Achieving Nothing, I Can Only Be the Pirate King-Chapter 592 - 349: Hive Island
Hive Island, located in the latter half of the New World.
Even during Whitebeard’s reign, this island was never conquered.
Previously ruling here was a legendary great pirate, associated with Whitebeard, Kaido, and Charlotte Linlin, named Ochoku.
But ever since ’Blackbeard’ Marshall D. Teach defeated Ochoku, this place has been his, becoming his stronghold.
"The pirates’ paradise."
A massive fleet sailed across the sea, with the Death Star leading at the forefront. Lily raised her telescope, gazing at the island ahead with a giant skull rock.
The entire island was shrouded in towns, with outgrowing reefs on the perimeter, and few places accessible for landing.
A natural harbor that’s not abundant, with a not so large area.
Yet, in the hearts of pirates, this island is like Mary Geoise, an existence akin to a holy land.
"Eh? It’s quite ordinary..."
Renedia removed her wind goggles, puzzled, "What’s so special about this paradise? There’s no amusement park, it’s shabby, like... um, kind of like Demon Valley Town."
"Lady Renedia, Demon Valley Town was modeled after Hive Island, but it’s not as good as here."
Standing by, Bellamy said excitedly, "This place is the holy land in our pirates’ hearts."
"Then this holy land isn’t that impressive, it’s terribly shabby."
Renedia pouted, "That skull is ugly too. What’s on the right, a bow? The color of the rock on its head is off, rather than a pirate’s bandana, it looks bald."
Bellamy: "..."
In the past, he definitely would have argued back.
But after the influence of Storm City, he now felt that this ’holy land’ indeed seemed a bit ragged.
"The buildings may be lacking, but the functionality is excellent, don’t underestimate it, Redy."
Lily put down her telescope and said, "This island is the birthplace of the infamous pirate games."
"Pirate games?" Renedia was taken aback.
"Davy Back Fight, Davy’s fight back, it’s been mentioned before."
Hawkins walked over, saying indifferently:
"A game to select crew members and grow the pirate crew, this truly is the origin place."
"Legend has it that long ago, pirates wanted to expand their crews but didn’t want it to be too bloody, so they invented this game."
"Oh... I’ve heard of it too."
Following behind Hawkins, Urouge let out a strange laugh, raising one hand, "This counts as a peaceful game, but are people really willing?"
"Hehehehe, of course they’re willing, after all, they’re pirates."
Moriah appeared from a structure on the left deck, snickering:
"Staying or leaving is up to the pirates themselves, especially those gathered at Hive Island, who aren’t really loyal, nor do they have much respect for the captain, they’re just pirates."
Lily thought for a moment, nodding in agreement: "As Sage once said, being a pirate is just a profession."
"Hohohoho, you’re right!"
A familiar loud laugh came from behind, as Sage approached the front deck with Gin and Marika.
"Without faith or wealth, can one really sell their life to someone else? If such a person exists, they wouldn’t be at Hive Island."
Sage laughed, "Hive Island is just a platform; those who like these rules gather here. Those who don’t, won’t approach Hive Island."
The sea isn’t just about Hive Island; otherwise, the Pirate Emperors wouldn’t have established their own territories.
Kaido, Big Mom, and Whitebeard were once on the same ship, but ultimately, none of them chose Hive Island, certainly not agreeing with its rules.
Sage is the same.
After resting for most of the day and waiting for people to recover from the shock of the Supreme King, followed by a brief respite, they headed towards Hive Island.
By now, they were almost there.
"Sage."
Lily called out, "Teach has already reached Hive Island and is waiting for us there."
"Hmm, then let’s prepare to land."
Sage’s mouth curled, "If that fool doesn’t bring out some good stuff to entertain me, I’ll surely look down on him!"
"Can I play the game?" Renedia asked curiously.
"Better not," Sage shook his head, "not adhering to the game’s rules would be considered a pirate’s shame, and I don’t want to be mocked by the weaker ones."
"Don’t enter someone else’s rules, Redy, that’s their power and home turf. What we need is to bring others into our rules."
Following someone else’s rules...
Is that still being a pirate?
At least not a pirate like Sage.
"Oh."
Renedia obediently nodded, turned to look at the approaching island, her wide, round eyes blinked, and pointed at the giant skull rock:
"Did it just blink?"
...
Inside Hive Island, a large crowd of pirates gathered, each one fierce and intimidating, not to be trifled with.
On the streets, fights broke out constantly, whether it was someone getting slashed or a bullet piercing through a head, noise and chaos prevailed.
Yet everyone held a drink in their hand, toasting and drinking freely, and after finishing, they would throw the cup and fight.
Chaos is the main theme of this island.
No matter who rules it, the tradition of the island never changes.
The pirates on this island came for this very reason.
Besides drinking and brawling, avenging and killing, this place is also a sort of safety for pirates.
No need to worry about the Navy, nor about being stealthily assassinated.
Vendettas and brawls are done openly, permissible, but assassinations are not tolerated by Hive Island.
Additionally, pirates also come here to recruit, or to merge pirate crews.
If there’s someone they truly want, they initiate a ’Davy Back Fight’ challenge, strengthening the pirate crew further.
Amidst this chaos, loud, hearty laughter emanated from within the giant skull, the laughter reverberating mysteriously throughout the island.
"Party, having fun?"
"This feast is to celebrate my victory; drink to your heart’s content! Anyone wanting to join, come on, I welcome everyone, hehehe!"
Inside the skull, it’s the base of the Blackbeard Pirates, resembling an interior of some primitive tribe. Teach sat on a wooden chair, with two burning torches beside him.
He held up a wooden cup, laughing heartily, drinking the rum in one gulp, with beautiful women snuggled up against his large body, laughing.
"Hey, Teach..."
Suddenly, the interior shook, and a large face emerged from the stone floor, saying: "Sage has arrived, meow."
Boom!
As soon as he finished speaking, a thunderclap exploded in the sky, and the once sunny sky turned dark in an instant, with fierce winds and heavy rain pouring down.
Causing this tropical climate island to experience an unprecedented storm.
"All this wetness, annoying, it’s a tropical climate here, meow!" 𝓯𝓻𝓮𝙚𝙬𝓮𝙗𝒏𝙤𝒗𝙚𝙡.𝒄𝒐𝓶
The large face continuously puffed up, finally transforming into a horned monster.
Evil King, Pizarro.
"Hehehe, that signifies a natural disaster indeed came over."
Teach grinned, "My AiBo, hey, let’s all go welcome them and celebrate this shared victory!"
