After Giving Birth, All My Beast Ex-Husbands Suddenly Want Me Back-Chapter 83: Phoenix warriors
The mutated beast and Nina fought back and forth in a fierce exchange. When it realized that her defense was agile and it could not break through no matter how it attacked, it grew increasingly irritable. Its savage gaze flicked toward the protective barrier—and it suddenly charged in that direction.
Nina’s heart lurched. She rushed back to shield the barrier.
Seeing her return, the beast intensified its assault.
To protect her cubs, Nina had no choice but to endure the attacks head-on in front of the barrier.
But she knew this could not continue. She had to kill it quickly.
The beast lunged again. This time, instead of defending passively, Nina struck the instant it came within range. Thick, powerful vines shot out and bound the beast tightly. In that brief moment of restraint, she slapped a Immobilization Talisman onto its body. As the creature froze in place, she summoned several enormous, razor-sharp spikes and drove them mercilessly into its body.
The spikes pierced through.
The beast stared at her in disbelief, its eyes dimming rapidly before it collapsed with a thunderous crash at her feet.
It had never imagined it would die at the hands of what it considered a weak female.
Nina, however, had paid a price. She had not completely avoided its last attack—her wounds deepened, fresh blood staining her arm and shoulder.
When she confirmed the beast was truly dead, she let out a long, exhausted breath and sank to the ground.
It was finally over. For now, they were safe.
She quickly swallowed a Vitality Recovery Pill and a Healing Pill to restore her strength and mend her injuries.
She was on the verge of collapse.

By the time Kith, Finch, and the phoenix warriors arrived, they witnessed the final moments.
They had seen the enormous mutated beast assaulting a vine-woven barrier. A small, seemingly fragile female had rushed forward to defend it, taking blow after blow without retreating.
Just as they were about to step in, the beast had fallen.
Killed by that very same female.
The phoenix males stood stunned.
Had a female slain a high-ranking mutated beast alone?
In the beast world, females were typically delicate, cherished, and protected by males. Yet this one had stood her ground and fought like a warrior.
And what was she protecting so desperately?
Nina removed the vines surrounding the barrier.
Inside were several small cubs.
Shock rippled through the phoenix clan.
Had she risked her life for cubs?
Most females in this world left child-rearing largely to the males. While female cubs were cherished, it was rare to see a mother protect her young so fiercely—much less stake her own life on it.
This was unprecedented.
Kith and Finch’s hearts trembled when they saw the little white tiger and the little fox. This female had been willing to die protecting their children.
They looked at Nina—her body covered in wounds—and their expressions turned complicated.
Was she truly the cruel, heartless female they had imagined?
Yinny and Didi burst into tears when they saw her injuries. They threw themselves into her arms, sobbing that Mama was hurt.
The remaining eggs rolled closer, nudging against her affectionately.
Nina hugged them tightly, gently wiping Yinny and Didi’s tears. "Don’t worry. Mama is fine. I’ll recover soon."
The cubs buried themselves in her embrace, sniffling softly.
Even the phoenix warriors felt moved.
Guilt stirred faintly in Kith and Finch’s hearts.
Several phoenix males descended gracefully to the ground and approached her.
"Little female, are you alright?"
A gentle voice sounded near her ear.
Nina looked up, and was momentarily stunned.
The male before her was breathtaking.
His hair was as dark as ink, his skin pale as snow. His features were exquisitely refined, as though carved by a master artisan. A serene, almost untouchable coolness lingered at the corners of his eyes, making him seem like an immortal from a painting. 𝓯𝙧𝓮𝓮𝒘𝓮𝙗𝙣𝒐𝒗𝒆𝓵.𝓬𝓸𝒎
Even clad in a simple white beast-hide skirt, he radiated elegance and otherworldly grace.
Nina quickly recovered, instinctively stepping back.
"Who are you?"
Behind him stood several tall, strikingly handsome males.
"Don’t be afraid," he said softly. "We mean no harm. We heard the sounds of battle and came to investigate. My name is Odian. I am from Phoenix Cry City."
For reasons he himself could not explain, seeing her battered and wounded stirred something in his usually tranquil heart.
He had never seen such a resilient female—injured so severely yet not crying out once, not complaining of pain.
Nor had he ever seen such tenderness from a mother.
A trace of worry surfaced in his gaze. They had not brought a shaman healer—he regretted that now.
Behind him, the phoenix males were in disbelief.
Was this really their High Priest?
He usually avoided females entirely. Yet now he was speaking gently, even tenderly.
Nina studied his clear eyes and refined bearing. He did not seem like a bad person. She relaxed slightly.
The phoenix warriors, despite seeing her currently unattractive appearance, showed no disgust or disdain—only curiosity and concern.
A red-haired phoenix male nudged his companion and whispered, "Why does she have so many cubs with her? Don’t tell me she’s a cub trafficker?"
Nina blinked in confusion.
You’re the trafficker. Your whole family are traffickers.
His companion rolled his eyes. "Have you ever seen a trafficker risk her life like that?"
"Then where did all these cubs come from? They can’t all be hers... could they?"
Yinny and Didi glared at him indignantly.
The eggs trembled angrily.
Odian shot the red-haired male a cold glance.
Silence fell instantly.
The other phoenix males smirked inwardly. Serves him right.
Kith and Finch’s gazes shifted toward the remaining eggs.
Could those be theirs as well?
They knew Nina could bear more than one cub at a time—but this many?
In this world, once cubs were born and protected by their shells, bloodline resonance weakened significantly unless enhanced by special techniques. Strongest at formation and birth—after that, only faint directional sensing remained.
They had been able to track Yinny and Didi precisely because the cubs had already hatched and they had used a secret technique.
They could not yet determine what lay within the remaining eggs.
"Little female," Odian said gently, "where is your tribe? We can escort you back. You need treatment."
He extended a small bottle toward her. "This is healing medicine. Please take one."
Nina shook her head politely. "Thank you, but I have my own medicine."
At that moment, rain began to fall—first a few drops, then heavier.
Nina was about to take out a rain cloak when the light above her dimmed.
A magnificent, enormous wing unfurled overhead, shielding her entirely from the rain.
The phoenix warriors stared in shock.
Their High Priest was using his noble wings to shield a female from the rain?
Odian handed her a beautiful cloak shimmering faintly.
"This is woven from merfolk silk. It repels water. Wear it. Let us escort you back."
Nina couldn’t help but think—what a wealthy man.
Merfolk silk was refined only by high-ranking mermen and was exceedingly rare and expensive.
Before she could respond, another gentle voice spoke from behind.
"Little female, come with us," Kith said warmly.
