Alpha Razor King-Chapter 88: Meeting The Elders.
**Razor**
"He’s so lovely," I murmured, gazing into the bright eyes of my son, Nathan, as I cradled him gently in my arms. The warmth of his tiny body against mine filled me with a profound sense of love and protectiveness.
"He’s turning one in three months’ time," Isabella said softly, sitting beside me. "He’s growing so well."
"I want to be able to celebrate his birthday with everyone, including Cross," I said, my voice tinged with sadness.
"And it will happen," Isabella replied, her smile warm and reassuring. "I’m sure we’ll get him back."
I sighed, feeling a mix of hope and despair. Ever since Cross had been taken from us, our lives had been filled with uncertainty and fear. But I refused to give up hope. I would do whatever it took to bring him back to us, to reunite our family once again.
Gently, I placed Nathan in his baby cot, watching as he wriggled and cooed, his small hands reaching out towards me. I brushed a gentle finger against his cheek, my heart overflowing with love for this precious child.
"I promise you, Nathan," I whispered, "we will find your uncle. We will bring him home, where he belongs."
Isabella stepped forward and hugged me tightly. "It’s going to be alright," she said softly.
"I know," I replied, pulling her closer to me."I have to go now," I said, gently pulling myself from Isabella’s embrace.
"Are you sure about this, sir?" she asked, her arms still wrapped around my neck. "I thought the elders hated you now."
"Don’t worry, baby," I reassured her, placing a tender kiss on her forehead. "I’ll take care of it." 𝐟𝕣𝗲𝕖𝕨𝗲𝐛𝗻𝗼𝐯𝗲𝚕.𝗰𝚘𝐦
Isabella looked up at me, her eyes filled with concern. She knew as well as I did that my departure could lead to trouble, especially with the current tensions among those stupid elders. But I had made up my mind. I couldn’t stall any longer.
"I’ll be back before you know it," I promised, trying to calm her down.
Isabella nodded. "I know you will."
She understood the risks, but she also knew that I had to do this.
"Be careful," she said, her voice barely above a whisper.
"I will," I replied, giving her one last kiss before turning to leave.
I stepped outside and saw Dean and Chris waiting by the car. Without a word, I got into the back seat, and Dean took the driver’s seat beside me while Chris sat in the passenger seat. We started driving towards Alpha Carl’s place, the tension palpable in the air.
"Boss," Dean called from the front seat, "there’s someone who’s demanding to meet you."
"And who’s that?" I asked, keeping my eyes on the road.
"I don’t really know much about her, but she’s part of our pack, sir."
"When was this?"
"Pardon, sir?" Dean seemed confused.
"Are you deaf?" I snapped, causing him to sit upright.
"I’m so sorry, sir... I mean, it was yesterday. I met up with her yesterday."
"And you didn’t tell me?" I was livid.
"I’m sorry, sir, I didn’t want to bother you," Dean’s voice shook as he apologized, but I wasn’t having it yet.
"Shut up," I said coldly. "We’re going to talk about this later."
We arrived at Alpha Carl’s place and walked inside. The Elders were already seated on the couch, deep in discussion with Alpha Carl.
As I took my seat opposite them, Alpha Carl spoke up. "Thank you for coming, Alpha Razor. We have important matters to discuss."
I nodded again, signaling for him to continue.
Alpha Roy, the leader of the Elders Council, began, "We heard about everything that happened, and we would like to know why you killed Alpha Dave?"
"Yes, I did," I replied, my voice steady. "I did it because he assaulted my wife."
There was a murmur of surprise among the elders. Alpha Carl spoke up, seeking clarification. "But we heard he wasn’t aware of who she was?"
I nodded. "He got to find out later and still didn’t care."
Alpha Roy looked at me sternly. "Alpha Razor, you shouldn’t have killed him. This is the second alpha you’ve killed in UpperVille in a space of two years."
I sat up, my gaze unwavering. "I did a great service to everyone when I killed Alpha Elon. He betrayed us to the fucking Mafia," I defended sharply. "As for Dave, he attacked first. I acted in defense of my wife."
