries that shimmered red, blue, and yellow.
Even in a world of cultivation and bloodshed, sweets found their place.
Back at Lingluo’s cottage, Yu Xuan took out a small temporal clock carved with runes that aligned to the Eternal Star Heavenly World’s time flow.
He had specifically requested leave from his master for this moment.
It wasn’t just another morning — it was his sister’s birthday, calculated according to the time of their home world.
Even though their time in the sect had been short, Yu Xuan realized he missed her more than he expected — her annoying voice, her relentless nagging that had once driven him mad back on his world.
A faint smile touched his lips as he and Ming Tianmei quietly approached the cottage door, holding the small bundle of sweets.
And just as they were about to sneak inside—
A wild shorty appeared before them.

Yu Lingluo’s Dream
Yu Lingluo was having a dream — a very nice one.
She was no longer a small time cultivator.
In her dream, she had become a colossal being, her body stretching across the void of space, stars swirling around her like glittering fireflies.
Her hair floated like a nebula, her every breath birthed comets, and with every blink, galaxies trembled.
She was free.
Swimming lazily through the cosmos, she hummed a tune that made the constellations shimmer brighter.
On her wandering path, she came across a small sized planet — blue, green, and dotted with white clouds. It’s name was Blue Star.
It looked... delicious.
Leaning closer, she sniffed it.
"Mmm, smells good," she muttered, voice echoing across the heavens.
Then, with the curiosity of a true glutton, she opened her mouth and took a big bite.
Crunch.
The little planet cracked like a biscuit. Lingluo chewed slowly, savoring it.
’It’s tasty,’ she thought with satisfaction, though she frowned a moment later and spat out a burnt, blackened chunk.
"Bleh. Bitter part."
Even in dreams, she had standards.
Then suddenly, a shadow fell over her.
From the endless void emerged a gigantic creature — an octopus-like being, its countless tentacles coiling through galaxies, each suction cup glowing with red light.
Its eyes blazed like dying suns as it stared directly at her.
It looked... angry.
Apparently, she had just eaten its lunch.
Lingluo blinked. The octopus glared.
For a heartbeat, silence reigned.
Then—
Boom!
They collided.
Planets shattered like sand. Stars exploded one after another.
Space itself twisted and cracked as the two titans battled, exchanging blows.
Every punch from Lingluo was like a meteor strike. Every lash from the octopus’s tentacles split planets in half.
They were evenly matched.
And then—
A strange vibration rippled through the void, followed by a deep sound.
"Prukkk."
Lingluo turned her head.
From the shadows of space emerged another being — enormous, majestic, and purple.
A slime, with gold crown on it’s top, draped in a red cape that fluttered dramatically in the vacuum of space.
It was none other than the Heaven Devouring Slime King: Tririri.
"Prukkk," the slime declared again, its gelatinous body rippling proudly.
Lingluo and Tririri locked eyes, and an unspoken understanding passed between them.
They both looked at the octopus.
Then at each other.
And smiled.
The octopus, realizing what was about to happen, screamed in sheer terror and bolted.
Its countless tentacles grabbed chunks of space itself, using them as springs to launch its enormous body away.
But it didn’t get far.
Two overwhelming auras closed in on it.
The chase tore through galaxies, shattered wormholes, and sent meteors flying like dust.
After what felt like eternity, Lingluo and Tririri cornered the octopus.
It flailed, begging for mercy in a series of desperate "blub-blub-blub" noises, but the duo showed none.
"Time to eat multi-pus," Lingluo said, cracking her knuckles.
"Prukkk," agreed the slime, menacingly.
Grabbing their prey with countless limbs, they dragged it along through the star fields, searching for something.
After a moment, Lingluo pointed at a nearby swirling vortex — a black hole that pulsed with light at it’s event horizon.
"There!" she said, her eyes gleaming.
"Perfect campfire!"
And together, with cheerful laughter, those two carried the screaming octopus toward the glowing black hole, ready to roast it under the light of collapsing space-time.
