Alpha's Lost Luna Returns With His Twins-Chapter 314-They Are Losing
Lara:
"Hey," I said, smiling brightly at her.
"Try not to talk about Zoe moving out," she said immediately and I gave her a confused look.
"What do you mean?" I asked, pouting.
"Lara, my daughter is not ready to go and live alone after what happened. She needs—"
As she continued speaking, I cut her off.
"I understand your concern, but she’s not a victim. I don’t know why you keep forgetting that. Nothing happened to her. Her husband was the victim, and I think he wants to leave. Did you not see him nod?" I said firmly.
As I spoke, I watched her eyes widen, shock settling in. She had little idea that this was only the beginning for her.
"Lara, I hope you’re not forgetting that my daughter loves Markus and how Iris has played with her heart by trying to steal her husband," Lady Vivian began to yap, and I started nodding because I already knew all of that.
I did not know why she had to repeat herself and make it so irritating for me.
"I know. I know all that," I snapped, then cleared my throat because I realized I was getting a little ahead of myself.
"Lady Vivian, I think it is time you realize that your daughter cannot avoid the truth that as long as she stays here, her relationship will remain doomed. I think it is high time she leaves. And why do we care about her going too far? She is not going far. She will be right there. You will be with her," I said, watching her carefully.
As I said that, I saw another wave of shock cross her face.
"Anyway, I hope you will support her. I hope you will convince her so she can take control of her husband instead of staying here and letting him become lazy. Please understand, I am only doing this for her," I added softly.
But Lady Vivian already looked upset with me. She gave me a strange look, yet it did not stop me from walking away. I simply turned around and walked away from her.
I left Lady Vivian standing there in shock and went straight to Kash. He was in his room getting ready.
As soon as I peeked inside, I smiled at him, and he gestured with his hand for me to come in.
I wanted to hug him from behind. However, I noticed there was still a slight resistance in his body, so I immediately stepped back. I did not want to startle him. I wanted everything to happen naturally.
His heart had just been broken, and he was still angry at his ex-wife. I wanted him to feel that I was not forcing anything on him. I wanted to give him space.
"Thank you so much, Kash," I said softly. "I will move into one of the downstairs rooms."
As I started speaking, he turned around, fixing his tie.
"Why a downstairs room? You will stay here in the bedroom. You are my wife. Did you forget?" he asked teasingly.
That was all I wanted to hear. I gave him a smile.
"Thank you so much. You are so sweet," I said, and he gave me a playful look.
"Why do you have to thank me? Come on, don’t you know you are my wife? I will do anything for you. Besides, I have now realized that I may have been taking care of the wrong one, so I do not want to lose the right one," he said gently, touching my cheek.
I wondered if, had I done this in the beginning, I would have been completely happy by now. Of course, I was happy now, but there were small victories Iris had gained, those could have been prevented. Still, it was better now.
"Also, I wanted to talk about Zoe," I said carefully. "I realized I spoke a lot, and your mother did not look very happy. I am really sorry. I was only thinking about Zoe."
I forced myself to sound guilty as I apologized. Kash looked at me in surprise, then laughed softly.
"Why are you apologizing, Lara, as if I don’t know how much you care about my sister? And no, of course my mother would not take offense. It is not like you said anything wrong. What you said is exactly what we should have considered so all this could have been avoided. Of course, I would have preferred to know Iris’s true face earlier, but my sister should not have suffered in the process. And I know if it wasn’t Markus, it would have been someone else," he said firmly.
Kash did not hold back while speaking about Iris. I had noticed he no longer looked in love or broken when talking about her. Instead, he looked angry that he had been fooled.
"So you also think my suggestion is right?" I asked, and Kash gave me a satisfied nod, making me smile back at him.
"Now go ahead and ask the maids and the servants to take your things downstairs, okay? I’m waiting. Then I’ll leave for work," he said, leaning in to give me a peck on the head.
I was beyond ecstatic.
When I walked out, I noticed Lady Vivian was already coming downstairs with Zoe.
I knew they must have had a conversation and were probably going to talk to Kash about me.
Or perhaps they were planning to convince him that moving Zoe out of the mansion was not a good idea.
I had already done my part, so I said nothing to them. Instead, I went and sat in the living room, watching Lady Vivian as she looked at me with confusion written across her face.
I suppose she was trying to decode me, but it would take her time. Before she figured anything out, I would have already pulled the ground from beneath her feet.
Then I watched them enter the room. I waited patiently for a few minutes.
When they walked out, there was nothing but disappointment on their faces.
