Chapter 134: 134-Breathe In My Mouth, Kash

Iris:

Lara had been awkwardly staring at Kash.

She blinked a few times and then sniffled as if she were about to cry, but I did not see any tears.

She was more embarrassed than hurt. She stormed off toward the mansion without saying another word.

It was then that I turned to look at Kash slowly.

"It is fine, I can take care of Luca," I told him quietly, ready to lift Luca’s arm and guide him myself after opening the door.

I did not want Kash to be in trouble because of me.

"No," he replied in a tone that left no room for argument, and then he gently brushed the back of his hand against my arm to move me aside.

He positioned himself in front of Luca’s seat, slipped his arm under Luca’s, and pulled him out of the car.

Luca leaned heavily against him, almost lifeless. Kash carried most of his weight with one arm and steadied him with the other.

As he began to stroll him inside, I followed them.

When he reached the guest room, he lowered Luca carefully onto the bed and stepped back with a slow breath.

I did not turn on all the lights, just one lamp on the side.

The moment Kash stepped away from the bed, I walked forward and bent down to remove Luca’s shoes.

I had only untied the laces of the first one and placed it beside the bed when I heard Kash grunt at me.

I looked at him, noticing the disapproval in his eyes, but I ignored it and reached for Luca’s other shoe.

Before I could touch it, Kash moved quickly toward me.

"I can do that too," he hissed, sounding upset.

"Why would you take care of my man?" I asked him, looking up with a small frown.

"He is drunk. I do not want him to kick you or hurt you in his sleep," he replied bitterly, his jaw tightening for a second.

He tried to smooth his expression, but the frustration was clear in his eyes.

Finally, I stepped out of the way because arguing with Kash never results in anyone else winning.

He must get what he wants. When I moved aside, I watched him crouch down and remove Luca’s other shoe in a rough but efficient movement.

When he stood up again, he pulled the blanket over Luca’s leg with a quick tug that showed his irritation.

I rolled my eyes and stepped back from the bed, gently slapping my forehead.

Once Luca was settled, Kash turned toward me again.

This time his shoulders dropped slightly, as if releasing some of his frustration.

"You should not stay in this room with him," he uttered. "He is heavily drunk, and drunk people make terrible mistakes."

It was the way he said it in a soft almost comforting voice that made me unable to say no to his suggestion.

"Okay," I uttered awkwardly.

We both stepped toward the doorway.

As we walked out together, I hurried ahead of him so I could close Luca’s door.

That was when my heel caught on the carpet and I lost my balance.

I stumbled forward, but before I could fall, Kash caught me by the waist.

His hands wrapped around me firmly. One hand supported my lower back while the other held my arm.

I had also stopped breathing at once because I was so scared I would hit the floor at any moment.

But once I settled, I realized we were standing very close.

So close that I could feel the rise and fall of his chest against mine.

His fingers shifted slightly against my waist as if he were trying to touch me in a gentle way.

My hands were on his shoulders, and my fingers curled in the fabric of his shirt.

The coat I wore had already slipped off my shoulders when I started to fall.

He stared at my face for a few seconds before his eyes moved down to my lips, and my body shivered in his arms.

He slowly began to lift me so that I could stand on my feet, but he did not let go.

He leaned in slightly, close enough that I felt the soft brush of his breath near my mouth.

I knew I should have stepped back, but neither of us did.

His lips touched mine very slowly, and sparks ran through my entire body.

Instead of pulling away, I leaned forward and our lips touched again.

For a few seconds, neither of us moved, our lips pressing gently against each other.

He then cupped my jaw with one hand and tilted my face up toward him.

At this point, the kiss grew strong enough that my body wanted him more.

His other hand slid to my back with much more force, pulling me against him.

His fingers curled into the fabric of my dress while mine curled into his shirt.

The kiss started very warmly. Our mouths moved with a rhythm that made small sounds escape from my mouth into his.

Our breaths mixed together. I held tightly onto him.

The softness of his lips moved against mine, showing me that he wanted me just as much as I wanted him.

However, slowly both of us began to part. When he pulled back, he rested his forehead against mine, breathing hard, but he was still holding onto me.

The hallway was quiet. Everyone was sleeping and we kept making mistakes that night.

"I should–I should go," I stuttered. I could barely speak, and I felt embarrassed when my voice came out shaky.

However, the minute I moved quickly toward my children’s bedroom door and held the doorknob, a hand reached for me and I froze.

Kash grabbed my arm and pulled me back toward him, turned me around, and without saying another word, he pressed me against the wall with his body close to mine.

I realized at that moment that the night was still not over.

"Iris," he whispered my name in a tone that sounded like a plea. 𝓯𝙧𝙚𝒆𝙬𝙚𝒃𝙣𝙤𝒗𝓮𝓵.𝙘𝙤𝙢

However, there was a brief pause, and I guessed he was waiting for me to either accept or reject his advances.

I am embarrassed to admit that I did not reject his advances that night.
