Alpha's Lost Luna Returns With His Twins-Chapter 261-Plan B Is Already In Works
Lara:
In the past few hours, I had carefully brought my plan to completion. I had tried with full attention to convince Zoe that I meant well for her.
Iris ruined the entire sequence when she brought up the topic in front of her husband and Zoe’s brother at the dinner table.
My mood was already spoiled.
My eyes stayed on Zoe. I wanted her to snap at Iris in front of her brother. I wanted her to say, ’Stay out of my matter.’
I had explained to her so many times not to listen to anyone else and to rely directly on me.
I could not openly speak against Iris. I felt Zoe was walking on a thin line between right and wrong. She had started to understand good deeds and bad deeds, little by little.
That meant I had to handle her very carefully now.
As for her mother, that foolish woman was completely under my control. She believed I adored her. She thought that if I replaced Iris in her life, she would rule this mansion forever.
Little did she know I would be the first to kick her out of Kash’s life. There was no place here for free loaders.
Markus openly stated that he did not want her to take the test.
"I think we should not interfere in their personal matter," I remarked, leaning back in my chair. "They will decide for themselves. I am certain he will soon realize how necessary it is for a woman to get tested, to understand what the actual problem is."
I quickly tried to speak so I could join the discussion. I wanted to remind Zoe that if she waited, Markus would eventually ask her to get tested himself.
"Lara, you are forgetting something," Iris countered, turning toward me. "When you tell everyone not to interfere, you are also interfering." She smiled at me.
"Everyone here is giving an opinion," she continued. "And honestly, I find it strange that a woman does not even have the right to decide about her own body." A sigh heaved across her lips.
"She is not doing anything wrong," Iris insisted. "She is only asking for a test. If she finds out now, then treatment can begin on time."
Lady Vivian straightened her spine. Iris immediately fell silent.
I knew at least Lady Vivian would not let her speak for long.
"Iris," Lady Vivian cut in sharply. "They are the ones who will have children. When Markus is ready, he will say so. You should not interfere."
Her tone was so harsh that I almost enjoyed it.
A slight smile formed on my face. I quickly raised my glass in front of my lips to hide it.
"Who is asking them to have children right now? I only want Zoe to get tested. If something is wrong, it can be treated in time."
Iris opened her mouth again.
Honestly, she was so cunning that for a moment she almost convinced me that she was right.
"Iris is right," Kash declared, placing his fork down. "Of course, I cannot force Zoe to make a decision," he continued. "But if she wants to get the test done, no one should influence her." he paused everyone with a harsh glance.
"This discussion ends here. Everyone eat."
Kash gave the final decision. Of course, he pretended he was speaking like an alpha king.
In reality, he was taking Iris’s side. The mind behind every word was hers.
Silence fell over the table. Everyone resumed eating.
I was irritated.
After finishing my meal, I noticed Kash gathering the dishes. He was only doing it to please Iris because she had started doing the same.
There were countless maids in this house. Yet Iris enjoyed playing servant.
She acted like a perfect saint, as if she were handling everything herself. Kash joined her.
Their children had already gone to their rooms. Those two annoying little creatures were out of sight.
Lady Vivian led Zoe to her room. I turned toward mine.
In the hallway, I saw Markus pacing from one corner to the other. He kept dialing someone, but each time the call disconnected.
It had to be that woman. The one who was carrying his child.
"Psttt! Come here," I made a soft sound to catch his attention. Then I gestured with my hand toward the mansion entrance.
He looked at me, and the color drained from his face. He knew I had the power to control his life.
As I began to walk away, he followed me.
Once we were outside in the fresh air, I pretended I had only come out for a walk. As if we had met by accident.
"So she will get the test done?" I asked Markus.
I wanted to turn and look straight into his eyes. Whenever I did that, he remembered I knew his secrets.
"That will not happen," Markus responded quickly. "I told you, I will remove her from here first."
I nodded, patiently listening to him.
"I am arranging things. It is difficult with this job and everything. Even if I manage it, she is not agreeing," he continued, running a hand through his hair. "Today she started again. She says we can have the baby but stay here for now. She does not want to leave soon. What am I supposed to do if she does not listen?"
He poured out all his complaints.
I realized this was where the real work began.
"Leave that for now," I said after taking a deep breath. "I have something else to discuss. The plan I told you about for Iris. Are you working on it?"
He nodded confidently.
"Yes, I am working on it," Markus assured me. "Within a week, I will plant enough doubt in everyone’s mind. But I have to be careful. I do not want my involvement exposed."
He spoke as if he had accomplished something great. In truth, he had only initiated one incident.
Much more was required for Kash to finally throw Iris out of the mansion.
"For now, handle everything," I replied, pressing one hand into the other as if massaging it. "I am pregnant. I cannot take this much stress."
"That is strange news," Markus muttered, staring at me. "I thought this time you were the one who got kicked out."
As soon as he said that, I looked at him sharply.
His shoulders slouched.
"I am really sorry," he murmured.
"Anyway, I should go," he added. "Otherwise Zoe will start suspecting me."
With that, he finally left.
