All Worlds Beg the Villainess to Act Like a Human-Chapter 59: Crowds Watching as Love-Struck Brother Courts Disaster (Part 6)
Qiann Yan changed into an outfit from memory, a simple dress.
These clothes conflicted somewhat with her principles, but Qiann Yan was someone who readily accepted new things. Adapting to the customs of this world didn’t bother her; instead, it felt refreshing.
Other than feeling a bit uneasy at first, she was now quite calm.
She found a hairdryer, opened the window, and slowly dried her hair, looking out at the sea.
"Fortunately, I didn’t dismantle you."
Qiann Yan suddenly sighed, startling System 666 half to death.
He was grateful to be a lost system rather than one tasked with binding to a host and strategizing for them.
Otherwise, he wouldn’t have survived until now.
"Bringing this hairdryer back would be a bit difficult, wouldn’t it?" Qiann Yan mused, realizing that introducing advanced items to her world wouldn’t be a good idea. She quickly dismissed the thought of letting things like hairdryers and electricity appear in her original world.
Moreover, in that world, she would rebirth every time on the third day after being born, every lifetime living up to ninety-nine, which felt somewhat like a futile effort. Until that issue was resolved, everything seemed pointless. 𝘧𝓇ℯℯ𝑤ℯ𝘣𝓃ℴ𝓋𝑒𝑙.𝑐𝘰𝑚
With that in mind, the enthusiasm for new items diminished greatly.
Just as she was almost done drying her hair, Gu Jingkui knocked on her room door, accompanied by his voice, "Yanyan, are you resting?"
Qiann Yan put away the hairdryer before opening the door. Seeing a still-soaked Gu Jingkui, she figured he must have just finished comforting Lan Yazhen. Honestly, if it were her brother, given how he always sided with outsiders, she would have dealt with him already.
But since this was the original character’s brother, she chose to respect the original character’s choice and ignored him.
"Is there something you need?"
"Yanyan, are you still mad at your brother?" Gu Jingkui smiled ingratiatingly and affectionately patted Qiann Yan on the head, catching her off guard.
It was really strange how people liked to pat heads for no reason.
Once Gu Jingkui removed his hand, Qiann Yan patted her own head, her disdain visible, and Gu Jingkui looked helpless. "How about I apologize to you? It was my oversight this time; I didn’t consider you. It won’t happen again."
Qiann Yan didn’t want to argue about sibling feelings, nodding lightly. "Alright."
"You’ve been soaking in the water for so long. I’ll go get you some cold medicine to avoid getting sick." Without waiting for Qiann Yan’s response, Gu Jingkui turned and walked away briskly.
She stood there for a moment, unable to comprehend Gu Jingkui’s contradictory actions.
He cared for his own sister but chose to save an outsider first in the most dangerous situation.
Gu Jingkui returned.
"Here, take the medicine. Otherwise, if you fall ill and feel miserable, you’ll end up clinging to me, crying."
Qiann Yan took the plain water and a few pills he offered, sniffing the medicine out of a habit.
"I got you some candy; swallow it quickly, it won’t be bitter," Gu Jingkui thought Qiann Yan was hesitating because the medicine was bitter, and shook a piece of preserved plum candy in front of her.
After analyzing that the pill was fine, Qiann Yan finally swallowed it.
Gu Jingkui put the candy into her mouth with a big smile and patted her head again.
"I don’t think you should always pat my head," Qiann Yan said seriously, and her earnestness made Gu Jingkui laugh.
"Still mad?"
*Bang—*
A loud slamming door was Gu Jingkui’s answer. He stood at the door, a bit helpless.
Sure enough, she was still mad.