The room fell silent, the elders contemplating my words. I could see the doubt in their eyes, the uncertainty.
"We should ban him from Upperville," Alpha Carl spat angrily. "He doesn’t have any regard for the rules."
I chuckled, throwing my head back. The bastard was really trying me.
"I don’t think so," Alpha Roy disagreed. "I don’t think that’s the best thing to do. As Alpha Razor stated, he did help us to destroy the Mafia."
"And Alpha Dave?" Alpha Carl scoffed angrily.
"To be fair, we’ve heard different complaints about Alpha Dave. He was a lot to handle," Alpha Roy replied, trying to calm the tension.
Alpha Carl met my gaze, anger evident in his eyes. "And Alpha Razor is any different? We recently just saw bodies of some werewolves littered on the road."
"Are you saying I did that?" I widened my eyes in disbelief.
"Well, you were the one I saw there," he nodded. "You and your boys."
"Alright, calm down, everyone," Alpha Roy stepped in. "There’s no need to jump to conclusions. It’s still under investigation."
"I’m sure it’s him, the bastard," Carl pointed at me. It took all I had in me not to cut his fingers off.
"Do you have proof to defend yourself?" one of the elders asked, but I didn’t bother to answer the stupid question.
"That’s enough," Alpha Roy intervened. "We don’t have proof that he’s responsible for the recent killings. However, Alpha Razor, since they’re pointing fingers at you, it will be to your detriment to find out the real culprit."
"Of course," I nodded. "Why not? Just give me a little time, and I’ll expose whoever it is."
"Alright, the meeting is over," Alpha Roy said, dismissing us.
Without a word, I stood up and strode out of the house, the cool afternoon air hitting me as I stepped outside. To my surprise, Alpha Carl followed me, his footsteps heavy behind me.
"Don’t think you’ve finally escaped this, Razor," he called out, his voice filled with anger.
I froze in my steps and turned to meet his gaze. "Why? Are you angry?"
"You don’t get it," he spat angrily. "You’re not the big bad wolf you used to be. You don’t command fear anymore."
I held in a chuckle, masking my amusement. "You should really watch your fucking mouth because the last person who said these words to me didn’t live to tell the story."
"Are you threatening me right now?" Alpha Carl’s voice was sharp, challenging.
"I’m warning you," I corrected, but he laughed it off, clearly not taking me seriously.
"You’re going to pay for killing Alpha Dave," he declared coldly.
I sighed, taking a few steps forward to close the distance between us. "Tell me, Carl," I said, my voice firm. "Are you working with my uncle?"
He averted his face, his fingers twitching slightly. "I don’t know what you’re talking about, Razor," he mumbled, unable to meet my gaze.
"You sure have grown some wings," I said coldly. "But I promise, anyone who’s in on this with Tom, I’ll fucking make them bleed. I promise."
I saw fear flash across his face, his bravado faltering. As it should. "I promise," I repeated, before turning on my heel and heading towards my car.
We drove for what seemed like an eternity. When we finally arrived at the mansion, I wasted no time and quickly went inside, eager to see Isabella. However, my expectations were shattered when I saw a young lady sitting on the couch instead.
She stood up immediately upon seeing me and bowed her head slightly. "Hello, Alpha Razor."
"And you are?" I asked, going straight to the point.
"She’s the one I told you about, boss," Dean said to me.
"Yes sir. I’m Cara, Anna’s friend," she replied softly.
"Do you mean Tom’s wife?" I inquired, my heart already sinking with a sense of worry.
"Yes, sir," Cara confirmed.
My heart caught in my chest, fear gripping me. "Is there a problem? Is Cross okay?"
"I don’t know, but she has a message from Cross," Cara said, her voice hesitant.
I drew a deep breath, trying to steady myself. "What is it?"
"He says that Cain and Alpha Tom’s men are searching for Kira, and he’s pleading with you to save her."
"Kira?" I shook my head in disbelief. Poor Cross, my little brother was yet to find out the truth about that girl.
"They’re planning to torture her in front of him." Cara added much to my distress.
