Chapter 112: Teaser...

Upon a throne of obsidian sat a figure that seemed to swallow the very light of the stars scattered around the cosmos.

He looked like a divine sentinal, A ruler born from the heart of dying star: Motionless, monumental and a terrifying presence.

To any being whether a god or a mortal he might appear the pinnacle of absolute might and authority. a personification of sovereignty over everything.

Yes...That’s who I am.

The Ruler of the Chasm, the Architect of the Firmament.

And also the the one who bears the weight of crown made of silenct, cold stars.

Bahamut...

"Haaah...This Realm looks nothing different from the last time I woke up" I sighed weight of eons of boredom echoeing through my voice.

I leaned my head against my hand, which was as cold as the obsidian throne I was sitting on. I glanced at my Supreme Domain which i created by own hands, It was Lifeless just like my eyes which held no emotions.

It stretched out before me in a perfect plain, with countless artifacts and Mythical treasures just laying around like dirt. No ripples. No chaos. Just the infinite, boring silence I had built for myself. 𝒻𝑟𝘦𝘦𝘸ℯ𝒷𝑛𝘰𝓋ℯ𝘭.𝘤𝘰𝘮

I have sat here for so long that the concept of time has become a stagnant pool.

"Argh..! Is that all you can do huh, To sit on your oh so mighty throne, and not fight me like a true Dragon" My gaze drifted down as I heard a voice full of resentment echoed where a small, broken shape was stirring yet again.

Ah yes How can I forget..

This warrior who had invaded my realm is the reason why i woke up from my slumber.

I wonder... how many eons have passed since I last saw a mortal with such perseverance?

Sigh...My memories are getting blurry.

"I miss the days where I was a lost wanderer who wandered aimlessly" I muttured a low whisper that no one heard,

At least back then I had a path to walk and wander arround.

...

..

Soon the warrior dragged himself up though his armor was shattered and his left arm broken and hanging uselessly.

He didn’t give up.

He was a speck of dust in front of me, The mighty ruler of the Cosmic Sea gasping for air that didn’t exist in this vacuum, he was held upright by nothing but his sheer, stubborn will.

Clang!.

He used his notched sword to steady himself. The sound was small, but it echoed like a star dying in this empty hall.

"Stop the futile effort, child," I said, my voice echoeing through the pillars of this reality. "I have weathered the hunger of the Abyss. I have torn down the pillars supporting the world. You are resisting in futility by digging a mountain with a mere needle."

The Warrior spat blood in response his eyes locked onto mine with a terrifying heat of his willpower. "A Damn Mountain..... Can be moved. One.. bucket of dirt.... at a time".

He lunged forward, Though it was a pathetic move— slow and full of desperation. With a flicker of my finger I sent a shockwave that slammed him Millions of Kilometre away to the boundary of my Domain.

He crumbled his breath coming in ragged wet hitches.

But he still tried to get up...

This confused me....

"Why?" I asked for the first time in Billions of years I wa genuinely curious about something "Why do you resist the end so much? You have seen my powers. You should know that even if you strike me you cannot ’kill’ what is eternal. Why cling to life that is already forfeit".

The warrior forced his already broken body to stand once more. His legs shook like reeds in a storm, but he didn’t fall.

"Because...they’re waiting" he screamed voice cracking with pure emotions. the sound breaking the stillness of the silent realm. "My Family....They don’t care about all this divine nonsence. They care that I come home in one piece! My Children..... I promised to spend the whole day with them, And my wives...I don’t want them to worry about me, worry that i won’t return! If i fall here.....No! I won’t fall" He vowed and looked at me, not with fear, but pity?

That was strange....

"You call yourself a Ruler? but what i see is nothing but a statue! You claim to have everything, but do you love anything? Answer me! I’d rather die a man fighting for my family than live forever alone on a throne made of cold stars!"

I love nothing?

The word’s uttured by the warrior whose name I have yet to know hit harder than the Abyss’s claws ever had.

"Love?" I contemplated the meaning behind those words.

With all the knowledge I have of the world I know that Love is merely a mortal emotion that affects the decisions of a man.

But to think it could burn so birightly like this....And Family?

I looked at his soul. It was strange not like a regular mortal, but it was connected. Strings of red thread tied him to somewhere.

somewhere he called Home...

I looked at my own hands.

There were no strings.

There were no connection.

Only the crown over my head.

"I see", I whispered.

I realised, what the thing I lacked is?, even when I had everything.

It was somewhere to call home.

Not this cold Throne. But a warm Hearth...

The warrior roared, igniting his very soul in a final, suicidal charge crossing the insane distance in a mere second.

Though I didn’t blast him back this time. Instead, I stood up from my obsidian throne, walked down the steps, and opened my arms.

The blade pierced my heart. The "Indestructible" Scales of the MIghty dragon parted like silk.

The warrior froze, his hands trembling on the hilt, I felt a strange feeling of refreshment at finaly seeing the warrior so shaken. I leaned in closer "Well done" I praised as golden blood started staining my clothes.

"You have earned this Brave one" I murmured, my voice losing it’s thundering power "Not because your steel was sharp enough to pierce my flesh, but your dedication pierced my heart, I had long since forgotten that such warm emotions even existed" As I said the domain began to shiver The Obsidian throne started cracking.

"Take your Victory. Go back to your fire And remember these words, for they are the last law I shall ever write and leave behind in this world..." I felt my essence begining to drift, pulling toward the cold embrace of the void.

I knew what awaited me.

For divine beings like me—those who belong to no pantheon.... no home, the outliers, the forgotten—there is no ’After.’ for such beings.

There is only the Void of nothingness.

I was choosing total erasure over this golden cage.

But that’s fine...It’s better to leave than stay rotting in this stillness.

"Though the Firmament doth shiver and fall... the platinum crown shall govern all." I declared as the last Command and Authority I leave behind. "One Day.... If One day the Realm falls under the darkness once again. It Shall be once again led by Crown of eternity"

This was the last thing I could do for the world which I lived in.

To leave behind a possibilit...

"What are you doing?" The warrior muttured confused as to what is happening.

I simply stayed quiet and gazed at the cosmic sea as my body began to disintegrate, Not getting any answer the warrior collapsed as he finally reached his limit.

"Before I leave...I’d like to know the name of the man who freed me from this burden" I asked as my body was already halfway vanished to dust.

The warrior still coudn’t understand anything but decided to reply "My name is Val——"

I nodded despite not hearing everything as my body had already left the realm.

"It’s a wonderful name"

I would certainly love to hear it properly next time.

Alas that might not be possible.

.....

..

I continued to drift in a space with nothing in site.

So it was the nothingness.

I didn’t fear it. In the final flickers of my soul, I remembered a serpent biting its own tail—the one who gave a simple servant of the divine a seed of infinite possibilities.

"At least..." I muttered, my voice a ghost of a whisper. "I can finally meet her...."

Slowly I felt the nothingness devouring my soul.

Though it seems I might not have the to find her in this Void.

Maybe I truly was meant to be alone...Even in this Void

I closed my eyes, ready to vanish. But beneath the ribs of my fading spirit, the "Seed" she had given me eons ago suddenly began to glow.

Ahem...

I suppose you are confused as what the hell just happened?.

To let you know, this is a sequal to this novel.

... Or more like a different novel with connected story.

And no It’s not going to impact or affect Aísē, and do not worry it will be in a different universe.

But this story will interconnect with Aísē in the future.

For now I am going to mainly focus on Aísē and when I get around 10 or so Chapters on this new one I’ll release it.

This Chapter is merely a teaser for now.
