At this point, everyone’s minds were racing:

Was the real Sun Wukong really killed here?

Was the monkey accompanying the Tang Monk on his pilgrimage actually a fake?

Though this conjecture seems presumptuous, upon careful consideration it does not seem entirely baseless. Sun Wukong represents a disobedient variable for the West, while the Tang Monk must reach the West.

Two monkeys asking countless people to discern truth from false, but none can, the listener knows but dares not speak...

Taking these clues into account, the more everyone thinks about it, the more terrifying it seems!

If it’s true, then that’s too tragic!

Could it be that the monkey everyone loves isn’t even a monkey?

Fortunately.

The big shot added another point:

"Just take my irreverent interpretation as a joke. I still believe that Sun Wukong is not dead, because the plot later proves that this Sun Wukong is compassionate and just, not the Six-Eared Macaque who beats up the Tang Monk just for a bit of luggage. The tragedy I’m talking about doesn’t refer to this event."

Everyone felt a bit relieved.

But the seed of this interpretation has been planted.

Perhaps in the future many such opinions will surface.

Because it’s sufficiently intriguing.

So why does "Poor Kid" say this is a tragedy?

Many people became curious.

To propose that Sun Wukong was killed by a fake Wukong already implies this person is quite bold.

This big shot explained again:

"The Tang Monk is a trap set by Buddha and Guanyin. It’s clearly recorded in the 99th chapter of ’Journey to the West’: The demotion of Master Golden Cicada is the first adversity, near-death experiences after he was born the second, throwing himself into a river after the full moon the third, finding family and taking revenge the fourth... The entire record is full of the Tang Monk’s adversities.

The Bodhisattva targeted their family before the Tang Monk even existed. His entire life was clearly arranged. Imagine, if your life was designed by someone else, would you consider this a tragedy?"

"Maybe some people will say, if this life is still not bad, then it’s not a tragedy."

"Alright, let’s continue talking about the monkey. You all probably feel that the status of Victorious Fighting Buddha- is something Sun Wukong earned through his own efforts. But it’s merely a title given to him when Buddha was in a good mood. Master Golden Cicada, as someone directly related to Buddha, should have been called back even without doing anything.

Bajie and Monk Sha, as the likable and non-threatening suck-up team, naturally needed to be there, only Sun Wukong was recruited...."

"How free and at ease was Sun Wukong at the beginning?"

New novel 𝓬hapters are published on ƒreewebɳovel.com.

"Just look at the Bull Demon King, he started just as unaffiliated and joyful as Sun Wukong, suffered from the suppression of both Buddha and Dao in the end and almost died. In the end, he had no choice but to submit to Buddha. This, in fact, is very sad. No matter how capable you are, you can’t overthrow feudal rule.

After you’ve struggled to develop your skills, you’ll still join it in the end; thus, Sun Wukong became the Victorious Fighting Buddha."

"Therefore, this novel is actually a criticism of ancient feudal rule."

"Those who think I’m over-interpreting, read the book again. You’ll find a law: all the monsters killed by Sun Wukong are without background, none of the monsters with a background died. They were either taken back by the gods or converted to Buddhism. Isn’t this tragic enough?"

Readers of Journey to the West were stunned!

Fans of the Primordial Chaos were even more astounded!

When they read the novel, they were only concerned about the plot, how could they think about this aspect?

But when someone went back to check the book, they were shocked to find that all "Poor Kid" said was true!

Monsters without background, like the White Bone Demon, were killed till there was nothing left of them!

Some monsters were even allowed to be monsters with their master’s approval, and basically did not receive any punishment, even if they had eaten people!

Take King Yellow Brow for instance.

His master, Maitreya, was a bit better, at least allowing Sun Wukong to enter his stomach and create a ruckus to vent some anger.

But Maitreya didn’t mention any of King Yellow Brow’s wrongdoings at all, just laughed it off and let all the matters slide!

King Yellow Brow went back without any punishment, still serving as his gong chime boy.

As for Taishang Laojun, it was even more amusing.

