After Breaking Up, I Married the Dying Tycoon in a Flash-Chapter 359: Tender Trap (Part 1)
An Jiayi sat up from the bed, a slender quilt sliding off her, revealing her pale shoulders.
She saw Xie Zhang with his back to her, getting dressed.
Nothing had happened between them last night.
An Jiayi bit her lip, and after a long time, she approached the man and embraced him from behind.
Xie Zhang paused in adjusting his clothes, lowered his head, and looked at An Jiayi’s hands that were entwined around his waist.
The girl’s body was soft, pressing against his back, the sensation clear even through the thin fabric.
Xie Zhang was not Liu Xiaohui.
But for some reason, he didn’t feel much interest towards this young girl.
"Is there anything else?" Xie Zhang’s voice was cold.
An Jiayi shrank back, her voice quivering with a tremble, "No... there’s nothing."
"Mm." Xie Zhang said: "Then I’m leaving now, if you’re still sleepy, go back to sleep for a while."
"Mr. Xie..." An Jiayi clenched her lips, a row of teeth marks on her lower lip, she steeled herself and said cautiously, "I... I think it’s still early, if you’re interested, we could..."
Xie Zhang snorted softly.
He looked down at An Jiayi’s trembling hands, lifting his hands to remove her arms.
An Jiayi’s heart sank, she saw Xie Zhang turn to look at her, his face handsome and passionate, the epitome of an aristocratic young master.
"I am interested."
An Jiayi was stunned.
When she was making those gestures just now, she had not thought Xie Zhang would agree to touch her.
After all, he hadn’t done anything to her all of last night.
An Jiayi spoke those words more to report back to her boss.
But with Xie Zhang saying so, An Jiayi was unprepared, and she froze.
"Okay..." An Jiayi’s hands shaking, she pulled down the zipper of her nightgown from behind.
Halfway through, Xie Zhang grabbed her hand.
The man’s expression was very bland, his emotions cool.
He watched An Jiayi quietly, smiling lightly, and said calmly, "I am indeed interested, but such a short time is not enough for me to perform."
An Jiayi’s face flushed red.
Xie Zhang looked her over, his attitude seemingly nonchalant, and asked, "What are you going to do after you go back?"
An Jiayi cast down her eyelids, holding back the humiliation, and said in a low voice, "They will introduce me to other..."
"Other sugar daddies?" Xie Zhang asked casually.
The term "sugar daddy" was hard for An Jiayi to utter.
Her eyes reddened, and she nodded awkwardly.
"You don’t need to be like this, I didn’t mean to shame you." Xie Zhang said, "In this circle, you can’t keep yourself clear and clean."
An Jiayi choked up, she said, "If it really doesn’t work out, I’ll leave the industry."
Xie Zhang was amused, "So I’m acceptable, but other men might not be?"
An Jiayi looked into Xie Zhang’s eyes, a beautiful and bewitching pair.
"Yes." An Jiayi answered earnestly, "Mr. Xie can."
Xie Zhang was very satisfied.
But for a moment, he couldn’t articulate exactly where his satisfaction stemmed from.
Xie Zhang attributed it to the inherent vices of men.
He touched An Jiayi’s face and said, "Then come with me, I’ll talk to Wang Shao and have him stop introducing you to all those random people."
His tone was flat, without a trace of lust.
An Jiayi was certain that Xie Zhang harbored no desire for her.
But if there was no desire, why keep her by his side?
As an ornamental vase?
An Jiayi didn’t know. She had only heard that Wang Shao was very pleased, never expecting that someone as plain as An Jiayi could stir in Young Master Xie the urge to keep her.
An Jiayi was taken to Xie Zhang’s house in the suburbs overnight. Upon her arrival, everything was tidied up by someone specially appointed, everything in perfect order.
"Mr. Xie doesn’t come here often, but when he does, you should take good care of him, understand?" the butler said expressionlessly.
An Jiayi nodded repeatedly, looking timidly at the butler and asked, "When... when does Mr. Xie usually come?"
It was a question that left people unsure what to say.
The butler looked at An Jiayi with a strange expression and coldly said, "Isn’t that something you should ask Mr. Xie?"
Like waking from a dream, An Jiayi obediently nodded.
And so she moved into the villa.
During the first couple of days, An Jiayi frequently checked her phone to see if Xie Zhang had messaged her about coming to stay.
But Xie Zhang’s chat window was always empty, no activity.
As time passed, An Jiayi even forgot the fact that she was kept here by Xie Zhang.
She enjoyed the quiet and started her small, simple life.
An Jiayi planted a patch of green vegetables at the entrance of the villa and bought some goldfish, which she kept in a two-meter long fish tank.
It was said that it used to house expensive sturgeons, now replaced with lively and adorable little goldfish.
In the meantime, An Jiayi received calls from her elder sister Yao Yimin, whose voice was tense on the phone as she asked, "Jiayi, the landlord said you moved out. Where have you moved to? Why didn’t you tell me?"
After a string of questions, An Jiayi didn’t know how to respond at first. She hesitated before saying, "I am not... living there anymore..."
"I know you’re not living there anymore! I’m asking you, where are you living now!"
Listening to Yao Yimin’s angry voice, after a long while, she said, "Sister, I’m currently living at Xie Zhang’s place."
"You’re where?" Yao Yimin thought she misheard. She said, "An Jiayi! Do you have any idea what you’re doing! This is Xie Zhang! How did you get involved with this man!"
"He’s very nice to me... He hasn’t done anything to me. I’ve been seriously reading scripts lately, working hard, and trying to make money. Sister, I feel like ever since I met Mr. Xie, my life has gotten so much smoother!"
She was still too young, not knowing that every gift from fate comes with a price tag already attached.
She was lost in her so-called wonderful fantasies, her eyes shining. She said, "Sister, don’t worry, I won’t let anything happen to me."
Yao Yimin was furious to the point of spitting blood, but she knew that no matter what she said now, An Jiayi wasn’t going to listen.
So, she suppressed her anger, her voice taut as she said, "Alright, just be careful with your boundaries! Jiayi, your sister knows you don’t want to listen to anything I say now. I just want to remind you, do not fall in love with Xie Zhang, never."
An Jiayi’s eyes widened in shock, "How could I possibly fall in love with Mr. Xie? I’m not that foolish."
Yao Yimin’s voice finally softened as she said, "Alright, I have a few scenes to shoot later. I’m going to read through my script, you should also rest early."
The conversation with Yao Yimin dropped a pebble in An Jiayi’s heart, rippling waves that would later become a curse striking right between the eyebrows.
It was also on this very night that the absent Xie Zhang appeared in the room.
