Aísē: My Five Supernatural Wives-Chapter 126: Planning The Downfall of a Duke
"So you didn’t kidnap me because you wanted me to become your slave huh?"
Mephistopheles’ eyes widen, a look of shock and hurt flashing across her face.
"What?" she exclaims, her hand dropping from my shoulder.
"No, of course not!" She shakes her head vehemently, her long white hair with blue streaks swaying with the motion.
"I may have brought you here under false pretenses," she admits, her voice tinged with regret.
"But I never intended to make you my slave." She takes a step back, wrapping her arms around herself as if suddenly cold.
"I wanted to help you unlock your potential, to give you the strength to protect yourself and those you care about."
"I feel you completely turned a 180° after I crushed those shadow knights of yours" I said my eyes looking at her in skepticism.
Mephistopheles’ gaze drops to the floor, a faint blush coloring her cheeks.
"I... I suppose you’re right," she murmurs, her voice softer than before.
"Seeing you defeat my Shadow Knights so easily was... enlightening."
She looks back up at me, her purple eyes filled with a mix of admiration and something else - something deeper and more complex.
"I underestimated you, Valerian," she admits, her tone sincere.
"I thought I could manipulate you, mold you into a weapon against Azazel and Fallen." A bitter laugh escapes her lips.
I smirked 𝓯𝙧𝓮𝓮𝒘𝓮𝙗𝙣𝒐𝒗𝒆𝓵.𝓬𝓸𝒎
"So was your proposal of becoming my contracted Demonic spirit was also trap or something..."
Mephistopheles’ blush deepens, and she looks away, unable to meet my gaze.
"I... I won’t lie to you," she says quietly.
"The contract was meant to bind you to me, to ensure your loyalty." She pauses, taking a deep breath before continuing.
"But it wasn’t just a trap," she insists, her voice growing stronger.
"I genuinely want to help you, Valerian. I see the potential in you - the strength, the determination, the capacity for love and compassion."
Her purple eyes meet mine once more, filled with a fierce intensity.
"The contract was also an opportunity for me," she explains.
"A chance to break free from Austin’s control, to forge my own path."
Mephistopheles steps closer to me, her voice dropping to a whisper.
"And perhaps... perhaps it was also a way for me to be near you, to protect you in my own way."
"Alright....I guess I’ll go along with your plan, but What does Isabella thinks of this?, I don’t think she wants to see her father’s death" I asked mephistopheles or more precisely Isabella who was within her.
Mephistopheles’ expression turns solemn at the mention of Isabella. "Isabella... she’s a complicated matter," she says, her voice tinged with sadness.
"She’s aware of what’s happening, but she’s still struggling to accept it."
She pauses, choosing her words carefully.
"I don’t think she wants to see her father’s death as well,"
Mephistopheles continues, her gaze drifting to the side. "But she also knows that Austin cannot be allowed to continue his destructive path." She looks back at me, her purple eyes filled with a mix of empathy and determination.
"Isabella is stronger than she appears," Mephistopheles insists. "She understands the weight of her heritage and the responsibility that comes with it."
A faint smile tugs at the corners of her lips.
"And deep down, I believe she trusts you, Valerian. She knows that you’ll do what’s necessary to protect those you care about - including her."
"I suppose I’ll talk to her properly after this ends and you leave her body" I said with a helpless look.
After all no matter how annoying she was. She was still one of his only friends.
Mephistopheles nods, a hint of relief in her eyes.
"I think that would be for the best," she agrees. "Isabella deserves to have a conversations with you in her own body, without any... interference."
She pauses, a faint blush coloring her cheeks as she realizes the implications of her words.
"But for now," Mephistopheles continues, her tone turning serious once more.
"We need to focus on the task at hand. Austin is growing stronger, and we can’t afford to waste any more time."
She looks at me intently, her purple eyes filled with a fierce determination.
"We need to strike before he’s ready," she says, her voice low and urgent.
"And we need you, Valerian. Your strength, your allies, your unique bloodlines - they’re our best chance against Fallen."
Mephistopheles reaches out, placing a hand on my arm.
"Are you with me?"
Hearing her words I smiled and nodded confidently.
"I can’t guarantee much since I still don’t know much about this side of the world but I’ll make sure to end this properly"
Mephistopheles smiles, a glimmer of hope in her eyes. "That’s how you should be," she agrees, her grip on my arm tightening slightly.