His mount, Nine-Spirited Lion, allowed his disciple to do evil in the human world, bully and oppress, and even helped him deal with the pilgrimage team.

But when facing Sun Wukong, he didn’t mention it at all, only said to Sun Wukong:

"My disciple reached sainthood through cultivation, and wouldn’t eat people."

He stated this quite proudly.

At this point, the readers realized that these immortals in heaven always try to defend their own.

No matter what their subordinates did wrong, they were able to gloss over it in a few words, leaving no trace at all!

How pitiful!

How lamentable!

At this point, "Poor Kid" seemed quite touched:

"What right do Primordial Chaos fans have to look down on ’Journey to the West’? Just the tip of the iceberg of my interpretation of this novel is already equal to the calculated maneuvers of those so-called Primordial Chaos experts. Not to mention, ’Journey to the West’ by Chu Kuang contains an astounding revelation!"

An astounding revelation?

Isn’t the pitfall in front big enough?

Fans of ’Journey to the West’ were shell-shocked at this point.

Primordial Chaos fans were utterly speechless...

Primordial Chaos fans loved to study and discuss the hidden "Easter Eggs" in the novel. The Primordial Chaos had many secrets to be revealed. But after listening to this interpretation, they realized that ’Journey to the West’ may have more untold secrets!

"This revelation just occurred to me while I was reading."

One of the experts explained, "Did you ever think about reading the story of ’Journey to the West’ in reverse?"

Everyone’s mind stuttered for a moment.

Reading it backwards?

How could that be?

Finally, this expert dropped a bombshell!

"Reading ’Journey to the West’ in reverse, it’s about the Buddha sending a master and three disciples to go to the east with the Eight Heavenly Scriptures and Little White Dragon to spread the teachings. Along the way, they encountered all kinds of monsters and demons.

After much fighting, they realized that these monsters all had powerful backing, and they could commit all the evil they wanted without being punished. Zhu Bajie and Monk Sha find this too corrupt and hopeless, so one hides in Gao Village and the other burrows into the River of Sand. Only Wukong persists in the fight against these evils, protecting his master and spreading the teachings eastward.

However, the Heavenly Court can no longer stand Wukong’s disruptive ways and they make a deal with Buddha—he can ensure the safe arrival of Tang Sanzang in Chang’an, but they have to get rid of the thorn in their side, Sun Wukong.

The Buddha agrees and after a calculated plot, the White Dragon is severely injured and drops into a mountain stream, Wukong loses and is trapped under the Five Finger Mountain by the Buddha while Tang Sanzang abandons him and continues alone to Chang’an.

There, he completes his mission of spreading the teachings and gets conferred as a royal disciple, enjoying wealth and nobility before passing away peacefully. Fast forward 500 years, Wukong finally escapes from under the Five Finger Mountain.

Without saying a word, he stirs up havoc in the Heavenly Court, leaving them with no choice but to make a promise—to reward Zhu Bajie with a human form and title of the Marshal Canopy, Monk Sha as the Great General Who Lifts the Curtain, if only they can kill Sun Wukong.

In the end, a disillusioned and broken-hearted Wukong, after witnessing the killing of his brother, seeks Master Bodhi to resolve the doubts in his mind.

Afterward, he seals away his cultivation skills and throws the As-You-Will Gold-Banded Cudgel into the Eastern Sea where it transforms into a magic cudgel, returns to Mountain of Flowers and Fruit to spend the rest of his life with his monkey brethren, eventually transforming into a stone at the mountain’s peak..."

Shocked!

With the appearance of this interpretation, everyone was stunned!

What a huge twist!

Is this over-interpretation or did Chu Kuang pave the way for this revelation in ’Journey to the West’ all along?

Why does it still make sense when read backwards?

At this moment!

Many people suddenly felt...

They had not understood ’Journey to the West’ at all!

What kind of a freak is this Chu Kuang!

A harmless fantasy novel turned out to be full of hidden depths!?

Full of satire and metaphors!

And...

According to this person, the interpretation of ’Journey to the West’ up to this point is just the tip of the iceberg?

Everyone was shocked!

Are we all reading the same novel?
