Accidentally Reincarnated in Cultivation World-Chapter 336: Tyrannical Mind Sword, A Will Without Restraint
Thousands of black lightning arrows descended like a rain of annihilation.
The sky itself seemed to rupture as each bolt screamed downward, tearing through clouds.
Amid that storm, a Black Lightning Dragon materialised into existence.
Yu Xuan drifted downward along its spine, his expression cold.
Below, the demons paled.
Most of them didn’t even try to hide their unease.
"Sh–shit... How can he control Heavenly Punishment Lightning!"
Their layered barriers were shredded one after another.
Defensive formations that would have withstood siege-level attacks crumpled like paper under rain.
Wan Shou, standing at the center, did not scream.
He did not panic.
He only thought calmly.
’This body will die.’
The realization was absolute.
This was one of the most destructive type of lightning.
Against such power, cultivation advantage meant nothing great.
Only a handful could survive Heavenly Punishment lightning within their realm, and fortunately some of them were here.
Still, Wan Shou’s eyes narrowed.
If he was making this loss, he would make sure to pay back thousand times in the future.
But he would make this human suffer first.
CRACK! CRACK! CRACK!
The massive defensive wall fractured as the dragon descended, its roar shaking the surroundings.
"EVERYONE!" Wan Shou roared.
His voice carried authority backed by blood and command.
’This fellow possessed terrifying Qi reserves,’ Wan Shou thought as his mind raced with calculation.
If he gathered all their strength, if he sacrificed this body properly then at the very least, Yu Xuan would be gravely injured.
That was enough for now.
And because of that, hesitation meant extinction.
"I will take the dragon head-on!" Wan Shou shouted.
"All of you, pour your Qi into this body through the net!"
Instantly, the demons obeyed.
Streams of demonic Qi surged toward Wan Shou, converging like rivers into a single sea.
His aura skyrocketed violently, flesh cracking under the strain.
His gaze flicked briefly toward a particular figure.
A girl barely five feet tall, her body traced with glowing energy lines that pulsed like living circuits.
’She would be more suitable...’
But Wan Shou dismissed the thought.
He had no intention of provoking Sha Qi, the Energy Devil, over something like this.
Instead, he sent her a brief divine sense message.
Then.
ROARRR!!!
The Black Lightning Dragon descended.
Its roar carried the wrath of Heaven itself, the embodiment of punishment made manifest.
From below, Wan Shou leapt skyward.
Behind him, a colossal demonic hand manifested – black-red and runed.
It expanded rapidly, blotting out the ground as it reached upward.
And then.
The great demonic hand collided with the Black Lightning Dragon.
The impact tore open the sky.
For a heartbeat, everything froze.
Then, everyone saw it.
The Black Lightning Dragon, though its scales bore faint cracks, opened its jaws and devoured the demonic hand whole.
Not crushed. Not dispersed.
Devoured.
The dragon let out a low thunderous growl and then dissolved into sparks of black lightning, dispersing back into the heavens as if its task were complete.
Silence followed.
Wan Shou’s body trembled. 𝐟𝕣𝗲𝕖𝕨𝗲𝐛𝗻𝗼𝐯𝗲𝚕.𝗰𝚘𝐦
Cracks spread across his skin like shattered porcelain, demonic Qi leaking out uncontrollably.
His borrowed flesh could no longer sustain itself.
Yu Xuan stood before him, unscathed.
Not a single burn.
Not a single wound.
Wan Shou stared at him, disbelief finally surfacing through his calm facade.
"...So," he said hoarsely, "you are the one we were meant to capture."
Yu Xuan tilted his head slightly, eyes still black and white, expression indifferent.
’Just how vast are his Qi reserves...’ Wan Shou thought seriously.
"What a futile attempt," Yu Xuan muttered.
"And today I’m already in a bad mood."
He wanted to crush him now but then Yu Xuan paused.
Wan Shou’s voice echoed in his mind.
"Let’s meet again, consider this a welcome gift."
Wan Shou laughed thin and broken.
Then his body began to expand and shine.
Yu Xuan had a comical look as he waved his hand as Wan Shou’s body disappeared.
High above, the air collapsed inward.
A tremendous shockwave detonated outward, the ground below quaking violently as space itself rippled like disturbed water.
’Really self-destruction was that necessary?’ Yu Xuan thought.
Even knowing this is only a parasite body... that’s still extreme.
Below, the remaining demons staggered back, faces pale.
Wan Shou had intended to take Yu Xuan with him by absorbing their Qi.
He had failed.
But they were not finished.
"Form the net!" a sharp voice shouted.
The girl with glowing energy lines stepped forward, eyes blazing.
Sha Jiao, second in command, and Sha Qi’s sister.
At her command, the demons moved in perfect coordination.
From every direction.
Blades of Qi.
Blood curses.
Shadow spears.
Soul-binding chains.
Great bony hands.
Even giant fireballs.
An entire arsenal of demonic techniques, layered and synchronized converged on Yu Xuan at once.
The sky darkened again.
And Yu Xuan slowly raised his head, eyes glinting with cold amusement.
"So," he said softly, "you still want to play?"
Darkness crept along his arm, coiling around his fingers like living ink.
Then he paused.
"...On second thought," Yu Xuan muttered to himself, "I shouldn’t do this."
The darkness retreated, dissolving into nothingness.
He needed to maintain efficiency.
In the next instant, a sword materialized in his hand.
A Heaven-Grade sword, its presence alone heavy with authority, the sword his father had given him.
As Yu Xuan’s grip tightened, the blade turned crimson, a chilling intent seeping into the air.
The temperature of the battlefield seemed to drop, as though even the world had begun to hold its breath.
Yet.
Yu Xuan did not swing.
He did not step forward.
He did not even make a visible motion.
And still.
Every demon present felt it.
A suffocating sense of death pressed down upon their souls.
Thin red lines began to appear across their bodies, one after another.
Some formed along throats.
Others traced hearts.
Some split across foreheads, torsos, limbs.
The demons froze, terror finally overwhelming them.
It was only then that the truth became clear.
This was not a sword meant to just cut flesh.
It was a sword meant to cut intent.