"Let’s prepare a plan."
She releases me and starts pacing the room, her mind already racing with strategies.
"I know that currently, Austin doesn’t have any allies with him," she says, thinking aloud.
"It’s the best time to strike."She stops suddenly, turning to face me with a determined expression.
"We’ll prepare a trap for him," Mephistopheles declares.
"Lure him to a location of our choosing, where we have the advantage."
She taps her chin thoughtfully.
"We’ll need to gather our forces - your wives, my Shadow Knights, and any other allies we can rally."
"Lure him huh?....." I thought of a idea as I pondered her words, "How about you use me as the bait...from what I know that perverted man would do anything got a hold of me".
Mephistopheles’ eyes widen at my suggestion, a mix of surprise and concern flickering across her face. "Use you as the bait?" she repeats, her voice tinged with hesitation. "That’s... risky."She bites her lower lip, considering the idea carefully.
"But it could work," she admits reluctantly. "Austin’s obsession with you is well-known to me. Luring him with you could definitely draw him out." Mephistopheles starts pacing again, her mind working through the logistics.
"We’ll need to be extremely careful," she warns, her gaze sharp and focused.
"We’ll set up a trap within a trap - make it seem like you’re vulnerable and alone, but have our forces hidden and ready to strike." She stops suddenly, turning to face me with a serious expression.
"Are you sure about this, Valerian?" she asks, searching my eyes for any sign of doubt or fear.
"Once we start this plan in motion, there’s no turning back."
Mephistopheles nods solemnly, her expression grave.
"Even weakened after his exile, Austin’s strength is still overwhelming," she agrees.
"He may have lost his title and status, but his power remains formidable." She pauses, her brow furrowing in thought.
"That’s why we need to be strategic about this," she continues, her voice low and urgent.
"We can’t afford to underestimate him or take unnecessary risks." Mephistopheles starts pacing again, her movements agitated.
"We’ll need to gather as much intelligence as possible about his current abilities and weaknesses," she says, her mind racing.
"And we’ll have to coordinate our attack perfectly - every second counts when facing someone of Austin’s caliber."
She stops suddenly, turning to face me with a fierce intensity in her purple eyes.
"This won’t be easy, Valerian," Mephistopheles warns.
"I was born ready to kick that Bastard’s ass" I said with confidence as I looked into Mephistopheles’s surprised expression.
Mephistopheles stares at me for a moment, taken aback by my sudden outburst. Then, slowly, a smirk spreads across her face.
"Born ready to kick that bastard’s ass, huh?" she repeats, a hint of amusement in her voice.
"I like your spirit, Valerian."
She chuckles softly, shaking her head. "But we can’t just rush in guns blazing," she warns, her expression turning serious once more.
"Austin is cunning and ruthless. He’ll be expecting us to make a move."Mephistopheles starts pacing again, her mind working through various scenarios.
"We need to outsmart him," she says, her voice low and determined.
"Use his arrogance against him, lure him into a false sense of security." She stops suddenly, turning to face me with a wicked grin.
"And when the time is right," Mephistopheles continues, her purple eyes flashing with excitement.
"We’ll strike - hard and fast." She reaches out, gripping my shoulder tightly. "Together," she adds softly.
"Together!" I repeated with a cold look already imagining the the torture I’ll need to inflict on that bastard.
’I still remember how he looked at me like a damn pervert’ The memory only sought to solidify my resolve.
Mephistopheles nods, her expression turning serious once more.
"Yes," she agrees, her grip on my shoulder tightening briefly before releasing me. "As for when we begin..."She pauses, considering our options carefully.
"The sooner, the better," Mephistopheles decides, her voice firm. "Austin won’t stay weakened forever. We need to strike while we have the advantage."
She starts pacing again, her mind racing with plans and strategies.
"We’ll need to gather our forces first," she says, thinking aloud.
"Your wives, my Shadow Knights, any other allies we can rally to our cause."
Mephistopheles stops suddenly, turning to face me with a determined expression.
"I suggest we begin preparations immediately," she continues.
"We’ll need to scout out a suitable location for the ambush, gather intel on Austin’s movements and weaknesses..." She trails off, lost in thought for a moment before shaking her head slightly.
"We’ll resume our meeting tomorrow night," Mephistopheles says decisively.
"Bring your wives - we’ll discuss the final details of our plan then."
