Accidentally Reincarnated in Cultivation World-Chapter 309: Fairy Luo Arrested
So Yu Xuan was currently residing in the Lower Realms of the Eighth Heaven.
And that fact alone was only the beginning.
His master had also explained something far more than he knew to him.
The mini sect they were currently in was not random.
It was the branch assigned specifically to the Eighth Heaven.
Likewise, there existed other mini sects, each assigned to the Lower Realms of the other Heavens.
In truth, the place Yu Xuan stood in was merely one of nine mini sects of the Heaven Immortal Sect that had descended into the Lower Realms.
A fragment of a far greater whole.
Just as Elder avatars and clones existed here, those same Elders also had presences avatars, sealed bodies, or projections – stationed within the other mini sect branches.
Some resided physically, their cultivation sealed.
Others watched from afar.
And all disciples within a given mini sect belonged to the same Heaven.
Meaning.
Every disciple Yu Xuan saw here had either been born in, or raised within the Eighth Heaven or its connected Lower Realms.
This was not a melting pot.
This was a partitioned system.
And currently.
Only the First Heaven, Fifth Heaven, Eighth Heaven, and Ninth Heaven mini sects were experiencing the Gate Phenomenon.
"Until the inspection is complete," Yu Xuan said calmly, shaking his head as he returned to the present.
"No one is permitted to leave the premises."
Number Two and Number Three immediately moved, positioning themselves at the exits.
Their presence alone made several disciples stiffen.
Fairy Luo’s brows furrowed.
So did the announcer’s.
This was not how things were supposed to go.
The announcer had assumed that after a bit of chaos, the matter would quietly die down.
Instead.
It was escalating.
Then Yu Xuan or rather, Mo Lin stepped forward with a solemn expression.
And began to speak.
"Everyone," he said clearly, "the Discipline Committee had recently decided to conduct covert inspections."
"These inspections were in response to numerous complaints regarding unfair practices, shops exploiting new disciples, inflated prices, and abuse of status."
His gaze swept the hall.
"And frankly," he continued, "I am dissatisfied with how the Twin Fairy Pavilion has handled its guests."
A murmur spread. 𝙧𝙚𝙚𝔀𝒆𝓫𝓷𝙤𝓿𝒆𝙡.𝒄𝙤𝓶
"If grievances arise among cultivators," Yu Xuan said evenly, "we often rely on strength to settle them."
"But what of those who have just joined the sect? What of those who lack the strength to resist?"
His gaze settled on Fairy Luo.
"To use a performance, a public event to deliberately unleash an attack capable of seriously crippling a sect disciple..."
His voice hardened.
"...is unforgivable."
No one interrupted.
Even those who felt the reasoning stretched the truth kept their mouths shut.
"Therefore," Yu Xuan continued, "the Discipline Committee is working to establish a positive image for the sect."
"We the people of the Eighth Heaven are not a people who abuse power without restraint."
A pause.
"So until all circumstances are clarified and until the matter of publicly attacking a disciple is resolved, Fairy Luo will be placed under custody."
CLICK.
A suppression cuff snapped shut around Fairy Luo’s wrist.
Her Qi vanished instantly.
The hall went deathly silent.
Authority had been asserted.
And Yu Xuan now stood firmly on the side that enforced it.
"Uh... I don’t mean to interrupt," a Tier Five cultivator with dark blue skin and faintly glowing green eyes spoke up, his tone cautious.
"But I have never heard of such operations being conducted by the Discipline Committee."
Several gazes shifted toward Yu Xuan.
Yu Xuan turned to look at the man, his expression calm and unreadable.
"Of course you haven’t," he replied evenly.
"As I said, these measures are new. Consider this the first official case where a direct crackdown is being carried out."
His voice carried faint Qi, neither oppressive nor weak, just firm enough to leave no room for casual rebuttal.
The Tier Five cultivator frowned inwardly.
Something was definitely wrong.
He possessed a technique that allowed him to sense lies and distortions in speech yet against Yu Xuan, it returned nothing.
Not truth.
Not falsehood.
Just... blank.
He had no way of knowing that Yu Xuan’s Spiritual Eye, already awakened and refined, naturally disrupted such methods.
"I believe," Yu Xuan added casually, "that our presence here is making certain people rather uncomfortable."
His gaze drifted not accusingly, merely observantly, toward the white-haired man who had earlier been beaten.
The man was sweating.
Visibly.
His hands trembled, breath uneven.
Yu Xuan’s eyelid twitched.
’Don’t tell me... this is actually real?’
He resisted the urge to facepalm.
"Well," Yu Xuan said aloud, clapping his hands lightly, "there’s no need to prolong this."
"We will not be interrogating Fairy Luo here and since matters have already escalated," he continued, "I suggest everyone make good use of their free time."
He turned, already moving toward the exit.
Fairy Luo clenched her teeth but followed.
One by one, Number One through Number Four slipped back into Yu Xuan’s shadow, their presence vanishing as if they had never been there.
Then, deliberately.
Yu Xuan retrieved a glide disc from his storage ring.
He stepped onto it with ease.
Fairy Luo floated behind him, restrained yet forced to trail in full view.
Her eyes burned.
This wasn’t escort.
This was humiliation.
The surrounding disciples stared blankly.
Only now did a new concern surface among the crowd.
"...Wait," someone muttered.
"If the performance is cancelled—"
"Are we getting our sect points back?"
The hall erupted in murmurs.
Yu Xuan paused.
"Oh," he said, as if suddenly remembering something important.
He reappeared instantly near the stage, taking the Punishment Insignia back from the announcer.
"I really forgot this, didn’t I?"
Then without another word, he vanished again.
The announcer stood frozen, fingers clenched.
Inside her mind, curses flowed endlessly.
Why haven’t the higher-ups arrived yet?!
With a Punishment Insignia involved, the situation had already spiraled beyond her control.
And worse now—
Fairy Luo was gone.
She took a deep breath, forced a smile, and turned to the audience.
"Ahem... as you can see, due to unforeseen circumstances, today’s performance cannot proceed. We sincerely ask for your understanding and—"
"Understanding my ass," someone shouted and laughter erupted.
"Who’s paying back my sect points?!"
The announcer’s smile twitched.
Very badly.
Tonight, the Twin Fairy Pavilion had lost far more than reputation.
