Alpha's Lost Luna Returns With His Twins-Chapter 179-I Sadly Played Her To Have Her
Luca:
"Explain," I demanded.
She smiled, leaned forward, and picked up her glass.
"There is a bottle over there. You can pour yourself a glass while I explain how this plan would work," she commented, but I raised my hand to stop her. I wanted to be fully clear-headed when I heard her plan, so she began speaking instead.
"Become the perfect victim for her. Be upset about the outcome of the videos. Show her that you are equally affected. Play the game. Play the role."
That was all she said, and I stood up from the couch. She watched me closely, waiting for my reaction. I stepped over to the bottle and grabbed it.
"What are you doing?" she questioned.
I turned to look at her and gave her a grin.
"Did you say play the part? I drink when I am devastated."
As soon as I said that, she smiled, knowing I was on her side once again. 𝕗𝐫𝐞𝕖𝕨𝐞𝗯𝚗𝕠𝘃𝐞𝚕.𝐜𝗼𝚖
"What about Scarlett?" I asked her, pouring myself a glass of wine, then stepping back and sitting down with her.
"Scarlett was in on it. She knew everything. She was fine. She was enjoying the money I gave her."
I could not believe Lady Clarissa was that clever. I knew she was evil, but clever? That was new.
I sat down, took a drink, then tilted my head at her.
"So how will you ensure that Iris marries me?" I questioned. "Once Wilson wakes up, there will be nothing linking Wilson to her son. There will be no leverage in your hand. How do you plan to make her marry me?" I added, wanting to be certain.
I knew Iris’s mother could be very clever, but she could also be very destructive. I wanted the plan to be solid, so the outcome was that I ended up marrying her.
"When Wilson wakes up, whether Iris likes it or not, she will be forced into the marriage," she replied. "It will happen quickly. Before she can even understand what is happening to her, she will be married to you. I give you my word."
She finished, and I nodded, giving it some thought.
"Why are you so against the idea of your daughter staying in the werewolf world or being married to Alpha King Kash?" I asked, noticing Lady Clarissa’s eyebrows tense.
She held my gaze while taking a sip from her glass, and I did the same.
"Werewolves have hurt someone I care deeply about," she remarked. "They are not to be trusted. The minute they find out my daughter is a lycan, they will hurt her too. She is naive, just like someone else I once knew. They do not understand that these Alpha males can speak softly, play pleasant tunes, and show gestures that make people believe they are special, and then they kill them," Lady Clarissa whispered.
Goosebumps spread across my skin. I knew what she was talking about.
Her sister.
I did not dwell on it. It was not my business. I only knew that her sister had run away from the lycan community to be with an Alpha. It clearly did not end well, since she was returned to the lycan community with her body mutilated in a bag.
"Anyway, I will try to use the videos to coerce Iris into marrying you along with Wilson’s threats," she continued. "Do not worry. You will be the end goal for her. That will ensure she does not return to Kash."
She added this, snapping out of it, and I noticed a tear shining in the corner of her eye. Ever since life had struck her with losing one beloved person and watching another suffer, she had changed.
I did not care. I was getting Iris by the end of the day.
After we made the deal, I drank enough and then headed back to Iris’s room. She was waiting for me to tell her what I was thinking.
The plan was simple. I would go in, act like I had seen the videos and that they were devastating. I would act unsettled and say I wanted to leave. Then her mother would stop her and push her to ask me to marry her.
Current Time...
"Come on, sit down and relax," Lady Clarissa told me, gesturing for me to have a drink with her, but I could not. I had been pacing anxiously.
"You promised Wilson will not hurt her," I told her, watching her roll her eyes at me.
"She is my daughter, Luca. I will never let any of them hurt each other. Do not worry. He will just scare her enough," Lady Clarissa muttered, settling comfortably into her seat.
Earlier that day, I had seen Iris enter the code. I had been on a mission to get it, and I finally succeeded. I grabbed the cure and the piece of paper and handed them to Lady Clarissa. She had promised me that the end result would be Iris marrying me.
With the recent events, I could tell I was losing her instead of getting closer to her. Ever since she got the crown, she had completely drifted away from me. I was nothing more than a servant to her.
Anyway, no one could ever believe anything could ever happen between us, and I hated the idea of it. That was why I believed Lady Clarissa was right. In order for me to have Iris, she needed to lose the crown. Iris needed to be afraid. I wanted to be her prince.
The first thing we did was give him the cure. By the time Iris was with her children, everything had already been planned. By the time she returned to her room, Wilson had returned to the mansion.
He caused chaos. When he woke up, he could not control himself. He killed a few people, but then we gave him the cure, and he returned to his senses. Still, his hatred for everyone who had lived normally while he suffered returned with him.
