Almighty Father System-Chapter 165: What Families Do.

Leo and the rest of the people moved upstairs and the basement was vacated. When they reached the first floor, the nurse was still in a state of shock as she didn't understand what was going on, however, she knew that Leo was not someone to mess up with.

On the first floor, in the centre of the big hall, there was a circular couch and a table placed. This place was known as the VIP area and the people who sat here could see the entire place seamlessly and they would be better protected in case someone wishes to attack them.

However, at this moment on top of the table, a middle-aged half-bald man was kneeling with a few light bruises on his face. This guy was Walder Trei, and he was 'brought' over by the people of the south street security company.

Leo pushed the wheelchair and he came to see the man, and Simon snapped his fingers, before two men standing on the side turned on the lights.

Walder Trei looked at Leo and for a few minutes he was surprised, and Leo waited patiently for the man to step out of his reverie. The young man asked, "Remember me?"

Walder Trei shivered and mumbled, "Young Master Cardinal."

His voice was unsteady and the people could hear the fear contained within. They grew very serious as to find out what it was about Leo that scared him so much. Leo walked out from behind the wheelchair slowly as he asked, "Do you know what you have done, Mister Trei?"

Walder Trei was shivering in fear but he was not dumb, he recognized Fragrance in a blink, he looked at Leo, who was watching him with an amused expression on his face. Walder Trei wanted to say that he didn't know that Fragrance was working for Leo, but he knew that he did to save himself, even if he was shameless, that didn't mean he would allow someone to ruin him.

Leo walked closer to Walder Trei and asked, "Does your wife know how many children you have sired outside your marriage with her? Does she know how you have used underhanded means to get things done the way you like them?

I do, and finally, you hired goons to attack the lead attorney of the case against you. That lawyer is my sister, and for that, I will make sure to destroy you now."

Walder Trei shivered and said, "No, no, Young Master Cardinal, please don't do this. I will lose everything."

Leo chuckled coldly as he said, "Did you spare me after my parent's funeral? You also took away everything I had, and even joined that bastard in attacking me. No? Why should I be so kind to you, Waldog. That's what Carole used to call you when you wagged your tail to him, no?"

Walder Trei sensed the killing intent emitting from Leo's gaze, it was akin to a knife being driven directly to the depths of his heart.

Leo said, "I have called you over here for one thing, and that is to give you a chance. Try and seek if your savior would come to your help."

Walder was shocked, and Leo looked at Simon as he said, "Give him his phone, and get someone to make me a nice Crescent Bomb."

That said, he sat down on the couch with his legs crossed, and Fragrance watched from the side. After watching how brutally Leo beat up the guy inside the cage, she was surprised. Apart from stabbing him, Leo had done everything similar and even left him to die with no food or water.

Simon gave Walder the phone and said, "Make the call."

Another guy, who was the waiter in the pub came over to serve Leo with the Crescent Bomb drink. The young man gave the glass a little swirl and then he took a sip as Walder called Carole.

The call was connected quickly, and the other side asked, "Hello, who is this?"

The voice belonged to a lady, and Leo knew her. It was spring, and she had been taming Carole the same way Markus had tamed her. These days she had Carole doing her biddings early in the morning.

Walder asked, "Hello, may I talk to Young Master Carole. Please tell him that it is Walder calling from Angkor City."

Spring repeated the words on the phone and asked, "Carole, darling do you want to talk to this Walder person?"

Carole replied in a surprised tone, "Walder? Who is that?"

Spring answered, "He says he is from Angkor City."

Carole clicked his tongue and said, "It must be Waldog, I told him that our account was settled from the last time, what the fuck does he wants with me? Tell him I am busy."

Spring said, "You heard the man, have a good night Waldog."

That said, the call was disconnected, and Walder froze. Leo said, "Do you want to contact again and see how low he can fall?"

Walder knew that Carole was not going to help him, he mumbled, "I helped him with his odd jobs for so long, and he didn't even think it was important to hear me? Is this how Karma acts?"

Leo chugged down his drink and said, "I am not sure about Karma, but you acted like a dog and that's why the change in time bit you in the ass. Starting now, you have twenty-four hours. I will let you arrange everything that you want for your children, and everything, but after that, you will be going to prison."

Walder Trei shook his head and said, "I don't have anything to do for them. Please finish it already, Young Master Cardinal, I have nothing to say in my defense."

Leo shook his head and replied, "Even if you don't have anything to say in your defense I will make sure you get to the prison and serve the time that you deserve."

Walder sighed as he knew that he couldn't get away from this situation at all. Leo looked at Simon and said, "Keep him here, and when the police come, hand him over to them."

Simon nodded and said, "I will arrange for the cops to come over. From the information I gathered through my sources in the precinct, the two attackers have confessed to have taken money from him. The third guy is still at large."

Leo nodded and said, "Good."

Simon waved to his men as he followed Leo outside the pub as the latter pushed the wheelchair out calmly. After getting out of the pub, Leo said, "Don't leave that captive. Hide him away and make sure he suffers for what he has done to my sister."

Simon nodded, and Leo took Frag inside the car. He said, "Kyle, you drive, I had a drink trying to pose nonchalantly before that guy earlier."

Fragrance chuckled slightly and Leo said, "Kid, when you get back home, I will have a solution for your problems ready."

The girl looked at him with a pretty smile and said, "It doesn't matter, I am not so fragile that I would need a pretty face to handle things in life."

Leo looked at her and shook his head as he said, "It is not about that, but I don't want you to look in the mirror and think how someone made an attempt on your life. Forget about you, even I will remember this incident forever if I don't do anything, it would not be good."

The young lady just nodded without saying anything. They could see the sun coming up on the horizon and as the car departed from the pub, on the way they crossed paths with the cop cars heading over to the pub.

They dropped Fragrance at the hospital and the young man said, "Be ready, they will come to visit you today."

The young lady nodded and said, "Thankfully the room is cozy."

Leo smiled and said, "After you get discharged, how about you live with us? I can have my sister closer, and Lily will definitely love her aunty."

Fragrance was surprised, back when Leo and his family visited the orphanage the people wanted to adopt her, but at that time she wasn't ready to give up on her attachments, and now, she didn't have anything tying her down.

However, thinking about how Leo had his own family, and how she could end up affecting them. She said, "Can I take some time to think?"

Leo nodded and said, "That's not a problem. Take a rest, I have to get home. Snow and Lily were worried about you so I will be soothing them first."

Fragrance nodded and thanked him but only to be glared at as Leo left the room in big strides. The nurse was ogling at the screen of her mobile, which showed how her account had been deposited with a lot of money.

She looked at the vanishing figure and Fragrance, before she said, "Your brother really cares about you."

Fragrance smiled and said, "He does. I am lucky to have met him and his family."

The nurse corrected her, and asked her, "Isn't his family, your family?"

Fragrance was startled and then she nodded before saying, "Indeed, his family is my family too."

Leo came back home and he told Anastasia and Snow about what he did and Lily was nestled in his arms, so he cut out some gory and vulgar expressions, as he asked, "I have no idea why I went that far in tormenting that attacker."

Lily patted his chest gently and replied, "That is what Families do for each other. I am proud of you, Baba."

She kissed his cheek and fell asleep on his shoulder.
