After Betrayal: Lightning Marriage to Mr. Enigmatic-Chapter 32: Fired
Chapter 32: Chapter 32: Fired
Isabella Weaver took a breath, her heart pounding again violently.
He’s here again!
And this time, she could clearly feel that he wasn’t joking.
If yesterday it was to anger Cherry Lewis, then what about today?
Isabella Weaver didn’t know what to say; she stood up and tactfully said, "I’m still studying, Mr. Hunter, I’m going back to school. Thank you for having me."
"I’ll see you off."
Harry Hunter knew she was refusing, and there was a slight disappointment in his heart, but his face still showed no expression.
"No need."
Isabella Weaver slung her bag over her shoulder and turned to leave.
Harry Hunter just stood at the door, watching her figure slowly disappear, motionless for a long time.
Connor suspected that if the Young Master kept watching, he’d turn into a statue, and couldn’t help saying, "Young Master, she’s gone, don’t stand here in the cold wind."
Harry Hunter gave a faint "hmm," but still didn’t move.
"Um... Young Master, girls need to be coaxed. You’re always so cold and silent, keeping everything inside and saying nothing. Girls won’t like that."
"Hmm?"
Harry Hunter finally moved: "Then what should I do?"
Connor flashed a big smile, "You should be like me, always with a cheerful smile, talking a lot and being interesting. It makes you seem warm and sunny! And you should compliment them more, not always point out ’the difference between a person and a pig’.
"So do you have a girlfriend?"
Connor’s smile instantly collapsed, "No."
Harry Hunter gave him a cold look, so what was the point of saying anything!
Connor clutched his chest, feeling a bit hurt. Wasn’t he just teaching him how to coax girls, how did it suddenly turn into a stab!?
The Young Master is too harsh!
Isn’t the fact that he doesn’t have a girlfriend entirely because of the Young Master? As long as he’s standing next to the Young Master, anyone with eyes would fall for the Young Master, who would even notice him!
...
Isabella Weaver didn’t go back to school; she drove aimlessly in the rain and finally stopped by a deserted seaside.
Fortunately, she still had a car; it gave her a lot of security.
Maybe she should buy a place of her own, so she’d have somewhere to go.
Isabella Weaver’s gaze gradually became firm; she needed to take on more work, draw more paintings, earn more money!
As night fell, she drove to the club. As soon as she entered the workspace, Cora Ginger hurried over, "Isabella, I heard you were fired! The manager said the order came directly from the boss. What did you do to provoke the boss into taking action?"
Isabella Weaver’s face gradually turned pale.
Did Christopher Weaver take action again?
Won’t he even give her a tiny chance?
If he despised her so much, why not just strangle her at birth?
The intercom suddenly crackled with the manager’s voice, "Has Isabella Weaver arrived?"
Isabella Weaver suppressed her surging emotions and answered calmly, "Manager, I’m here."
"Go to the finance office to settle your pay for the past two days, you don’t need to come to work anymore!"
"Okay."
Her response was so simple and straightforward that it left the manager a bit surprised—she thought Isabella Weaver would ask why, had even prepared various explanations, but ended up not needing them at all.
Isabella Weaver neatly folded her work uniform, handed it over to Cora Ginger for a simple handover, and softly said, "I’m leaving, Cora. Work hard, and I wish your dreams come true."
Cora Ginger was devastated, "What’s going on here, just yesterday everything was fine, wasn’t it? There was even such a handsome man proposing to you, gave you all those roses, why is it that today you’ve lost your job? Is it because of him?"
