Adored Wild Sixth Miss, Even the Ice-Lord Loses Control-Chapter 538: I Won’t Disrespect Your Wishes
"Take their blood samples and head to the laboratory immediately!"
"Got it!"
Julian Hart complied with Serena’s instructions without question. Seeing the seriousness in her expression, he dared not delay and nodded immediately.
The laboratory was filled with the top medical experts who eagerly awaited the arrival of The Phantom Hand, each hoping to be chosen as his assistant and work alongside him.
After all, The Phantom Hand was an idol to all in the medical field! Working with him was their lifelong dream!
Serena, dressed in protective gear and wearing a mask, obscured her features except for a pair of strikingly beautiful fox-like eyes. She strode in confidently.
Julian Hart followed closely, fawning like a sycophant.
"These are the best talents of our Ministry of Health. Please feel free to choose one as your assistant!"
Upon hearing this, Serena casually pointed to someone, "That one."
The woman selected was immediately overjoyed. She quickly bowed to Serena, her voice barely able to conceal her excitement.
"Mr. Miracle Doctor, I will do my best to assist you and be a good assistant!"
The others who were not chosen were both envious and regretful.
"I’m so envious of her, being chosen by The Phantom Hand!"
"Who wouldn’t be? Being The Phantom Hand’s assistant is a dream come true!"
"Yes, yes, I’m tired of saying how envious I am! But did you guys notice? The Phantom Hand’s voice sounds so young!"
"Yeah, it sounds like someone in their twenties. I didn’t expect The Phantom Hand to be so young!"
Julian Hart immediately silenced their discussion, "Keep quiet, those not chosen should stand outside and learn!"
"Yes, Minister."
Serena, holding the blood samples, entered the laboratory with the female doctor and began her work.
Others watched all of Serena’s operations through the lab’s monitors.
Before they knew it, five hours had passed, and though everyone’s legs were numb, no one was willing to look away.
"Oh my God, this is truly The Phantom Hand! I could learn from these operations for a lifetime!"
"Who wouldn’t agree with that..."
Serena examined the lab report, her red lips tightly pressed, her face was grave.
This unknown and highly infectious virus was indeed a mutation from the X Potion!
Nyx had gone insane to this extent!
Although she didn’t know what method Nyx used to spread the virus through Stella, his intention must be to escalate conflict between the two countries for profit, or perhaps Nyx had an even grander scheme...
"So, what did you find?"
Seeing Serena walk out of the lab, Julian Hart quickly approached.
Serena collected her thoughts and calmly handed him the lab report.
After reviewing it, Julian Hart’s brow furrowed tightly, "This is more troublesome than we imagined!"
"Yes." Serena pressed her red lips, "I will develop a special antidote as quickly as possible."
Nyx’s plot must not succeed!
"With those words, I feel much more at ease!" Seeing the undisguised fatigue in Serena’s eyes, Julian Hart quickly added, "You’ve worked hard today, I’ll arrange someone to take you home to rest first..."
Before he finished, Serena shook her head and interrupted him.
"No need, someone is coming to pick me up."
Though puzzled, Julian Hart said no more, "Alright."
Sure enough, as soon as Serena stepped out of the building, a familiar Maybach greeted her sight.
"Baby..."
The man stepped out of the car, seeing the fatigue in the girl’s eyes, he tenderly took her hand and led her back inside the car.
"Did Elder Montague tell you?"
Serena leaned back lazily in the rear seat, her long legs casually crossed.
"Yes."
Damian Quinn nodded, and his captivating eyes focused intensely on her.
"Serena, if I hadn’t heard from Dr. Montague, were you planning to keep this from me?"
That was indeed her intention!
Cough, cough, but he must never know!
Serena cleared her throat, her face calm and steady, "I wasn’t planning to hide it from you, just too busy and forgot to tell you."
"Heh..."
The man chuckled softly and coaxingly pinched her chin with his long, elegant fingers.
"Serena, do you think I would believe that?"
Serena rubbed against his palm, clearly seeking to evade further questioning.
Damian Quinn embraced the girl, leaning down to plant a gentle kiss on her forehead, his voice low and hoarse.
"You wanted to keep it from me because you feared I would oppose your going, didn’t you?"
Serena lightly fluttered her beautiful eyes, "You’re not opposed?"
She’d thought he would oppose her going, much like Elder Montague did.
"My little girl is doing something great, I might worry, but I will never disrespect your wishes."
His gaze lingered warmly and deeply on her, filled with endless affection.
"Serena, promise me you’ll take care of yourself."
Serena’s red lips curved into a smile, and she nodded obediently, "Mm."
...
At the airport.
"Elder Vaughn!"
The Wanderer and Aidan Keaton had barely exited the airport when they were respectfully approached by a group of black-clad bodyguards.
"And you are?"
The Wanderer scrutinized them with a puzzled expression.
"Elder Vaughn, we were sent by Master Damian to pick you up!"
Hearing their respectful words, The Wanderer stroked his beard, "Seems he has some foresight!"
With that, he called out to Aidan Keaton.
"Disciple, get in the car!"
Hearing Damian Quinn’s name, Aidan Keaton’s eyes dimmed slightly, and his excitement at the imminent meeting with Serena diminished somewhat.
"Yes, Master."
"Are you heading to Imperia University now?" one bodyguard inquired.
The Wanderer shook his head, "No, I have other important matters. I’ll go to Imperia University in a few days. For now, head to the Ministry of Health!"
The bodyguard refrained from further questioning and promptly nodded, "Yes, Elder Vaughn."
The Wanderer nodded with satisfaction and immediately took out his phone to make a call.
"Minister Hart, I’ve arrived in Imperia and am heading your way now!"
"Great, great, the Ministry of Health warmly welcomes your participation, Elder Vaughn!" Julian Hart’s voice was filled with joy.
The Wanderer waved dismissively, "Enough of the pleasantries! You promised to introduce me to The Phantom Hand if I joined!"
Upon hearing that The Phantom Hand was at the Ministry of Health, he rushed to Imperia ahead of schedule just to meet him!
"Of course, of course, you’ll meet him tomorrow, Elder Vaughn!"
Hearing this, The Wanderer smiled contentedly.
In all his years practicing medicine, he had never admired anyone but The Phantom Hand!
He had longed to meet him, but The Phantom Hand’s whereabouts were always a mystery, leaving his wish unfulfilled.
Finally, his wish is about to come true!
The more The Wanderer thought about it, the more excited he became. "Disciple, tomorrow we’ll meet The Phantom Hand!"
Anticipating meeting the legendary Phantom Hand, who could heal the dead and flesh the bones, Aidan Keaton’s heart surged with excitement.
Tomorrow couldn’t come soon enough!
