Chapter 339: Mini Adventures of Lingluo

The shorty waited.

Her gaze remained fixed on the suddenly-appearing, outrageously wealthy-looking Immortal beauty before her, brows knitting tighter with every passing breath.

Then the beauty spoke.

"No matter how vast the heavens are," she sighed lightly, eyes drifting downward, "for your height and sight to be so short... it’s truly disappointing."

She paused, tilting her head as if genuinely considering something.

"...Hmm. Maybe stretching your limbs physically would help."

The short one blinked.

"Oh!" the Immortal beauty continued brightly, snapping her fingers.

"I can even stretch them like noodles. Want to try?"

Silence.

Then—

Realization struck the shorty.

And the shorty’s pupils shrank.

"Y-you—! You! Yu!"

Her voice cracked mid-sentence as her anger surged again.

No matter how much time passed.

No matter how terrifyingly beautiful the person before her had become.

Some things never changed.

And in Yu Lingluo’s case.

It was her foul mouth.

"You insolent brat who doesn’t know the immensity of Heaven and Earth—!"

A terrifying punch tore through the air, carrying the intent to discipline a junior properly.

Yu Lingluo’s hovering bangles flared.

Primordial Chaos surged around her arm as she casually reached out.

BOOM!

The collision sent a shockwave rippling outward, warping the air.

The hut behind them lost its roof instantly, as debris scattered into the distance.

Yu Lingluo stood unmoved.

Her fingers closed around the shorty’s fist.

She smiled.

"Haha! Shorty, how weak you’ve become!"

The shorty froze.

Her eyes locked onto Yu Lingluo.

’Impossible.’

Even holding back.

That should have been enough.

Veins bulged violently across her forehead as the word "shorty" resonated in her mind.

"You really need a beating!"

Then her gaze drifted.

Upward.

Where the hut’s roof had once been.

"...."

It was gone.

Utterly gone.

A strange silence filled the space.

Yu Lingluo clapped her hands together cheerfully.

"Well then! See you~ space take me on an adventure!!!"

She spread her arms theatrically.

Before the short one could react, invisible spatial currents wrapped around Yu Lingluo’s body.

She began to drift.

Not flying.

Not teleporting.

Drifting, like a leaf caught in the hidden rivers between space itself.

Wherever space decided to take her.

She would go.

All she lacked now was a flag and a ship to complete the image of a great Yu Clan space pirate.

"COME BACK HERE!"

The shorty launched another punch, the matter and roof had already gone out of her hands.

But this time.

A chaotic aura erupted from Yu Lingluo’s body.

The punch was swallowed by space currents themselves.

However.

The backlash hit.

After all if you throw a bomb in sea, water would definitely be disturbed.

So space twisted violently.

Yu Lingluo was flung away, vanishing into an unknown direction.

Still smiling like a rogue who’d just committed a crime.

The shorty stood alone.

Wind passed through the roofless hut.

Debris slowly settled waiting for right timing.

She stared at the destruction.

At the empty space where Lingluo had been.

"...OMH," she whispered hoarsely.

"I am screwed."

Unseen by her.

Several ancient figures were silently observing the scene from afar.

For a brief moment, none of them spoke.

"By the Heavens..." one muttered slowly.

"She’s royalty, isn’t she?"

"Without a doubt," another replied.

"But why isn’t she an Immortal yet? With that bloodline, cultivation should be optional."

"That’s the wrong question," a thin voice interjected coldly.

"The real question is why is she even in the Lower Realms?"

"...Are you picking a fight with me, you bookworm?" an old voice snapped.

"Oh?" the bookish one scoffed.

"Did I strike a nerve, Old Ze?"

"Enough." A stern voice cut through them.

"All of you stop embarrassing yourselves."

There was a pause.

"She’s a junior," the voice continued.

"Be grateful she can’t hear you. Otherwise, none of you would have any face left."

"Hmph. Says the one buried in debt," someone muttered.

"WHAT did you say?!"

"Come then, old fossil! Let’s fight!"

Below.

Yu Lingluo drifted unknowingly through space, was smiling like a lady on vacation.

***

After drifting for an indeterminate amount of time through the violent currents of space, Yu Lingluo finally found herself a little farther away from the Chaos Heaven Peak.

Just as she was admiring the unfamiliar scenery.

A yellow bird with a hammer-shaped beak suddenly turned its head, stared straight at her... and took a dump.

"...?"

Yu Lingluo blinked once.

Then calmly raised her hand.

The falling offense obediently curved midair, spun with the wind, and returned landing squarely on the bird itself.

The bird froze.

A heartbeat later, it let out a horrified screech and fled into the void, leaving behind nothing but feathers and shame.

Lingluo burst into laughter.

Unfortunately.

She laughed too hard.

Her body tilted just slightly, slipping into the wrong spatial current.

The next instant.

BANG!

She crashed face-first into an enormous, ancient tree.

Not just any tree.

An Old Pineapple Tree.

Its branches were heavy with massive pineapple-like fruits that radiated faint spiritual fluctuations.

"...Oh?"

Lingluo plucked one casually, sniffed it, and shrugged.

"Free food."

She landed lightly on the ground and took a bite.

The moment her foot touched the soil, the ground beneath her vanished.

"Eh?"

With a pineapple still in hand, Yu Lingluo dropped straight into darkness.

She emerged in a shadowy world where massive wolves, made entirely of shadow were gathered in a circle.

They weren’t attacking.

They were... comparing their cubs.

One wolf growled proudly, pushing a slightly chubby cub forward.

Another snorted and nudged its own cub, whose shadow tail flickered twice instead of once.

Lingluo stared at that for a second and then she stepped backward.

And exited the shadow itself.

Still chewing the pineapple, she drifted once more through space.

Then.

"ACHOO!"

A single sneeze.

That was all it took.

The spatial currents twisted violently.

Lingluo was flung sideways and plunged into a glowing purple river.

The liquid swallowed her whole.

And when she resurfaced.

She was no longer anywhere familiar.

A vast domain stretched before her, filled with chaotic mist.

Then a figure appeared.

A middle-aged man formed entirely of swirling chaos energy, his expression wild with excitement and relief.

"Hahahaha!" he roared, throwing his arms wide.

"Finally! Someone fated has arrived! I Gentle Chaos, can finally leave this damned place!"

Lingluo paused mid-bite.

That name sounded familiar, she wondered why?
