Alpha's Lost Luna Returns With His Twins-Chapter 131-Lips To Lips In The Dark
Iris:
I already knew I had upset Kash by not listening to him and going after Luca.
As I reached the hallway leading to the restrooms, I noticed the lights were even dimmer here.
Masked guests wandered past me in pairs. They were whispering, laughing, enjoying their time.
"Luca," I called quietly, stepping deeper into the corridor.
Then suddenly everything went dark. The music stopped. The lights went out.
All I could hear was my own heartbeat. I had not even grabbed my phone.
I had left it in the car in my purse. I lifted my hand to feel the wall, trying to steady myself before someone bumped into me.
However, a warm hand wrapped around my waist from behind, pulling me back into a steady position.
I gasped softly before my back met the wall.
"Iris," someone uttered in a gentle yet deep voice, and as his breath brushed against my ear, I recognized who it was.
Kash.
Even in the dark, I knew him from his voice.
His body pressed toward me, one hand on my waist and the other holding my wrist.
"This hallway gets too crowded when the lights go out," he murmured. "I don’t want you getting pushed."
As he spoke, I realized that before coming here, he had actually done his research.
I could feel his voice right at my ear and his breath along my jaw, so I knew he was very close to me.
"What are you doing?" I whispered shakily.
"What I shouldn’t," he muttered. "Like always," he added.
My heart pounded so loudly I thought he could hear it.
Then I felt his breath even more intensely against my lips.
At this point, I knew he was too close to me, but my body was too stunned to move.
Or perhaps my own deep hidden desires were rising, and I did not want to stop him.
"I don’t like seeing you run after him," he murmured against my lips.
At a few moments, I even felt his lips brush against mine.
A strange current passed through my body.
"Why?" I asked, my voice barely audible, though my gulp was loud enough to be heard by him.
He did not answer right away.
His hand slowly slid from my back to my waist, then moved up again.
My breath hitched, yet I still did not move.
Then there was a gentle press of his lips against mine, and my knees weakened.
Instead of pulling away, I leaned toward him, making sure no space remained between our lips.
His lips were so soft and warm that I wanted to taste them.
However, that was when the lights flickered back on, and I gasped, instantly stepping away and covering my mouth in shock and embarrassment.
His jaw tightened, and his eyes dug deeply into mine.
We stood there staring at each other while I kept my hand over my mouth.
I felt so guilty, as if I had been caught doing something wrong.
A loud coughing and grunting down the hallway from one of the restrooms was what broke the silence between us.
"Go check on him," Kash muttered at last, looking away and putting his hands in his pants pockets. "Before he passes out," he added.
I barely nodded, but I knew it was the right time to step out of his sight to avoid the awkward situation.
Kash strolled past me, though I had no idea where he went.
I moved quickly toward the restroom and spotted Luca near the end of the hallway at the first doorway.
The door was wide open. He was leaning over the sink, his palms pressed on the counter, breathing heavily.
He looked pale, and sweat beaded on his forehead.
I reached him in a few steps and placed my hand on his shoulder, trying to steady him because he looked like he could collapse if left alone.
Before I could ask if he was okay, Kash appeared out of nowhere.
I thought he had asked me to take care of Luca, but I could tell that both of us were so shaken from the moment we had shared that neither of us reacted properly.
Kash’s expression held a hint of frustration that he did not bother to hide.
"Stand back," he instructed me, brushing my hand aside as he steadied Luca with one arm.
"He can barely walk. I’ll take him to the car."
I did not argue. Luca did not protest. He let Kash pull his arm around his shoulder and guide him away.
As the two of them moved down the corridor, Kash glanced back for only a few seconds.
His jaw tightened sharply before he looked ahead and continued walking.
I could tell he was growing more irritated with every passing moment, and his jealousy almost filled the space between us.
Taking a deep breath, I started walking down the hallway.
At this point, I realized we should just head back home.
When I stepped into the main area, I immediately spotted Lara in the center of the dance floor.
She was spinning like she had lost all sense of direction, her arms flailing as she tried to keep up with the dancers around her.
A few women nearby whispered and shifted away from her, making sure her hand did not land on their faces.
It seemed she did not care who she hit or bumped while moving around.
Even the lights caught her at the worst angles, showing how out of control she looked.
I rolled my eyes and wandered toward her, already annoyed that I had to handle her because I had been left behind to tell her we were leaving.
However, before I reached her, a man stepped forward, blocking my path.
He was tall, with tattoos down his arms and neck. He wore a fitted jacket that made him look rugged.
He reached for Lara’s waist, and instead of stepping back, Lara leaned in with a ridiculous smile on her lips.
She giggled and let him spin her once, nearly knocking into two other guests who shot her irritated looks.
